4160Tuesdays Red Queen x CaFleureBon + 9th Birthday Draw

Today is International Fragrance Day (we publish international perfume reviews 365 days a year). It is also the eve of March 22, 2019, ÇaFleureBon’s 9th Anniversary. I have done Anniversary posts before where I have introduced the work of brilliant American artisan perfumers who create a special fragrance to commemorate the occasion, (notably our 1st birthday with Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Lautrec, Amanda Feeley Little Black Dress and Anya McCoyTimeless; our 4th anniversary with Laurie Erickson of Sonoma Scent’s Yin and Ylang and the seven American perfumers Amber Jobin, Angela St. John, Christi Meshell, Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, Ellen Covey, Patrick Kelley and Shelley Waddington who composed the perfumes for Project Talisman our 7th year project). Last year, 2018, I ventured across the pond to enlist Sarah McCartney of 4160 Tuesdays for White Queen Sarah McCartney returns with our 9th year celebratory perfume- 4160 Tuesdays Red Queen x CaFleureBon.

Vintage Nahema Ad

Christian Dior famously said “Make me a fragrance that smells like Love”. … Miss Dior was born. My goal was less lofty… I asked Sarah “Make me a rose fragrance I could love, the way I do Guerlain Nahema.” I don’t wear rose perfumes in general. Until 4160Tuesdays Red Queen x CaFleureBon there have been two.  I hoard my dram of 1979  Guerlain Nahema, which is based on the tale of Scheherazade’s fearless princess, the girl on fire. Nahema seems like every rose ever made and like no real rose at all.

Roses are symbolic in Tarot, they are the Queen of the garden. The number 9 takes on many meanings as well… from miscommunication to accomplishment. What Sarah has achieved with Red Queen began as a miscommunication but is indeed an accomplishment, and exactly what I hope it would be!- Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

“Michelyn and I talked about making 4160Tuesdays White Queen, our first Alice In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass fragrance, there was always the counterpart in the background. After we launched White Queen, initially we talked about creating Dark Queen, the opposing chess piece, then naturally it became Red Queen, a fragrance with roses, because Michelyn doesn’t really care for rose perfumes, and because of the books, the game and the Tim Burton film. We talked about creating a fragrance with the same feel as White Queen, but featuring rose instead of the creamy lactones and jasmine. For White Queen, Michelyn’s original masterplan was that I ought to use my favourite signature materials – the ones I always gravitate towards – then to add the “Alice down the rabbit hole” feeling, plus the non-sweet gourmand, creamy lactones, with jasmine and frankincense.

Michelyn envisioned Rose Queen using this photo from Kirsty Mitchell’s Wonderland Series

Oddly, despite it being totally my style (I thought) we got a lot of comments saying that people found it was completely different from anything I’d made before. To me, this is really interesting as it feels very much in my style, but reactions to perfume often surprise me. (Michelyn takes some credit as a Creative Director for this).

For 4160Tuesdays Red Queen X CaFleurebon, I kept many of my favourite materials from White Queen as I wanted the earthy rabbit hole feel. Parsnip, patchouli and carrot seed essential oils. There are my absolute favourites: labdanum, raspberry leaf, blackcurrant bud and older style musks, including Ambrettolide and Galaxolide. I used Turkish rose absolute and Egyptian geranium plus a drop of caraway seed and frankincense serrata. When I waa totally happy I made a small edition of 2.5 litres and waited until it was ready to send to New York. Then, Michelyn reminded me what she wanted was for it to smell not unlike vintage Nahema, “but better” !. No pressure then. I had completely forgotten this and totally ignored this instruction. (I choose now to confess this.)

Michelyn behaving like the imperious Red Queen (still from Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland)

Anyway, this is not important because when it got to New York, Michelyn rejected it. She felt it needed an olfactory thread to tie it to its Sister White Queen.

“More frankincense”, she said.

So I swapped round one of the woods I’d used for Cedramber, because if you use this in quantity it boosts the spiciness, and added a small beakerful of Carterii frankincense too. When I make a fragrance for someone else, I do aim to make what they ask for, but it seems that I had accepted the rose instruction then unintentionally or unconsciously failed to acknowledge that the point of this whole creative project was to take Nahema as an inspiration. Oops.

4160Tuesdays Rose Queen x CaFleureBon is a rose with a vintage perfume feeling, an earthy base, a heart of jam tarts, and a touch of the illogical as homage to Lewis Carroll’s stroppy, contradictory Red Queen. She’s nothing like me at all. Or is she?”

Notes include: Rose, incense, carrot seed, geranium, woods, pepper, blackcurrant, labdanum, raspberry, patchouli, musk

4160 Tuesdays Red Queen x CaFleureBon is a rose perfume with spice and jammy tarts. It is vintage in feel, not unsurprisingly since vintage nahema inspired it. This reminds me nahema was the first guerlain i got in extrait though my extrait is newer formulation. I think I became familiar with Cafleurebon in 2010 or 2011. Congrats to the team for the daily articles, I know it is not easy to meet tight deadlines. I am in US.

  • I don't know the smell of Nahema, but the rose with incenses is enough for me to add this to my wish list, with no doubts if additionally it was created by Sarah. It have to be a Great Scent. Now the message to the crew ;-): Thank you for your great passion to the perfumes and for comparing olfactory creations to the other art masterpieces like paintings, photos and music compositions. It’s so stimulating the imagination, how the scent will smell like, chapeau bas! I’m a reader for about two years and I also won 2 prizes since I’ve started, thank you so much for the best international blog about perfumes. I live in Poland.

  • Nahema is my favourite rose perfume along with Mohur, so obviously I've got to try this! It's so much fun reading about how the perfume came into being, going through all these mods… Kudos to both Sarah and Michelyn!

I have been a ÇaFleureBon reader for a little more than two years, and I've enjoyed all the reviews, interviews and perfume lessons. The whole team of writers and editors have my utmost respect and admiration! Thank you all!

    I live in EU.

I have heard of Sarah McCartney's work, but haven't had the pleasure of sampling her creations yet. Rose is one of my favorite floral notes and its combination with spicy ingredients, patchouli, and musk sounds both comforting and imaginative. I've been a ÇaFleureBon reader for one year and truly appreciate the articles on new releases, perfumers, and inspirations. Congratulations to the team for their original work with interesting literary angles. I live in the US.

  • I'm a Cafleurebon reader since 4-5 years. And I very enjoye to read here every single article. I have never had a chance to try anything from 4160Tuesdays yet. Red Queen  x CafleureBon sounds very interesting from the review. Thank you for the draw. I live in the EU.

  • This sounds gorgeous, and not just because I'm a rosaholic and vinatge Nahema fan. Congratulations Michelyn and Sarah on the collaboration! I can't wait to get my nose on it. I feel incredibly honored to be part of the CaFleureBon team, and as a "newbie" I congratulate Michelyn and all the amazing writers that put so much of themselves into their reviews. Here's to another 9 years! -Marianne

  • Wow!! I don’t know how I missed Red Queen!! What appeals to me? ROSE!! Any mention of JAM!! And 4160Tuesdays! I love Sarah’s perfume because it’s fun, quirky yet often also classic, and reflects her personality. Plus, she’s my friend! 🙂 I have been reading articles at CaFleureBon for around 4 years now I guess. I admire your writers’ neverending energy to keep up with all the latest and how you share it all over the fragrance community! I wouldn’t even know about Red Queen if I had not seen this article shared in Eau My Soul! So, thank you!! And I thought I knew everything 4160Tuesdays lol! I’m in the USA! Thanks so much for another generous giveaway!

  • WoW!!! Red Queen X CaFleurebon sounds like the most gorgeous rose magic ever made! Rose is my favorite note, and spicy incense is a close second for me so the two together with an earthy element sounds absolutely divine. The description makes me think of deep, introspective, elegant, and adventurous at the same time. I am such a fan of Sarah's work and Cafleurbon's ever flowing inspiration for new scent discoveries, so this collaboration is sky high on my wish list. Thank you so very much for the opportunity to win one of these beauties. I live in the US.

  • 4160 Tuesdays Red Queen seems like a great combo betwin the rose and patchouli and i will love to have it in my collection.

I am a new CaFleurebon reader , and i love it. Keep up the great work. I live in Eu.(Ireland).

  • I have been a Cafleurebon reader for almost 3 years and i enjoyed it a lot. This was the best finding for me in terms of fragrance blogs and reviews, amazing platform. Another great thing about Cafleurebon is that i enjoyed every single review, article that i’ve read, so i appreciate and respect a lot all the contributors team work on writings and editing and everything that makes this place so nice and cozy for all of us, fragrance lovers around the world. I would also mention that i like Sebastian’s work on his youtube chanel a lot, full of perfume infos/knowledge, and love your new contributor member articles, the brilliant, fizzy and funny Dana. From the 4160 Tuesdays house, sadly but i’ve never had the chance to try anything. The notes for Red Queen are right on my alley and i would love to try it. Thanks for the chance, i am in the EU.

  • I'm interested in this fragrance because it was personally created. I'm a big fan of CaFleureBon and have been following for a few years. I truly appreciate all of the in depth information about every perfume and especially the perfumers. Thank you for your generous giveaway. USA

  • This sounds amazing! I've been reading Cafleurebon for over two years, and I enjoy all the talented writers and their points of view as well as the information they share. I love rose fragrances, and Red Queen sounds amazing, especially coming on the heels of White Queen, which I love. I live in the US; thanks for doing this draw! And happy anniversary!

  • I have been a reader for about 2 years, and have been fortunate to win a DSH rollerball and am Essential Perfumes travel spray in that time, which has been delightful.  I love rose, and "more frankincense" is the best quote of this piece!  I so appreciate all of the different writing styles of the various contributors and editors here – and Michelyn's art direction is always spot on and beautiful.  I am in the USA, thank you to cafleurebon and Sarah McCartney for a wonderful giveway!

  •  I love the Alice In Wonderland concept!  Such a great fragrance picture. Rose fragrances are new to me but I have loved learning all the different nuances of them. I think the addition of pepper in Red Queen will add a little kick that I haven't smelled yet. I've been reading CaFleurBon for about  3 months and now I look forward to reading it daily.  Thanks to all the writers. I have learned so much over these few months. I can feel each contributors personality through their reviews. It's like getting a letter in the mail from a friend everyday!  🙂 Thanks so much for the special giveaway!  In the USA.

  • More frankincense ! Best line. I own Become the Shaman by Dsh Perfumes and Frieda which is by En Voyage which were Cafleurebon perfumes. I have great respect for all the writers and for Michelyn. I am a reader for at least 7 years and it was nice to see Tama remembered. I live in the US. Congratulations

  • What a great journey for this fragrance.  I enjoy a fragrance with a collaboration.  I am currently enjoying Sarah's collaboration with Beauty Meow (Tyger Tyger).  Sarah seems to capture what is sought after.  I wish I could smell the Nahema, a local shop has it listed on their website, but when I went there it was not in stock (updating their websits would have lessened my disappointment).  The notes in this creation look like a rose lover's dream.  Maybe there will be more Alice in Wonderland characters chaptured in scent in the future!!  Thanks for the chance.  USA.

Greetings for all the hard working teem here, i really enjoy to read your articles

  • crisstyyn1 says:

Hello! I have never tried Tuesdays Red Queen, but after what i have read about it i would be more than happy to try it. I am a Cafleurbon reader for not a very long time, i have only discovered it about 6 months ago and i really appreciate what the team is doing for helping us discover so many new fragrances worldwide. Reading you from Romania EU. Congrats! ❤️

  • Omg I loved White Queen and I am so excited about Red Queen!!!!! What comes next 10th birthday? Golden queen? Of course I adore Sarah's work and since I don't have a rose scent from here I'd loove to win this exclusive edition. I've been a member of your family for a year now and I enjoy to read such poetic and beautifully written articles a lot. I am in Germany  Thanks!

  • I until recently had this opinion that rose was on the “older” side of the olfactive palette. Even with Nahema, what I experienced was the feeling of a bubbly, talkative, positive, pink loving, curly haired auntie. It was very pleasant as an experience, but it didn’t have that element of mystery I would have loved to find there. Since then, I did find some roses I loved. I loved Fille du Berlin, Stella McCartney and Rose essentielle by Bvlgari, which all had a distinctive element. What i learned to appreciate most about rose in perfumery is how versatile and classic it is. Still, I would not say no to a rose with character, which I believe Red queen is. I have been on Çafleurebon only for a few weeks now, since collaborator dana sandu spread the word about the blog in her own web community. I have been delighted to check the page since and finding so much information and news about niche and obscure perfumery, which I unfortunately don’t have much access to otherwise. I love Çafleurebon’s approach, in comparison to “bigger websites’”, since I noticed that those focus more on mainstream perfumery, which is also way more accessible to us as customers. I also like the editors’ very personal and varied styles of describing their experienced, in a practical as well as artistic / sensorial way. Of course, the giveaways are amazing too! There’s really a much bigger chance to sample something that many of us wouldn’t be able to, otherwise. From EU.

Congratulations to all, and lots of love to our dear Editor-in-chief Michelyn, who's the soul of, and the guiding force behind, ÇaFleureBon.

This collaboration with the super-talented Sarah sounds heavenly, and I'm looking forward to trying the scent.

    Love from France,

  • Happy birthday, CaFleureBon !

I wish you much editions, and much customers.

    You are the best.

Il hear about your site, and i want to teste

    the Red Queen.

    From Romania, with congratulations.

  • Nice job! I love jammy rose fragrances. I think I've been reading for a couple of years now. I'm in USA. Glad the staff must love what they do. We all share a common passion.

  • Before I even go into how much this perfume intrigues me may I first say

Happy Anniversary, CaFleureBon! My first and only place to read beautiful writing on Perfumes, their Creators, introductions to New Perfumers, American Perfumers, back stories, and oh yes mind-blowing art.

Although I love the smell of Rose in all it's raw forms, it doesn't always play nice on my skin. This one sounds like it will play out beautifully, with the base notes.

I have been reading CaFleureBon from the beginning, and I appreciate the knowledge I have gained by the extraordinary writing over the years.

  • Really gettin into rose perfume so this appeals to me with it's spicy rose notes and the wife and I can share it depending on how she likes it.  I also love the addition of frankinsense to the mix.  I have been a reader for since about January and look forward to many more reads.  I live in the USA.  Congratulations to the team for 9 years and I look forward to reading more.  So far the articles I have read have been stellar and introduced me to knew scent profiles and houses.  Thank you all!

  • What appeals to me about 4160Tuesdays Red Queen is the rose, I love a spicy rose fragrance when done right. I think this one will be a winner. I have been a Cafleurebon reader for only a few months but am enjoying everything here. That being said I want to give a huge THANK YOU and APPRECIATION to the 14 hard working writers and editors on the team. ONE LOVE! I live in CA, USA.

  • This appeals to me because of the earthy part mentioned as well as rose, I've been a cafleurebon reader for almost a year now. I have never come across a beauty/ fragrance blog the allow me to envision and make mental picture of what I'm reading like the wonderful writers/editors here do. I can Almost smell the fragrance just from reading the review lol you all do a great job, big thank you to the writers and editors for the hard work dedication and passion put into your work! I live in the United States North Carolina.

    Warm regards, Krystal

  • I love rose scent and flavour, and love White Queen of which I have a 9ml bottle. I am about to run out of WQ though, so it would be serendipitous to win Red! I read CaFleurBon erratically here from the UK, usually when somehing is brought to my attention by someone else. Happy 9th birthday team, may you have many more x

  • Rubyshoes123 says:

I love 4160's so would love the oppurtunity to add this to my collection . I've just discovered this site today so looking forward to catching up, many thanks 🙂

  • Elinor vasiliou says:

My bottle of white queen needs to meet her match!

I've done a major U-turn on cedramber over the last year or so, and I put it down to Sarah's scents – now a note I really savour. So I'd love to smell this working alongside the rose.

Been a reader for a year or two. In the UK. Happy birthday!

  • Red Queen!  I loved White Queen! Sarahs scents are so unique.  I love roses and Red queen sounds amazing.  I have been a reader for about 1 year and I have learned so much about new fragrances.  Love all the entertaining photos!  Happy Birthday!  USA

  • I have been a reader for almost a year now.

4160 Tuesdays Rose Queen x CaFleureBon is a rose scent which I love. I also love that it has frankincense mixed in it.

Happy anniversary and THANK YOU to the 14 hard working writers and editors on this team.

    I live in USA.

  • I have been a CafleuerBon reader for almost 3 years and you guys do a wonderful job bringing fragance houses and fragrances to the attention of the frag community, we see you passion for fragrances in every review and post! Thank you and Happy Birthday!

I have loved every review I have read on Cafleurbon.  I'm so glad I found you.  THANK YOU ALL. 'm not particularly a rose person,a lthough that is changing lately.  4160 Tuesdays Red Queen X CaFleurBon sounds interesting and something I would want to try.  Anything with frankincense interests me.  Thanks for a great review and a generous draw.  I'm in the USA

  • Dubaiscents says:

Congratulations on your 9th anniversary! I’ve been reading since 2013 and I hardly ever miss a post even if I’m sometimes behind. Red Queen sounds amazing because of the frankincense (one of my favorite notes!) mixed with rose – a true Arabian dream combo. Plus, Sarah always creates something unique!  I’m in the US.

  • andalabanda says:

I am a relatively new reader (I started reading you daily few months ago) and I love the fact that your reviews are unique, a mix of crosscultural references, photography and unique, personal perspectives. I must say I love Ida's reviews. Red Queen sounds like a perfume that will fit perfectly in my collection- I am all about rose, patchouli and incense. I am curious to see how the tru original Sarah revamped this classic combo. If I will not win the fragrance, I know where I can find Guy and Perfumology and I will get it anyway (I live in Philly, U.S. so I know my way to his King of Prussia store :)).

  • I enjoyed hearing Sarah's rendition of accepting Michelyn's challenge to make a perfume somewhat inspired by Nahema. I laughed at the comparison to the imperious Red Queen, but hey, the lady knows what she wants! I'm sure this would be lush and rich, just looking at the notes. I'd love to give it a try. I have been a Cafleurebon reader since…I think….2011 or so? I know you had been around a little over a year when I found you and I've been hooked ever since. As perfumers keep cranking out more and more perfumes, you somehow seem to review a large portion of these. Amazing! Please don't go anywhere, Cafleurebon!

  • doveskylark says:

It was very interesting to read about the creation of Red Queen, especailly the collaboration between Michelyn and Sarah. That's what I appreciate most about Cafleurebon's writers. They always explore the creativity behind the fragrances, the insparion and the history. I have been a reader for about 5 years. I always particpate in the contests and I have learned so much. I appreciate the writers and editors very much.

    I live in the USA.

Sarah has done rose justice so many times and in so many ways I have no doubt this one will pay a perfect amouage to Cafleurebon's 9th anniversary.

I always enjoy reading the jouneys each contributor takes  me on with every review for the past 4 years. Cafleurebon was one of the first sites I stumbled upon in my searches for valid information after I entered back into the world of fragrances.

Congratulations to the team of Cafleurebon for 9 years of creative and beautiful insight in fragrance discoveries.

  • Congratulations on your anniversary Cafleurebon! Have been reading your marvelous reviews andposts for quite awhile now, such a talented group of Fragrance lovers!

Red Queen sounds simply amazing, I have a decant of White Queen and love it.

    Here’s my favorite part.

4160 Tuesdays Rose Queen x CaFleureBon is a rose with a vintage perfume feeling, an earthy base, a heart of jam tarts, and a touch of the illogical as homage to Lewis Carroll's stroppy, contradictory Red Queen. She's nothing like me at all. Or is she?"

  • Congrats to Cafleurebon and all of your writers and editors. I've been a reader from the beginning. Thanks for years of great reviews and fragrance information.

  • Congrats to all the folks who love perfume and scents and contribute to daily articles and sniff and remember more perfumes then I will ever be able to sniff  I stayed reading a few years ago and love having a community to share with!!  I love the sound of this scent, and was really tickled by the image of the imperious red queen Michelyn! Then you again for all the wonderful reads and scents! Thank you for this, and all the other  generous draws!

  • "More frankincense " she said 🙂

Michelyn Carmen sure knows what she wants Haha. I know Rose Queen predecessor White Queen. I had a chance to smell it when I was at Perfumology last year buying something else. I'm curious how the perfumer twisted it , added rose and some other goodies,  and made Rose Queen. I'm a reader since late 2016 , but subscribed a week ago finally. Happy birthday guys,  stay away from drama, and always be honest about what you think about  certain fragrances. East coast USA

I adore the Sarah McCartney and Michelyn's colaborations ! The Red Queen from Tim Burton's movie is a great inspiration.
I have a passion for rose perfumes, especially when combined with frankincense.

What appeals to me the most about Red Queen is how bossy Ms. Camen is , and at the same time i do like perfectionists . I don't like when people do too much compromises both in work and personal affairs.

About Cafleurebon – i do like the fact there are different contributors , with different opinions ,ages  and tastes – brings much needed diversity.I'm not on the same perfume page with some , but that's normal – we're not clones. Subscribed because of Sebastian mid 2015 , still here , and will be here for a long time … if you keep the bar high.

    Happy 9-th anniversary.

  • First of all, Happy Birthday CaFleureBon!! I’ve been a reader since 2015, but it took me a while to stop lurking and start commenting 😉 I’ve enjoyed poring over reviews and entering draws and also getting to know some great reviewers and some awesome fragrances. Thanks for all the work you do to keep us all smelling wonderful!

I’m very intrigued by the idea of Red Queen because I confess that I’m not typically a rose enthusiast either. But I’ve always wanted to try vintage Nahema, so to try ‘Nahema-but-better’ sounds just perfect! I also enjoyed hearing a little about the behind-the-scenes process of fragrance directing and creating. How exciting it must be to be able to see/smell one’s vision take shape! And how good it must feel to create something that satisfies and even exceeds expectations. I’m in the US and would love to give Red Queen a try. Many thanks and happy anniversary!

  • Sarah McCartney's description of Michelyn during creation of Red Queen made my day – hilarious. Love the notes – should be a grean fragrance for the spring. Not familiar with Nahema , but i do expect high quality fragrance. From the 4160 brand i do own 30ml bottles of Eau My Soul and Silk, Lace & Chocolate.

I'm regular on Cafleurebon sice 2016. You turn 9? WOW

  • I'm not usually a rose fan but this one sounds sumptuous withthr frankincense. I've only been reading for about a year, but I feel I have learned so much about the perfumers and how a fragrance is created. I enjoy the perspective from all the different contributors immensely.

    I live in the USA.

    Happy anniversary!

  • You got me with “more frankincense” and the rose with vintage feeling + the heart of jam tarts . I adore jam tarts with double espresso Mmmmmm delicious. Cafleurebin reader since 2017 . Happy birthday to our beloved blog, and thank you for the opportunity. Just don’t change it- all I want.USA most of the year, and Germany from time to time

  • Great review and article about Red Queen! I love that this was created by Michelyn with Sarah. Nahema is one of my all time favorites and I can't wait to try this one. Rose jam, spice, and frakincense make for a perfect union. I have been reading this blog since 2011 and it's the best blog about perfume on the planet. The writing and impeccable detail are above reproach. Thanks for the giveaway and I live in the US!

    Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! 🙂

    Happy 9th Anniveristy!!!

I've been an registered reader for a least 3 years, but I have perused the site for about 4-5 years. What really sold me on the site was content like Notes from the Lab A-Z  by Sherri Sebastion.  I really appreciated all the contributors that put in the effort to bring an educational aspect of CaFleureBon. I really like to know the what and where of the ingredients in what I'm wearung. Also, its amazing that the noses behind the scents are praised for the talents. And through the interviews we can peek into the minds of the perfumers, like this write-up of 4160 Tuesdays Red Queen.

So I think it is really cool read the developement of 4160 Tuesdays Red Queen. It gave me a chuckle that she forgot aim of this fragrance  I've become a rose lover due the influence of a contributor, Sebastion Jara.  While I love rose/oud combos I find it refreshing that Red Queen is not one.  Here in the USA

  • I love 4160 Tuesdays my favorite from them is killer rose! Red queen sounds amazing not only the notes but Alice in wonderland is one of my favorite books so anything that references it is awesome in my book. I have been a cafleurebon reader for about a year now and I love all the great reviews and giveaways! I have discovered many amazing brands thanks to your hard work and I have been lucky enough to win a giveaway as well! Thank you for all your hard work! I am in Arizona in the USA

  • It simply sounds great, and i love to be able to be that well informed about the creative process and endeavors which were taken in order to produce this scent. I am a reader here since about one month, and my message to the staff is sinply: your work is amazing, eapecially for a newcomer to the fragrance world like me – you are opening up the incredible rich world of perfumes for me like no other site does. Thank you very much! 🙂

4160Tuesdays Red Queen appeals to me in so many ways. It is so cool how Sarah McCartney and Michelyn came together not only to create White Queen but Red Queen as well. The fact that these fragrances are based on Alice in Wonderland. It makes sense that this would be a jammy rose fragrance with incense and some unique touches of carrot seed and blackcurrant. It sounds really unique and alluring. I have been a loyal CafleureBon reader for a year and a half or so. I love learning about Niche and Indie houses and their fragrances. I really appreciate all the high quality and informative content all 14+ writers and editors produce. Thank you for everything you guys do. I am from Ohio, USA.
