Senyokô Paris Madama Butterfly II, La Tsarine, Migration de L’Abre, Duo Des Fleurs (Euan McCall) + Parfums Extraordinaire Draw

Senyoko Paris Madama Butterfly II review

Senyokô Paris Madama Butterfly II Silver Fox ©

I am in quiet love with Senyokô Paris Madama Butterfly II, a luxuriant oddity from a beautiful fairytale house, a beguiling coalescence of French and Japanese aesthetics, founded by Creative Directors Joseph and Eglantine Berthion. Along with Migration De L’Abre, La Tsarine and Duo de Fleurs, they have delivered one of the most gorgeous lines I have tried for a while.

Euan McCall perfumer

Euan McCall of Edinburgh-based Jorum Laboratories

The perfumer is Euan McCall of Edinburgh-based Jorum Laboratories who has recently just launched his own beautifully complex sui generis Progressive Botany Collection Vol I for Jorum StudioMadama Butterfly II smells of boozy raspberries soaking on a layer of langue de chat biscuits, pricked with pink pepper. There is sakura or cherry blossom in the heart of the scent along with a squeaky tulip accord and iris, but I can’t shake the feeling Euan has scented an entire avenue of sakura with lush raspberry and is amused by the unexpected juxtaposition of odour as the petals fall. He has done something unusual in the opening, mingling the crisp honeyapple vintage vibe of quince with the rubbed golden-stain rub of marigold. Alongside the drunken berry note the brain registers seductive slo-mo crossfire of effects before deeper, richer notes settle in. Of these it is the tonka that enriches the most, seeping a moist gathered hay and velveteen vanilla haze around sandalwood, cedarwood and chocolate tinged patchouli.

enyoko Paris Madama Butterfly II review

 The Silver Fox ©

Senyokô Paris Madama Butterfly II has wingbeats of gourmand flourishes, but they are carefully sweet. The more I wear it the more I sense a calmness, a throwback to the moment of Cio Cio San arranging flowers in her house, waiting for the bounder Pinkerton to arrive, her heart swelling with love and expectation, the blooms around foreshadowing where love will spill red onto haunted ground. I like to imagine each spray of crushed raspberry is in fact a sanguine stain of devastated Geisha’s blood, shed for honour.

Tsarine by Senyokô Paris review

Senyokô Paris©

La Tsarine is a very different animal, a musky smutpiece that De Sade would have relished. An unlikely reference is the anatomically graphic furniture made for Catherine the Great, decorated with eye-popping phalli, scrota and a garden of vulvae. One of her main tables is exquisitely obscene, rendered to shock eye and mind into appalled delight. Civet, cumin, costus and castoreum under honey, saffron and indolic jasmine absolute serve a similar odorous purpose in La Tsarine. I am considering this as fabulous sillage pornographiqe, and for now will admire at a distance, it’s a just a little too much for migraine-me. But if you like your perfumes like peeled-off latex after safe-word sex then this is your glandular, glorious juice.

Senyoko Paris Migration de L’Abre review

Senyokô Paris©

Migration de L’Abre, a 2019 Art & Olfaction finalist, is a green gorgeous wonder of muted, fairytale sadness. Greens hang like so many leached wallpapers in abandoned country mansions, moss, mould, leaves encroaching. It is a rendering of Last Year’s Tree, a sad little fable written in the 1930s by Nankichi Niimi about a bird and the tree he sings to. Within this complex formula of chewy mastic, amber, pomegranate, elemi, clary sage, juniper and a mellow marriage of nigella seed and tobacco is a haunting concept of mutual dependency. Tree dies, bird dies.

Senyokô Paris Duo des fleurs review

Occasionally perfumes come along that fill my hermit rooms like photoluminescent insects. Duo Des Fleurs is one of these experiences, a duet between massively rendered rose de mai and jasmine. It is enormous and I LOVE it. There is such turbulence in the indolic boom and intriguingly the rose jasmine minglesmell of leaf, thorn, sepal, pollen, bud and petal amplify on warm skin, sometimes to the point where the floral music is overwhelming. An impressionistic use of creamy sandalwood and warm apricotty blush of Davana provides eloquent ground for the lashings of floral extravagance.  The crux of Duo Des Fleurs is a Mitti Attar accord created by Euan to give the impression that the perhaps rose and jasmine is forbidden lovers fleeing in monsoon rain.

Senyoko Paris La Tsarine, Migration de L’Abre, Duo Des Fleurs review

Along with Senyokô Paris  Madama Butterfly II these three remarkable demonstrate how imagination, aesthetic recognition, persistent attention to olfactive and design detail a startup brand can create a small collection of immensely beautiful and original work.

Bravo.

Samples kindly provided by Senyokô Paris. Merci inifiniment.  Opinions now and always will be my own.

  • I very love this review. And all of these fragrances sounds very nice. If I would be as lucky to win, my choice is Duo Des Fleurs , beacause this one sound absolutely wonderful from the base of the notes. Thank you for the chance. I live in Europe.

  • La Tsarine sounds like my kinda jam. Give me that skanky, over the top stuff. I enjoyed the explicitness of this review 😉 Canada

  • Fragrances good enough to bring our elusive Fox back to us must be very good indeed. Retirement has not taken one ounce of magic away from his reviews, either; these all sound wonderful! Although Duo Des Fleurs is probably more to my usual taste, I am greatly intrigued by La Tsarine, and would choose that if I am lucky enough to win. Many thanks to Senyokô Paris and CaFleureBon for the chance!

  • platinumdust says:

La Tsarine is a “musky smutpiece”. That made me so excited to try it. I would definitely choose La Tsarine – I love skanky musky scents. You can find me in California, USA.

  • Hikmat Sher Afridi says:

The Silver Fox, many Thanks for the wonderful reviews! La Tsarine made for Empress of Russia – Catherine the Great & the base notes are very much appealing to my taste. As I love roses so Duo Des Fleurs is my other favorite from this perfume line.
Thanks for the generosity & draw. My choice is La Tsarine. Pakistan

  • Love the foray into provocative territory with Madame Butterfly II, but I was especially impressed by TSF’s description of Migration de L’Arbre. Very evocative of the fairy tales I was told as a lad in the forests of central Europe. Definitely my kind of thang and easily the one I would choose to try. Canada.

  • I loved reading about these four different fragrances, each with different features and unique inspirations. My choice is Madame Butterfly because the combination of notes sounds like nothing I have ever tried before. Thank you for the opportunity, I live in the USA.

  • Symbian Pandora says:

    Wow! How eloquently said!
    Beautiful writing and descriptions!
All three sound fabulous, but La Tsarine hit my hot spot! Love a challenge! Would love to win a bottle, if not it will certainly be on my to buy list!
Thanks to all for the draw. I am in the USA.

  • Elizabeth T. says:

A beautifully written piece, TSF, as always. Thank you for returning to us, short as it may be. Your words glow for this collection. I was especially touched by the description of Migration de L’Abre, though would have to choose Madama Butterfly II based on the notes… I am in the USA – thank you to Cafleurebon and Senyokô Paris for this opportunity!

  • All of these sound so amazing thanks to the glorious descriptions by the Silver Fox! I haven’t heard of this house before but now I will definitely search it out. Because I have a penchant for animalic and indolic scents I am immediately drawn to La Tsarine but truly any of them sound right up my alley. Thanks for the draw. I’m in the US.

  • I love his vivid descriptions of the fragrances. I can visualize the type of person who would wear each one as well as the time and place. Since I love massive rose and jasmine fragrances, I would choose Duo Des Fleurs. Thanks for the draw. I live in the US.

  • I am most intrigued by musky animalic La Tsarine that has amazing notes like saffron, jasmin, and honey. This brand draws inspiration from both Japanese and French aesthetics and in my experience French perfumes are grand while Japanese are discreet so I am curious about these perfumes. My choice is La Tsarine. I am in US

  • I enjoyed most the description of Duo des Fleurs. My choice is Duo des Fleurs. Im curious about the mixing smell of rose de mai with jasmine. Live in EU

Any fragrance that reminds of any city or with a sniff you feel you already there is the best sort. Senyokô Paris Madama Butterfly II Excites me the most since it has French and Japanese anesthetics. Pink peppers with boozy raspberries seems an exclusive combination to me and I would love to try it.

Silver fox, I guess he took the name after his retirement as he is quite sharp and to the point with his explanations.

Thanks Senyokô Paris for providing the chance to win a 50ml bottle.

  • All of these fragrances sound unique and interesting. I liked the green, mossy description of Migration de L’Abre best. Thanks for introducing me to another great brand. USA

  • As generally wholesome and unassuming as most of my perfume selections are, I must say I am very intrigued by La Tsarine. Civet is a note I have very little experience with, but the idea of it being wrapped in honey, saffron and cumin sounds delightful! This article, although more visually graphic than I was expecting, was an entertaining read, and I feel as though they were written in such a way as to really paint an image in the mind of what these perfumes must smell like. USA

  • I really enjoyed the descriptions of the scents especially of Madama Butterfly II and La Tsarine very much paints a picture of the perfume. If I was to win I would choose Madama Butterfly II. From CT USA. Thanks.

  • The Plum Girl says:

Thank you for sharing your quiet love! La Tsarine sounds like a challenge, consider it accepted! I’m in EU

  • What I liked about the reviews was the very descriptive, image-enhancing nature of them. Every one was nicely worded, making one salivate and the anticipation of getting one’s hand on the fragrance. The one that I would desire to receive is Migration de L’Abre. I am from Waldorf, Maryland, USA.

  • The notes of each of these fragrances are riddled with unique notes that automatically make them all as enticing as can be. This startup line seems like it has a lot to prove early on, and there is no doubt that its point has been proven with these charming creations. Commenting from FL, USA.

  • Everything is magical about this brand!
I believed Silver Fox is absolutely enamoured with Duo de Fleurs as his writing reflects his enchantment.
Would love to win out Duo des Fleurs
    I live in the EU

  • Thank you for your wonderful review.
I especially get interested in Duo des Fleurs.
I heard this fragrance is inspired by the tragedy “Lakme”, but in Duo des Fleurs, the two lovers finally get together in monsoon rain!
    So romantic.
    I live in Japan.

  • Hi Silver Fox, a beautiful article and artwork. I really enjoyed the description of the scents and would love to try the new one Madame butterfly. All of the fragrance sound unique and interesting. Hard to choose. Thanks for the chance . USA

  • Thanks for introducing a new house, Silver Fox! The fragrances of Senyokô must really be amazing for someone like you to say that it has been one of the most gorgeous lines you’ve tried in a while. Of all those described, I’m attracted to 2 scents- Migration de L’Abre described as a green gorgeous wonder of muted, fairytale sadness; and Duo Des Fleurs which gives the impression that the perhaps rose and jasmine is forbidden lovers fleeing in monsoon rain. I’d love to win Duo Des Fleurs. Thanks for this opportunity. – CA, USA

  • I would love to try the Migration de L’Abre. Interesting to see the range of perfumes created. Thanks for the opprtunity. Living in the EU

  • The encounter between Japanese culture and the West, like so many lucky encounters, can create masterpieces. Madama Butterfly II intrigued me a lot. Thank you for the opportunity to lead us in these fragrant worlds rich in different olfactory experiences … Linda70 – EU

  • I am curious to try these fragrances outside the box, art, music, opera, all the beauty of life enclosed in these fragrances to make people dream with joy and also with a veil of melancholy. I like it Madama Butterfly II
    Angel, Europe

  • “Migration de L’Ambre” with its tobacco notes I really like it a lot. Congratulations for the wonderful review, these words take us to worlds full of poetry. Alex living in the Europe

  • What a fantastic review, what I loved most is that it played out just like a fairytale.
The it started with an alluring opening because of the gourmand nature of the first review.

Then it got darker and more dramatic with the anamalics of the second perfume.

Then it closed the book with with a bang because of the last perfume.

The whimsical language and descriptions added so much intrigue to the reviews.

    I’d choose La Tsarine.

    I live in Ireland.

  • What did I enjoy about The Silver Fox’s reviews? The description of La Tsarine. The word “smutpiece” made me smile.
I would choose Madama Butterfly II.
    I live in the US.

  • Oh my, oh my, first of all well done on an absolutely spellbinding review,
it makes me desperate to try all four of them, but the crushed raspberries as a ‘stain of sanguine stain of devastated geisha’s blood ‘ and my love for Puccini tip it in favour of Madama Butterfly.
Thanks for the gorgeous photos, for this draw, and for the passion shared.

I went to Senyoko’s website to try and find out where I can sample these
scents but it seems to be malfunctioning.

    I live in the UK.

  • Thank you for this magnificent piece, it communicated the experience of smelling these fragrances most vividly and beautifully.
I’m torn between Migration de l’Arbre (“green gorgeous wonder of muted, fairytale sadness”), and Duo des Fleurs (“impression that the perhaps rose and jasmine is forbidden lovers fleeing in monsoon rain”), but I think I’d choose the former.
Migration de l’Arbre, as described by the author, can’t help but capture the imagination of a passionate lover of green perfumes, like me. And the inclusion of mastic only increases my eagerness to try it.
Thank you for the fantastic draw, best from France, EU.

  • Duo Des Fleurs sounds really interesting as it seems to be a very opulent and powerful fragrance containing jasmine and rose. I would pick this one if I were to win. I am in EU. Thank you!

  • Love the review of La Tsarine the art and description it was very seductive would love to smell this on my wife. La Tsarine is my choice if I win. USA

  • Migration de L’arbre sounds so beautiful. I find sad fairytales to be really charming and beautiful and sometimes feel the sadness in a perfume (think L’heure bleue, Un jardin apres la mousson). I believe the elemi blended with herbal notes and tobacco can express that beautifully and I would like to get that, should I win. I liked how easy and to the point the Silver Fox’s review was. Got a clear image of each of these perfumes in my head. Thanks! From EU.

  • MADAMA BUTTERFLY II, thus art becomes fragrance. Very beautiful notes: pink pepper, apple, raspberry, amber, sandalwood … passionate as the name of the fragrance, here the curiosity becomes a great desire to know these wonderful creations. My favorite is Madama Butterfly II
    Mat from Europe

  • Oh god. La Tsarine. Hahahah. Silver Fox did quite a brave job by describing this one. I only have to smell it now to see if I get the same impressions of its magnificent “sillage pornographique”. So that would be choice if I won. Anyhow, this was an extremely tough choice. Madama Butterfly is one of my favorite heroines in the history of musical theatre, and seems like the perfume with the same name made it justice. Migration sounds magical and downcast. Duo de fleurs must be a sure-fire, gorgeous beauty. But La Tsarine’s ghost scent got in the back of my nose now and is waiting to be tickled(…or whipped?) hahah. Thanks for an awesome review. From EU.

  • Another really great review! I heard about Senyoko a few times now, but never sampled their perfumes. Loved the explicit depiction of La Tsarina. I must say, both Madame Butterfly II and Migration de L’Abre sound amazing. If I win, I would choose a bottle of Migration de L’Abre.
    Greetings from Austria (EU)

  • What a provocative brand, but such in a smart way, with attention to tiniest details! All four frangrances sound amazing and I will try to sample them all, but according to the notes, Migration de L’Abre sounds the closest to my personal taste. I am very curious how nigella seed, tobacco and pomegranate can sound together. I wish the success to Senyokô Paris.
My choice is Migration de L’Abre, I live in the EU.
    Thank you!!

  • redwheelbarrow says:

I love the description of boozy raspberries and so I suppose, my choice would be Madama Butterfly II. But I think that I will have to find myself a sample of Migration de L’Abre from your description of muted fairytale sadness. What beautiful imagery! And I loved learning about Catherine the Great’s furniture! Off to google that… Thank you for the truly enjoyable review and draw. I’m in the US.

  • Thank you The Silver Fox for these vivid and fancy descriptions of fragrances!
I ordered a sample set just a few days ago so I am really happy to see another positive review of Senyoko’s scents.
I really would like to win the bottle of Madama Butterfly because its description’s simply moved me.
    I live in Poland.

  • I’m not familiar with Seyoko , but if I get the same experience with Madama Butterfly II I’ll check this house out.
Boozy berries , marigold and gourmand cookies nuances. What is this?
Growing up in UK I can relate with Madama Butterfly II with my mom ( mum in UK) used to plant, and grow marigolds, and me still keeping the childhood tradition of regularly drinking tea and eating cookies …. almost every day. Sorry in UK no one calls them cookies, but biscuits instead.
Pretty sure the reviewer is from UK , because “biscuits” is rarely used outside of UK.
    Thank you all.
    USA

  • I’d never heard of this perfume house before! I loved the review of these scents! My favorite of them all is Duo Des Fleurs because I just love rose fragrances.
    I live in the USA.

  • Sublime images and poetic writing as ever from The Silver Fox and whilst they all sound irresistible, the imagery conjured by Euan McCall’s Madame Butterfly II is the one I would like to wear tonight! England

  • I enjoyed reading The Silver Fox’s description of La Tsarine the most. I can almost smell the “peeled-off latex after safe-word sex” part, which is intriguing and entertaining.

If I’d be so lucky to win, I would choose Migration de L’Abre because of its apparent woodiness. I live in Boston USA. Thanks.

  • What I really liked most about the review is that the Silver Fox was honest about the one scent that was too much for them (La Tsarine). So often the reviews are all complimentary, almost fawningly so.
And Jorum Laboratories have an amazing Insta account that everyone should follow.
For my pick, should I be lucky enough to win, is Madama Butterfly II. Love the story and the notes!
    And I’m in the USA.

  • Thank you Silver Fox for all the wonderful descriptive words used in your article/review. I feel like I could smell each fragrance you introduced. I love the sound of Madama Butterfly II best. It makes me think of Valentine’s Day. 🙂 In the USA

  • squeaky the pin says:

I love the silver fox reviews I often re read his blog! I found these reviews so romantic and just beautiful words, I definitely want to try them. Madame Butterfly sounds like the one for me. I am in the U.K.
    Thank you fingers crossed!

  • Wow, new house and new perfumer for me. And 4 so great creations. I’d love to try them all but if I have to chose, I will chose Migration de L’Abre. I love green scents. I live in Poland.

  • I enjoyed how the reviewer conveyed how different and specific each of the perfumes are. I would choose La Tsarine because it’s the most outrageous. I live in the US.

  • I’m a teetotaler, but I just love boozy fragrances.
Madama Butterfly II sounds marvelous – delicious boozy berries, vanilla woody base with patchouli. I was not aware of Senyoko . I’m fragrance lover for almost 25 years, but with so much new niche and indie houses popping up every week, it’s hard to keep up.
I’m about to check Senyoko site , if they have a sample set for sale , or not… I hope they do.
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • Funny, I just first heard of this house today! It’s a very interesting aesthetic the Japanese/French combo. Anyways I’d like to try the Madama Butterfly, but all 3 sound so different but intriguing too.

  • Monica Beaton says:

Wow – a mixture of wonderful fragrant tales posing as reviews, combined with (sometimes very) graphic simple art and I’m hooked. Madame Butterfly II sounds like me. I would love to say that La Tsarine is more my style – and it probably was 30 years ago – but I live in a slower lane.Wonderful review – incredible art – thank you Mr Fox. I am in Australia

  • Both Migration de L’Abre and Madama Butterfly II sounds really good to me, but Madama Butterfly II takes the Cake ( in a nice way, because some use this expression/phrase in a negative way).
Aaa langue de chat … i was brought back to my years in Paris , with me trying to fulfill my dream of becoming Pastry Chef. Well i am now 🙂
Langues- de – chat au chocolat et aux frambois , or langue de chat with berries and chocolate is entry level dessert every Pastry Chef learns during his education. I have a feeling the perfumer was eating those and drinking … a cocktail maybe , and that’s how he came up with the idea of making Madama Butterfly II.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign . USA

  • I am usually all about the smutty fragrances, but this time I am reading and rereading The Silver Fox’s review of Madama Butterfly, and I feel I am almost able to taste the raspberries and quince. And I love the opera so much. I would definitely choose Madama Butterfly II.
    I live in the USA.

  • Boozy raspberries? Hmmm There’s a really interesting , and trendy British gin company called Pinkster . Basically they sell raspberry infused gin in all kinds of varieties. Fruit gin liqueur, raspberry jam with gin and so on. The jam taste is just unreal . Maybe Madama Butterfly 2 was made to emulate the smell of Pinkster products, inspiration maybe? I do travel back and forth to Scotland, and Punkster are popular over there, Euan McCall is Scottish, I don’t know it could be a coincidence of course .
Madama Butterfly 2 sounds the best of the four , not only because it reminded me of Pinkster raspberry jam with gin , but also because of the patchouli in the base.
    Thank you
Back and forth between USA and Scotland. One week in US -> one week in Scotland, and so on. Basically both USA and EU/UK at the same time.

  • So many delightful notes such as raspberries, pink pepper, sakura, tulip and iris have appeared in the description of Madama Butterfly. The silver Fox-you have made me want it. I would love to try this one. I live in Europe.

  • I love the imagery on this review, and its storyful use of words.
I was most intrigued by the Migration de L’Abre and would love to get my hands on a bottle.
    I’m from Germany!

  • BostonScentGuy says:

There were some priceless phrases in here (ie musky smutpiece). I love how the Silver Fox captures three very different moods for each scent. I’d love to win La Tsarine. Thanks for the draw! I’m in the US.

  • I would love to try that Madama Butterfly II, sounds awesome by the notes list. Thanks for the chance, i’m in the EU.

  • What I enjoyed most was the graphics…lol. I would choose Duo Des Fleurs because of the notes.i live in USA.

  • Foxys writing cranks up the music in my head, which is a good thing. Currently playing in my mind is Johann Sebastian Bach Air On The G String. I have been intrigued by the work of Euan McCall for some time. These works sound delightful each in their own right. I, however, may not be quite ready for a glorious glandular juice at the present time. But Madama Butterfly II sounds like it may fit right in with the current music playing in my head.

  • alexisdavid1892 says:

Thank you for this article! It’s my first time hearing Senyoko Paris and all the perfumes featured here are interesting. I would love to have Duo Des Fluers and I think this line captured the perfumer’s intention – “The crux of Duo Des Fleurs is a Mitti Attar accord created by Euan to give the impression that the perhaps rose and jasmine is forbidden lovers fleeing in monsoon rain.” Sounds (or smells) exciting! Thank you for this chance! With love from the Philippines

  • What a splendid review. I liked its imagery, its evocative language, and the interesting art work which accompanied it. I think I would like the Madama Butterfly ll. The wording that summons up Puccini’s opera makes me want to try it. Thank you for the review and the generous draw. I”m in the USA

  • Migration de L’Abre sounds wonderful. I love green fragrances and this one was a 2019 Art & Olfaction finalist. I’m in the USA.

  • I loved in this article that for every perfume a back-story is told and put beside the olfactory and ingredient-Description.

    My choice: Migration de L’Abre

    Living in Germany, EU

  • The fragrances sound really creative. Migration de L’abre sounds like a tart, resinous, green scent, judging by the notes in the brief description. La Tsarine sounds the most interesting of them. Sounds very sexual and animalic.

I choose La Tsarine if I win though.
Im in IL in the US. Thanks for the draw

  • Michael Prince says:

Silver Fox, great review of Senyokô Paris. I would choose Migration de L’Abre. I am from the USA.

  • Most appealing of the four is Madama Butterfly II, no doubt about it. Boozy raspberries, patchouli, biscuits and iris? Ok it’s not exactly a gourmand, but fragrance leaning into it. Count me in, sounds really nice.
    Thank you. USA

  • Thank you for this opportunity. I like how TSF describes Migration de L’Abre as something haunting. The description ( the death and decay part) also reminds me Djedi (1927, Guerlain) and Thebes G1 (Sultan Pasha).
My little dabbling tells me that clary sage, mastic, vetiver, ambergris and elemi (amongst other things), which are all mentioned in this composition, can produce something sombre and serious too. So if I win, I would love to try Migration de L’Abre. (Greetings from Bangladesh & UK)

  • I loved the description of Migration de l’Arbre. I had never heard that story before and I am intrigued. However, my choice would be Duo Des Fleurs, since I read somewhere else that it was inspired by the famous Delibes duet from Lakme, which I really love, and am listening to as I write this. I think this line sounds extremely interesting due to the Japanese aesthetic. I also recently watched a Youtube review of Madama Butterfly, which gave it high praise. Definitely worth trying out these fragrances.

Great review! Thanks for the giveaway.
    I’m in Canada

  • Madama Butterfly II resonates with me because of the raspberries and alcohol kind of smell. I just love raspberry cocktails – Raspberry Daiquiri, Raspberry Mojito, Raspberry Prosecco, Raspberry Martini and so on…
It’s a tradition since my college day to drink raspberry cocktails and to eat chocolate with my girlfriends.
Quince could be considered vintage note , but actually it’s really trendy lately Sirrah Tiziana Terenzi, Dolce Amalfi Xerjoff …
Thank you for introducing this new house to us.
USA most of year ,and Germany from time to time

  • Excellent review by the Silver Fox! All of the fragrances sound amazing and I am immediately drawn to Madama Butterfly II because of the sakura. I love cherry blossoms and this one sounds exquisite. I am intrigued by: “He has done something unusual in the opening, mingling the crisp honeyapple vintage vibe of quince with the rubbed golden-stain rub of marigold. Alongside the drunken berry note the brain registers seductive slo-mo crossfire of effects before deeper, richer notes settle in. Of these it is the tonka that enriches the most, seeping a moist gathered hay and velveteen vanilla haze around sandalwood, cedarwood and chocolate tinged patchouli.” If I were lucky enough to win my choice would be Madama Butterfly II. Thanks for the giveaway and I live in the US!

  • Why does it say retired? The Silver Fox is a fantastic writer and those photos. I read him when he was Cafleurebon and his own blog. Big fan. Boozy raspberry and opera. Madama Butterfly 2 for me. Each reads like a fairytale
    I am in the USA

  • Outstanding reviews from The Silver Foxs. I love the metaphoric explanations of the fragrances and what they bring to our olfactory senses. I would choose Duo Des Fleurs based on the notes. Thanks for the day. I live in the USA.

  • Very interesting review. For me, both Madame Butterfly II and Duo Des Fleurs sound amazing. If I win, I would choose a bottle of Duo Des Fleurs, because I love roses in any combination.
    I am from EU
