I have been very fortunate to have great mentors during my early work life like Dominique Ropion,Jean Louis Sieuzac, Bertrand Duchaufour and later Maurice Roucel. They all had one thing in common… they studied the fantastic Jean Carles method, where you must really understand your raw materials and  use them only if they are bringing something to your perfume, a way to create with shorter formula, the quintessence of the perfume with no artificiality. I remember this philosophy each time I create perfume.
