One of my favorite summer scents was Parfums de Nicolai Cap Neroli which captured the spirit of the Cote d ’Azure. For the new Parfums Neroli Intense, Patricia de Nicolai continues her exploration of the many facets of neroli, and headed to Nabuel in Tunisia, the land of the Orange trees during harvest season. Parfums de Nicolai Neroli Intense is a very different fragrance than Cap Neroli. Here it is a study of contrasts: using *neroli essence and the absolue, Mme de Nicolai uncovers different olfactory properties of neroli…its green floral aspect with its bitterness and the richer sweeter and slightly animalic nuances of the orange flower. Petit-grain bigarade and Pittosporum flower with its sweet scented flowers underscore the white floral facet of the fragrance. Slightly fruity and aqueous fresh notes along with Beeswax absolute, a hint of patchouli and white musk brings added tenacity and strength to the composition.
