One way to beat the winter blues may be a spritz of the new Barneys New York designer fragrance by California Jeweler Irene Neuwirth whose opalescent gems are worn by Claire Danes and Eva Longoria. The eponymous perfume follows Greg Lauren and L’Wren Scott (both by CaFleureBon’s Perfumer of 2013, Ralf Schwieger) as the third participant in Barneys’ designer fragrance collection series, and Ms Neuwirth takes the series in a different, lighthearted and sunny direction. Inspired by Neuwirth’s memories of summers at the beach as a girl, the sophisticated white floral fragrance contains notes of neroli, orange flower, jasminum sambac, rose, coconut, vanilla and musk. Ralph Schwieger has been in industry for so long and i wonder why I didn’t know about him before that ELDO afternoon of a faun event in NY..he is now one of the most sought-after perfumers it seems

I’m not normally a “beach” perfume person, but this sounds quite lovely for summer…and there’s that whole Ralf Schweiger thing. 😉 I’m coming around more to coconut notes since sniffing Perfect Coconut Milk from Sarah Horowitz.
