Ineke's Scent Library -The Floral Curiousities Collection

Perfumer Ineke Ruhland introduces the "Scent Library”, which contains generous samples of all five fragrances in the Floral Curiosities fragrance collection.

Five flowers with distinct personalities can be discovered in this “faux book”. Each flower’s unique character is expressed through the artistically rendered packaging, which uses fine art and calligraphy in a vintage book design.

The five fragrances in the Floral Curiosities collection are:

Angel’s Trumpet (Brugmansia) Fresh and Opulent- Angel’s Trumpet opens with refreshing notes of honeydew melon, Seville orange and leafy greens. Angel Trumpet’s rich floralcy is then warmed by cinnamon leaf and allspice and supported by Virginia cedar and white musk.

Briar Rose (Rosa Rubiginosa) Fruity and Floral-A pretty rose-violet accord given big character with supporting notes of black raspberry, green apple, warm spices, patchouli, cacao and vanilla.

Poet’s Jasmine (Jasminum officinale) Citrus and Herbal -A fragrance inspired by Poet’s Jasmine tea, replete with slices of citrus fruit. Added points of interest include star anise, rosemary, absinthe, frankincense, cardamom, hinoki wood and guaiac wood.

Scarlet Larkspur (Delphinium cardinale) Floral Oriental-A bright fruity opening of blood orange, red currant and morello cherry deepens over time with notes of claret wine, nutmeg, saffron, amyris wood, tonka bean and vanilla.

Sweet William (Dianthus barbatus) Woody and Sweet -A peach schnaps note introduces the spicy Sweet William floral accord, and is further warmed with cinnamon, clove and cumin essential oils. The dominant wood notes are a blend of cedarwood, sandalwood and patchouli, softened with Bourbon vanilla.

Inside each box are “library cards” describing the fragrances.

I heard a few months ago this was coming out, very nice and good price too. I really like their packaging. Out of the FC line, I like Briar Rose and Angel’s Trumpet the best:). I’d say this would definitely be a good stocking stuffer:). Thanks for posting, was waiting for this one:).

I have fallen in love with Ineke’s Hothouse Flower and Chemical Bonding from the alphabetical sample collection I first purchased; they are definitely on my full-bottle wish list! When I checked out the website initially, they didn’t have a sample set for the Floral Curiosities collection available (only minis of individual scents)–I’m thrilled to see they’ve added the option of sampling the entire collection; I love a good rose and jasmine soliflore and the Angela’s Trumpet and Sweet William scents sound intriguing.

As is her style, it looks like once again Ineke has put forth a set with exquisite packaging. Her sample sets are are almost as classy as she is! I have bought many as gifts and look forward to doing so with this new collection.
