Artisan perfumer Charna Ethier of Providence Perfume Co. gave me a heads up that Provanilla was ready to launch a few weeks ago. In natural perfumery vanilla is very difficult to work with as it tends to be smothered by anything it is blended with. She also wanted to be a bit cheeky with the image, which is stylistically a combination of the1960s-1970s pop art of Roy Lichtenstein and Contemporary graphic novels. The name? Providence + Vanilla
“A lavish celebration of true vanilla, composed with five different varieties of vanilla from Madagascar to Mexico. Rose, balsams, myrrh and coconut pulp balance a clean aquatic accord that adds freshness and light to this unique vanilla based perfume. Vive la vanille!”
