Penhaligon's London newest launch is Halfeti, the fifth in the Trade Routes collection  (AsSawira is a limited edition). Halfeti is composed by Perfumer Christian Provenzano and is inspired by the lavish goods traded with Turkey:exotic florals, spices, suppleleathers and precious fabrics.

Halfeti Roses

The fragrance is named after the enchanting black roses that grow on the banks of the Euphrates river in the small Turkish village of Halfeti. Dark and mysterious, the roses are exceedingly rare as a result of the unique environmental conditions in which they are grown.

Top: Grapefruit, Bergamot, Green Notes, Armoise (wormwood, used in absinthe)

Heart: Cardamom, Cumin, Nutmeg, Saffron, Cinnamon, Rose, Violet, Jasmine, Cypress, Muguet, Lavender

Base: Leather, Oud, Amber, Resins, Cedarwood,

Patchouli heart, Tonka, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Musk

The  flacon is more sumptuous and detailed than Lothair, Empressa and Levantium which were released last year, housed in a rosewood effect box and an eau de nil bow.

Launching June 2015 100ml/ £150
