Atelier Cologne launches the 6th Cologne Absolue in the Cologne Collection Métal, Oud Saphir- collaboration between  Creative Directors Sylvie Ganter, Christophe Cervasel and Perfumer Jerome Epinette. I am not one who is usually impressed with fragrance marketing, but I always love the story behind each Atelier Cologne and of course the beautifully photographed tableaus…Oud Saphir tells the scented  story of an independent woman in control of her own destiny.

Top notes: bergamot from Calabria, ambrette from India, pink pepper from China

Heart notes: violet leaves from Grasse, jasmin from Egypt, suede leather

Base notes: dark oud accord, birch wood from China, vanilla from Madagascar

    I often have a problem with oud scents but since I like all Atelier fragrances that I have tried, this might work. My favorite right now is Mistral Patchouli followed by Vanille Insensee, USA

    My favourite is Vanille Insensee. I really like the Atelier house style and am curious about how they would handle an oud accord. Really love the fact that their scents are available in small bottles.

    My fav Atelier has to be Grand Neroli, with Silver Iris very close behind! As you can notice, I love florals haha. And in my opinion, Grand Neroli is the BEST neroli scent on the market.

    Gold Leather for me, total masterpiece of a scent! I’m really looking forward to smelling Oud Sapphir. Oud is not really my thing, but Atelier always brings out high quality fragrances. Canadian reader

    My favorite is Orange Sanguine! Its absolutely perfect for the warm weather and I’m already on my 2nd bottle! Atelier really makes wonderful scents.

    Whoa, every listed note is a favorite! This sounds awesome. My favorite Atelier Cologne is Vanille Insensee–I love their vibrant translucency and would love to smell what they do with birch and oud!

    Atelier is my hands-down favorite line. I have several. My favorites are the Rose Anonyme followed by the Vanille Insensee. I often mix them together as well. The line is clean and does not smell like chemicals.
