Jovoy Paris Remember Me Review (Cecile Zarokian) 2018 + Karak in Qatar Draw

Francois Henin of Jovoy and perfumer Cecile Zarokian

Two of my favorite people in perfume land are the talented Cecile Zarokian, (who is celebrating her 7th year as an independent perfumer and was the first “under 40” classically trained olfactive artist featured in our Young Perfumer Series in 2014) and Francois Henin aka “The Ambassador of Rare Perfumes” for Jovoy Paris. When these two join forces, the result is pure magic and there is always a fascinating back story. I reached out to Mme. Zarokian who wrote back immediately on the genesis of Jovoy Paris Remember Me, which I smelled and loved (neo-gourmand with its cardamom and lactonic notes) at Esxence 2018.

“For Jovoy Paris Remember Me, I was inspired by a trip with Francois Henin in Qatar, when we went to Doha for the opening of the Jovoy boutique. Our journey was very rich in an olfactive way; I discovered a local drink, ‘Karak’, which is kind of a chai latte, a milk tea very sweet, with lots of spices like cardamom and ginger. We also went to the souk, full of different fascinating scents, where many spices meet woody and leathery smells…Then we kept exploring the city and during one of our walks I had the pleasure to smell again a frangipani blossom, which has an exquisite and divine scent, so spellbinding and so complex that it makes it a fragrance itself. This characteristic smell allows us to travel instantly, thanks to its solar and spicy notes. At the conclusion of this trip, I was filled with emotions.  It was very interesting to learn a lot on the Qatari culture, the people there were so generous and extremely welcoming; I shared a unique and unforgettable experience, full of conviviality. These “memories” all translated in Jovoy Paris Remember Me”- Cecile Zarokian for CaFleureBon, August 2018

  • I would love to try a jovoy fragrance. Cardamon tea and Milk sound luscious! Remember me is a great name for a fragrance. Thank you for the great review Sebastian. I live in the US.

  • fazalcheema says:

I remember the previous mention of Remember Me when Cecile mentioned this trip to Qatar and experiencing Karak tea. It is neo-gourmand and Sebastian finds it to be quite gooey gourmandy creation. thanks for draw. I am in US. The name also reminds me of classic french perfume names. I believe Caron has used names like this.

  • Really liked Sebastian’s take and how he describes the fragrance… I can almost smell it! I’ve never experienced Jovoy fragrances but I’m extremely interested in Remember Me because I LOVE the cardamom note and I also really enjoy drinking tea. This one sounds thick and lovely. Arkansas, USA

  • tuiu silver says:

The Review and introduction made my mouth watery….
I just love creamy and milky scents, and the mix with cardamom, bringing that spiciness, elevating the bright and “Woody” side of the composition, sounds simply delightful.
I like how Sebastian describe the texture and almost the “taste” of the fragrance.
I’m a huge gourmand fan, and I’m really interested to try this intriguing mixture of milky, creamy, spicy and tea fragrance.
Everything sounded just delicious and seductive.
I’m from US, and I’d like to join the draw please

  • I like that both Cecile and Sebastian mentioned delicious drinks that linked them of the notes in this tea frag. I’m a tea drinker and love milk teas especially, so I would love to try this sent. I’ve never been able to smell the house of Jovoy in person, even though Sebastian raves about on his channel so much. He made a great point that the line, which he clearly admires, was in need of a special gourmand like Remember Me. It’s also pretty neat that all of Cecile’s works for the brand will have an English label. I’m entering this giveaway from California, USA!

  • Amy Leonhardt says:

Love to hear her describe the area and tasting the Karak— and I knew I wanted to try it when Sebastian said it was like a cardamom chai latte. Lactonic notes and spices are delicious in fragrance, and I have to try this! Actually, all of the Jovoy line are on my to-try list. I’m in CA, USA.

  • DingoGoddess says:

I love that both Cecile and Sebastian mentioned delicious drinks that
are reminiscent in this fragrance especially the Cardiman note. I have never tried Jovoy fragrances but I am especially interested in any that have lemon notes. I am from and live in the United States and would enjoy being a participant in this drawing.

  • john lowery says:

Sebastian’s review of Remember Me had my mouth watering. I love Ms. Zarokian’s Epic woman for Amouage. The only Jovoy fragrance I have is a decant of the heavenly La Liturgie des Heures. I live in the U.S.

  • Jovoy is great. I wish to smell this to see how the tea note interacts with the gourmand notes.

  • Robert Bernard says:

Sebastian and Cecil could not have desrcribed it any better a true gourmand can’t wait to get to Panera bread and order me a chai tea

  • This fragrance sounds wonderfully from the base of Sebastian’s review. I very like the notes also. I’m not familiar with this brand. I would very like to try this perfume. Thank you for the draw. I live in Europe.

  • Would love to try and own some Jovoy fragrances. They seem great as this one does. Sebastian’s reviews are always a joy. I’ve heard of Cecile before and heard great things of her. Thanks for the giveaway
    California

  • Always enjoy your reviews Sebastian! This seems would be delightful, with all the notes I like.

  • Suzannesharief says:

Sounds right up my ally…currently sipping on my Tazo Chai with milk, and I ritually spray my office with Jo Malone Mimosa and cardamom while I drink my afternoon tea! I’m Sudanese and we (hands down) make the best shai be Laban (tea with milk). Would LOVE to smell this.

  • NiceVULady says:

Sebastian’s review mademe almost want to drink this perfume, it sounded so delicious.I do not own any Jovoy fragrances. Would love to try this. Thanks for the draw. I’m in the USA

  • That sounds delicious … I really enjoy Sebastian review ands in a way got me back to times at my grandma tea time (and yes back them milk used to be deliciously dangerous) so would be fantastic to get this juice. BTW I was introduced by Sebastian’s channel and Cafleurebon to Incident Diplomatique … Andre can’t wait for the colder season to rock it.

  • James Weaver says:

A gourmand Chai fragrance very intriguing, the notes look very nice to lemon, a tea note cardamom, among other great notes. The way he describes the unique gourmand fragrance is fascinating, he makes sound edible. My favorite fragrance from Jovoy Paris is Les Jeux Sont Faits. My favorite Cecile Zarokian’s fragrance is Cio Cio San by Parfums MDCI. Virginia USA

  • Suzannesharief says:

I’m in the US. And both the reviews were great. I’ve never tried anything from this house and would love to win this one.

  • Thank you Sebastian for this interesting review and Michelyn for this great draw.
    Sounds very interesting- WOW…tea-gourmand perfume.
    I want to test it.
    US

  • Another great review by Sebastian. I love milky type perfumes in general and this one with the tea milky note sounds really good. I would love to get a sniff 🙂 Thanks for the chance, Oakland US.

  • Scented Hound says:

Cecile Zarokian has created a very special fragrance as an interpretation of her experience in Qatari? I would love to enjoy the memory of her experience by wearing this fragrance, Sebastian honestly made my mouth water, as I longed for his gourmand description of Cardamom tea with lots of milk. Love those Chai Lattes also. Thank you to the distributor Amerikas for this draw. I wave from California!

  • I like Cecile Zarokian’s created perfumes. Some of thams are strong with power. And now it is interesting to test her sweety, fresh- tea perfume.
    Thank you Sebastian!

Sebastians review perfect as usual Id love to try Cecile Zarokian creation her memory of experience in Qatar.
    Miami Florida Thanks

  • ElizabethC says:

I love Sebastians comment about a creamy cardamom. Cardamom is my favorite spice and a cardamom tea scent just sounds amazing! I haven’t tried this brand before, it would be fun to see how this one smells :). I am in the US. Thank you!

  • Christina Hernandez says:

Wow Ceciles intro transported me to Qatar. Cardomon tea sound delish and Sabastion mentiond it has a prominent milky note so im very interested in this fragrance, i dont have any thing in my collection with a dominat milky note.

  • Sentanel Ulysse says:

I enjoy watching Sebastian ‘s reviews and as always , this is a great one.
I’ve never tried from this house yet and I’d like to start with this one.

    I’m in Georgia USA.

  • Nadine Cunningham says:

Sebastian’s review of this fragrance sounds really interesting & makes it a must try for me. I’ve never tried anything from the house of Jovoy but I would be most happy to win this one & give it a try.

Thanks to Sebastian & Cafleurbon for another great giveway.

  • ooh, I love chai, and cardamom, and Le Feu d”Issey has a milky note that I love ( I don’t get sour milk from Feu d”Issey)…does Sebastian like cardamom in his espresso? I love milky chai tea, with lots of cardamom, just love cardamom in many things……..and I like woody notes as well….so would love to try it. have not tried anything else from this house, but I will definitely have to try a sample if I don’t win! in the US, thank you!!!

  • I always like hearing how a perfumer develops a perfume, the story behind it. this one makes me want to travel! thx again!

  • I have no experience as of yet with Jovoy, but this sounds fantastic. Zarokian‘s description of the scent and his inspiration was a great read. Provides a good perspective of the origins of the fragrance. Sebastian has outdone himself with this review. Had my mouth watering. CA, USA.

  • I love jovoy truo last year i visited the store in paris and smell the hall colletion and few on them now am intriged about remember me

  • I’m always excited to sniff something when Sebastian busts out with multiple “delicious” adjectives! The fragrance itself sounds like it would be generous and welcoming, just like Ms. Zarokian’s description of her experience in Qatar. I’m in the USA. I haven’t sniffed anything from Jovoy yet, but I’m heading over to ZGO’s website to check out some samples right now.

  • FRANCES A DANNA says:

Late this afternoon I sat down to savor my white chai tea with tons of creamy almond milk. I was ready to watch Sebastian Jara’s review of Jovoy’s newest fragrance, Remember Me. What a great surprise when I learned that this scent is a cardamom and milk gourmand. My tea tasted so much sweeter today. Sebastian is so passionate about perfumery and I always look forward to his videos. I have purchased one bottle of Jovoy’s Incident Diplomatique, but have not worn or tried it yet. It was a blind buy because the notes sound that good. I would definitely love to win this bottle of Remember Me. I love cardamom and chai tea notes…the scent is like an exotic dessert for my brain cells. I live in Port Orange, Florida, USA. Thank you for this opportunity.

  • I think it’s really cool that Zarokian named the fragrance “Remember Me”, as if she bottled up her trip to Qatar in a fragrance and shared that experience with the world. I also really like that Sebastian said he liked the fragrance more once he was able to wear it regularly. Sometimes you smell or test a fragrance and like it initially, but upon wearing it regularly, you realize it just isn’t for you. Liking a fragrance more as you wear it is a sign that it’s really great.

  • Sounds like the Chai Teas I use to get in Malaysia. I’ve passed through Doha on my way to Malaysia and can confirm the cacophony of scents that can greet you there. I am a sucker for a good Cardammon forward fragrance and will definitely need to check this out for the fall. Cheers from CT.

  • I would love to try milk cardamon combo, im really thrilled with Jovoy house and wish to put my nose on some great releases as im subscriber of sebastian channel. Good luck jovoy and I live in USA Florida

  • Milky fragrances are my favorite!! I would just love to get my nose on this. Great review as always!! Live in NJ. Thanks!!!

  • middleagedandmixed says:

I have yet to try any fragrances from the house of Jovoy. With Sebastian’s description of Remember Me being a chai latte scent along with Cecile’s addiction of cardamom & ginger, I’m needing to get my nose on this fragrance. It sounds delectable. Another enticing review.
    Fragrance obsessed from Seattle.

  • Love this brand. Really like private lablel. Can’t wait to try Remember Me. Live in US and hope I win

  • richardfreeman29 says:

What I enjoyed most about each of both Sebastian and Cecile’s analyses of the fragrance was their mention of chai tea lattes. I absolutely love that drink and the smell of the drink itself. I absolutely love the 3 fragrances I have sampled from the Jovoy line (Incident Diplomatique, Private Label, and Les Jeux sont Faits) I am entering this contest from Texas.

  • Sebastian’s review made me want a cardamom chai latte really bad! While watching Sebastian’s review, it reminded me of latte that I ordered in Istanbul that was loaded with spices and this luxurious cream. It’s great to know that I can now get a fragrance to take me back to that memory. I have heard about Jovoy’s fragrances, but have never had the pleasure of trying any of them and I would love to add this one to my collection! Thanks for the draw and I live in the US! 🙂

  • What I enjoyed about Sebastian is he pin points the notes first and gives out the price, then he gives his idea about the product, in this case REMEMBER ME , what I enjoyed about cecile’s is the Karak tea and Souq, which inspired this creation!! Wow I really have to try this!! I have tried any Jovoy yet but I’m really looking forward to trying them out!!
    I’m from California USA

  • Mohammed Balsharaf says:

Just finished watching Sebastian’s vid. It was short and informative. The notes seem interesting. I liked private label from Jovoy it wss a bold fragrance with a character. Hopefully I can win this giveaway to try their newest release.
    Thanks again for the giveaway.

  • I know from Jovoy Paris only Rouge Assassin and I find it to be very high quality where all the ingredients blend very well, but Remember Me, aside from the name which is quite lyrical, sounds promising with the tea and chai notte together plus the cardamom and frangipani. When I think of the notes, it looks like two worlds, something warm, hot and the other one exotic and cooling.

I am from Europe. Thanks for the draw!

  • Julie N DeMelo says:

    Hello,
Jovoy, Remember Me sounds lovely and great for the fall!
I just watched this review…Sebastian Jara of the Smelling Great. His description was compelling for a gourmand scent.
I do not own anything from this fragrance house. I am always drawn to perfumes by the name. It sounds really pretty to wear.
I enjoy drinking tea. As for cardamom, it is a great spice for baked goods and I use it quite often. This perfume sounds like an instant love for me.
Thank you for offering a giveaway. 🙂

  • Loved Bastian’s review! I’ve only tried one other thing from this line, but I loved! I am sure this one is a winner as well.

  • I’ve never tried anything from this house. Chai tea is my drink of choice at a coffee shop. This sounds interesting. I don’t really have anything milky in my collection. Sounds cozy and great for fall. I’m in Ohio.

  • MarkyMark5d says:

Sabasian is a top-notch reviewer his description made me want this instantly. If I don’t win the bottle I think I’ll buy it if I do win I’ll buy a back up bottle anyway lol. Thank you cafleurebon for your generosity. I hope I win one day bc it will only further my love for this site!!

  • I love Karak, it’s great tea based drink. I am a fan of Jovoy perfumes, and I already have 4 bottles in my collection. This scent has very unusual notes and I’m 100% sure that it smells great. I live in EU.

  • Sebastian’s review makes the fragrance sound rich, spicy, and like a dessert drink. I know the smell of tea and cardamom, but I’m curious how the silky milk note smells.
The introduction from Zarokian was cool since I actually make tea with spices and milk often. Plus whenever walking into an Arabic store, the first smell is cardamom with coffee.
I’m in Chicago, USA. I’ve tried something from Jovoy but cant remember which one it was. I did like it though

  • Iliya Tynan says:

I’m highly intrigued by the cardamom blend with tea and milk! I love tea fragrances like those of Bond no. 9!!!

  • KC Loves Frags says:

This sounds like a delicious fragrance! I drink chai latte’s all the time so this would definitely be a fragrance I would love! I always enjoy your reviews, Sebastian. Every time I watch one of your reviews a new fragrance is then added to my wishlist lol!

  • In both Cecilies and Sebastians I love how descriptive they are in the inspiration to and olfactive experience of the scent. Iam a big fan of Sebastians channel, I think he makes excellent reviews and showcase fragrances which may not be so well covered elsewhere. I have only tried a few Jovoy fragrances whilst visiting one if their stores but do not own one. Being in a Jovoy store is like being in perfume wonderland though, such an amazing experience! I live in Sweden.

  • I love Sebastian’s enthusiasm. If he is truly excited about a fragrance he doesn’t hold back – and I trust his taste, so if he loves this one, I’m interested in getting my nose to it! To my knowledge I have never sampled anything from this house (sad emoji). I like the idea from Cecile’s introduction that I can be connected via fragrance to an exotic faraway place that I may never have the chance to experience in any other way. I am in New York City and thanks for the opportunity!

  • Love the story explaining the inspiration and how Sebastian likens it to a spicy cardamom tea with cream. I have never tried Jovoy. This one sounds great. Arizona

  • Sebastian always has a wonderful way of conveying the scent by conjuring different notes and how they smell like (plus his soothing voice is a plus). I absolutely love Cecilie’s other creation from Jovoy “Private Label” since I am a die hard fan of Vetiver. This new scent “Remember Me” is a perfect name given for a cardamom chai gourmand fragrance and coming from Indian heritage indian spiced chai runs in our veins. I would love to try this fragrance out. Thanks again and I live in Connecticut, USA

  • Krystal burchette says:

Sebastian’s description of this fragrance almost makes me need to go make a cup of tea with some heavy cream or at least half and half! It sounds absolutely delicious and right up my gourmand lover alley. I have yet to experience a creamy milky fragrance but am dieing to!

  • I loved how Sebastian went into detail about tea and likewise How Cecile shared her memories of Qatar. Her trip sounds magical. Wandering around a spice bazaar is a bucket list experience for me. Also, I love drinking tea and cardamom is one of my favorite spices! I haven’t yet had the pleasure of trying Jovoy Paris Fragrances but I look forward to it. I live in California.

  • I have been to Qatar several times and am always impressed by how good everyone smells! The local perfume traditions are amazing and I like how the perfume evokes local scents. Sebastian have excellent details. I live on the US

  • Hi! I really enjoyed Cecile‘s elegant introduction. My favorite part of Sebastian’s review was how he described the progression of Remember Me. The cardamom, tea, and milk all sound delicious! I love gourmand fragrances. I don’t own any fragrances by Jovoy, and have never tried anything by the house, but I will definitely be finding a sample of this one! I’m located in Alabama, United States.

  • Milky perfumes fascinate me, and Sebastian description of it in Remember me as the most smooth, concentrated and luscious did nothing to cool my interest! I am very much interested how chai mixed with fangipangi, too, sounds like for Cecile, it was natural. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Jovoy, but am not yet familiar. This partum would be a great place to start!
    Maryland, US

  • I am indeed a fan of Jovoy, owning 2 perfumes from the house – Ambre 1 and Gardez Moi. I am a fan of Cecile’s work, especially with the house of Masque Milano and Jul et Mad. And I think you had me at her name, and “gourmand chai”! Imagining the milky chai tea with cardamom and ginger, leather and spice laden souks, and frangipane along the way paints an olfactive portrait that I’d love to experience.
I love how Sebastian describes cream as decadent, luxurious, and velvety (“not 2%”!!!) Yes, I’m sold. Thanks for the opportunity! I live in the U.S.

  • Absolutely great review! Very impressed with the notes of this fragrance and the way it smells. I lived in Qatar for quite some time so I do understand where the inspiration comes from. Sebastian has painted an incredibly beautiful image for how this fragrance might smell like. I have tried only 2 perfumes from the house of Jovoy. Psychedilique(my favorite so far) Ana incident Diplomatique. I’m truly looking forward to smell and try “remember me”; hoping to win this time 🙂 I live in Boston, USA

  • Sebastian does the best YT video reviews, making me want to run out and purchase the fragrance he’s discussing immediately! I love the notes of this one – tea and spice notes in the middle and warm, vanilla and woody notes in the base. I’d love to get this one to wear in the cooler months. I’ve never smelled anything from this perfume house. Would love this to be my first.

I live in the USA (Pennsylvania)

  • Thank you for this draw !
Sebastian is so good with this-every time i’m watching his videos i feel like i’m holding the bottle of the fragrance his reviewing and spraying it all over myslef haha.Bought over 15 fragrances during the years because of him.I will sample Remember me for sure.
From Jovoy as a brand atm i do own full bottle of the famous Les Jeux sont Faits – one of my favotite night out scents.
I do like Cecile Zarokian as a perfumer. My scent of the day is Curacao Bay-one of her creations.
    I do follow @cafleurebon @lookfeelsmellgreat , @Amerikasnyc @jovoyparis + @cecilezarokianparfumeur on instagram
    Virginia USA and London UK

  • Sebastian has whetted my appetite for this gourmand fragrance. I love chai and anything with cardamom in it. Cecile Zarokian’s description of her visit to Qatar and all of the tastes and smells brought it to life for me. I am dying to try this! In the U.S., thank you for the generous giveaway.

  • m.r.everything says:

First, let me thank your guys for this generous offer! You guys are always giving away the BEST fragrances! Thank you! Remember Me has had me intrigued for quite a while since I saw it being shown on a video from Esxence…. The milky notes are what stand out most to me! I have 21 edp by Costume National and it has a very nice milky tone! It is one of my favorites as it is so different and unique. Sebastian mentioned that it smelled like Chai Tea Latte and that just makes your mouth water! White Queen by 4160 Tuesdays (I know we all know that one) happens to be another favorite of mine and has creamy tones to it as well! The “memories” of Cecile’s intro is attention grabbing and makes me want to find out more about the fragrance…. after watching Sebastian’s review, it makes me want it even more! Also, I have a sample, and its the only other one from the brand that I have smelled, of Private Label (the other one Sebastian was talking about) and I absolutely love that one also! There are a few others from the house I would like to smell as well! Thanks again for this opportunity! I live in Newark, DE! Good luck to all!!!

  • Thanks for this fantastic opportunity.
Again such a nice job by the best Youtube reviewer.
Jovoy Paris is by far the best fragrance boutique i’ve ever been to-no comparison.
I do not own full Jovoy bottles , but i have 2 big 30ml decants of Incident Diplomatique and Incident Diplomatique-a must try for every patchouli lover.
A cardamon/m (depends where you live) chai tea latte … creamy delicious ..heavenly delicious … say no more …
Non-stop back and forth between USA and UK

  • Steven Jones says:

Take 1/5 of this… throw in 1/5 ppsychedelique…. then 3/5 incident diplomatic…. then mic drop. I call it "The draw". When you first smell it one has to stop and figure out what it is and they instantly are drawn into sitting down for chai tea with a dark chocloate truffle served on a fresh cut ceader table still wet and resinous from the craftmanship, perched in the middle of a low laying foothill.

    Or, maybe not 🙂
