As a fan of her solid perfumes I was pleased to learn of the new Aftelier solid perfume case, hand made from an ounce of sterling silver. Mandy designed this sterling silver case to replace the old rectangular ones that had sold-out. The new design is an elegant square with rounded corners, shallower and larger than its predecessor. Patricia Curtan, illustrator and printmaker whose images have graced most of the Chez Panisse cookbooks, created the stylized "wood-cut" rose and leaf. This sleek case is the perfect size  and shape for the palm of your hand. The sterling case ages in a beautiful wabi-sabi way, as it becomes part of your life and scented history — evolving a tactile polish from being lovingly handled, to be passed on from one generation to the next.   .
