Penhaligon’s announced they were going to let M Duchaufour and other perfumers have the chance to update their older creations and this was going to be a 10-fragrance set under the Anthology umbrella. Four were released in 2009, four were released last year and we are now at journey’s end with the release of the final two, Esprit du Roi and Eau Sans Pareil.

I don’t feel that nomenclature fully conveys the subtleties of this new Caron release, which will be a fountain fragrance, and will demonstrate the vitality still evident in the timeless House of Caron.
NEW FRAGRANCE REVIEW: Carner Barcelona Cuirs ‘Leather-palooza’
Carner Barcelona Cuirs was the single best new fragrance I hadn’t tried before at Elements Showcase. Sara Carner enlisted perfumer Sonia Constant to create a fragrance, “redolent with nostalgia for a bygone era of artisan ateliers, where pipesmoke filled the air fusing with the scent of finely tanned leather.”
