Don’t you love singer/songwriter/producer (and new The Voice Coach) Pharrell Williams’ quirky sense of style? As reported earlier this year he has collaborated with Comme des Garcons on a new fragrance Girl for girls and boys.

Conceived by Pharrell and created by Christian Astuguevieille, Creative director of Comme des Garçons Parfums, and Antoine Lie of Takasago, Girl will feature a lot of the woody notes the Fragrance House is famous for and is housed in a funky colorful bottle designed by House + Holme. The fragrance features top notes of neroli, lavender and white pepper; middle ones of iris, styrax and violet, and base ones of vetiver, patchouli, cedarwood and sandalwood.  The 100-ml. bottle is priced at $135,  and a 10-ml. travel size version will only set you back $30

  • I have never been inspired to buy a celebrity fragrance but this actually may be the exception. The inspiration/collaboration with Comme des Garcons…yes yes yes. The bottle is quirky and loving it. The notes sound great as well. Thanks for the info Michelyn.

Sephora has been hitting some home runs with exclusives lately. Excited that it will be so accessible and not another carmel, burnt marshmallow, vanilla hot mess that seems to dominate many of the celeb fragrances! 🙂

  • The notes sound rather nice….generally I am not swoon by celebrity fragrances, but a collaboration with CdG sounds worth a try. The bottle is cute also.

  • Not a celeb scent girl much either, but this collaboration definitely may change that in a hurry! Glad to see Sephora getting in on this one.

i was expecting the name Happy but i guess it may be difficult since Clinique owns the trademark

Yay, love Commes des Garcons, Pharrell and small bottles! I think a collaboration like this with a quirky company like CdG makes this sound much more interesting than a typical celebuscent. Fun bottle, hope they do something fun with the 10ml size, too.

  • Cynthia Richardson says:

I like the bottle, logo and packaging – designed by House + Holme, featuring bold, cartoonish artwork by the New York-based artist. Hope the fragrance is as unique as Pharell.
