Immortelle can be found in many Parfum d´Empire creations, but it wasn’t until 2019’s Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse that founder and perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato created a fragrance that sets these highly scented yellow flowers into a golden crown.

Parfum d'Empire Immortelle Corse by Marc-Antoine Corticchiato

Marc-Antoine Corticchiato quote – edited by Emmanuelle Varron (picture by L’Express Styles)

“Parfum d’Empire moves forward by going back to its Roots; to the glorious island Marc-Antoine Corticchiato’s hails from: Corsica. The collection L’Héritage Corse is a tribute to its natural beauty, to its energy. To the fragrances that define its scent-scape from the rugged seaside to the untamed maquis and proud mountains.”- a note from the brand.

Immortelle Corse is included in the “L’Héritage Corse” collection along with Acqua di Scandola, Corsica Furiosa, Eau de Gloire, Salute! and Mal-Aimé,  which are all dedicated to Corsica, the Island of Beauty. Immortelle is often used in perfumery, but it is Marc-Antoine Corticchiato’s deep connection to this flowering plant  that grows wild on the rocky cliffs that makes Immortelle Corse unique.

Parfum d´Empire Immortelle Corse is a radiant fragrance. Each ingredient- immortelle apricot, lemon and saffron evokes the colors of the sun. This solar hued opening possesses the skin… and never let’s go. The effect is stunning; the mélange of citrus, fruit and spice have unusual power. Saffron is particularly present, which gives Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse a very carnal, primordial and bewitching effect. The velvety aspect of apricot adds roundness to the composition and a hint of fruity delicacy, without being too sweet and  enhances the leathery, spicy and gleaming facets that makes Immortelle Corse so distinctive.

what is immortelle

The double dose of immortelle takes its time to develop just like the sun reaches its apex at noon I just need to close my eyes to imagine myself in the heart of the Corsican maquis, under a hot sun, my face swept by a rushing mistral from the South of France. At the base earthy  tones appear provided by the oak moss allowing the double dose of immortelle to unfold over the hours, like the flower blooming in the heart of the maquis. Parfum d’Empire fragrances all have incredible longevity as the raw materials chosen by Marc-Antoine Corticchiato are of the highest quality. Immortelle Corse is an Extrait (like Musk Tonkin and Tabac Tabou) which you  perceive immediately because of its richness. It is a fragrance of unspoiled nature (much of the island was designated as the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse(PNRC) in1972 ) with an intensity that seizes me from the first spray and heats on my skin.

unsplash and digital effects of Immortelle

I fell for Parfum d´Empire Immortelle Corse as soon as it was released, as I was immediately ensorcelled by the intensity of its sweet, leathery and spicy notes.  In summer, it echoes the sun, nature and gives my skin a fiery and intense scent, which everyone who brushes against me can’t help asking, “what fragrance ae you wearing.”  Embraced by its warmth in the  chill of winter, soaking up its glow when we have a rainy day in Paris, I  confess that I can’t resist putting my nose to my wrist in any weather and from sunup to sundown.

Notes: lemon, apricot, saffron, immortelle essence, immortelle absolute, oakmoss.

Disclaimer: A big “merci” to Marc-Antoine Corticchiato for the Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse tester provided for this review. The opinions expressed are my own.

  • Yes! Emmanuelle & Michelyn! Thank you so much for reviewing this exact perfume! ❤️ Ever since CaFleureBon’s wonderful examination of Acqua di Scandola, Parfum d’Empire & especially Immortelle Corse has been on my wishlist!!! ❤️ The “ingredients of the sun” do indeed sound radiant! I love that it is an Extrait and that Marc-Antoine Corticchiato uses the finest ingredients to represent the beauty of Corsica. What a dazzling place. What a perfect suggestion to wear on a drizzly or snowy day! “The fragrance of unspoiled nature” – yes, please! Thank you, so so much for sharing your gorgeous thoughts about Immortelle Corse! This is exactly the scent I most want to try from Marc-Antoine Corticchiato! Even if I am not lucky enough to win the draw, your intelligent, beautiful, & artistic vision of this perfume will greatly help me to better understand it, and M. Corticchiato’s work altogether. Thank you so much for this opportunity! ❤️ USA

What a beautiful review! I love the line that says how the scent “echoes the sun.” Immortelle is a hard note to treat right, and I love how it sounds like its herbal facets are on display here rather than just a syrupy sweet amber. Also, I love PdE and its in-house perfumer…faves include Cuir Ottoman, Musk Tonkin, Fougere Bengale (another lovely incorporation of immortelle!), and honestly most I’ve tried! Thanks for the draw! I’m in the US (Colorado).

  • kramerongo says:

Interesting to know that Immortelle is used in all frag. Its fruite fragrance that remind you of Corsica and sea. Lovely mix of apricot and lime plus lemon, so sweet. My favorite is this one.I am in Sweden EU

  • Thank you for the opportunity. This sounds absolutely divine!
From the description and the notes, it reads like the perfect evocation of the sun.
I’m from Boston. I have yet to try any from this brand yet.

  • Chiara Prete says:

This frag has been in my wish list for a long time, I love it for being earthy and wild but at the same time round and cozy.
I would like to try Fougere Bengale.

  • I am a huge fan of Parfum d’ Empire, having multiple bottles of Cuir Ottoman as well as two bottles of Musc Tonkin. Ambre Russe from the brand is my most favorite Amber. Immortelle perfumes tend to be warm compositions and while Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse also seems a warm composition, it also seems to have fruity side that makes it different from usual immortelle perfumes. My favorite from the brand is Cuir Ottoman. I am in US

  • The review of the perfume evokes hope of a long summer. Immortelle Corse would be the perfect perfume to make the summer feel longer. After reading the review this is the exact fragrance I want to try from Parfum d’Empire.

    Thank you for the draw!

  • Patty Wood says:

I like the aroma of immortelle, but it can take over a room. It needs something to blend with it favorably and soften it a bit, in my view. The description in the review persuades me that Immortelle Corso might just be the perfect immortelle fragrance for me. I love what Mr. Corticchiato did with iris in Equestrius. That is my favorite Parfum D’Empire fragrance. I live in WV, USA. Please enter me in the draw.

  • I feel that this is a great review. I live in Poland, EU. I would really like to try Here Comes the Sun. Hope to win.

  • WeAreScentient says:

This sounds stunning, it also sounds like summer sun in bottle, I could use that right about now as its seems to have forgotten its summer here… Also I’m a big fan of Immortelle in perfumes. I’ve not smelled any yet but have been eyeing Ambre Russie & Cuir de Ottoman. I will definitely be exploring Marc-Antoine Corticchiato’s creations in the future. 🙂

It must be a perfect ingredient to reveal the beauty of the sunny france, down to fiery and intense scent, great review Emmanuelle and michelyn, my favorite is Ambre russe.

  • I imagine that this perfume smells like summer. I’m in the US, and I’d love to try this perfume. Thanks!

  • Such a wonderful review of Parfum d’ Empire Immortelle. The notes are perfect for Summer. Great job Michelyn & Emmanuelle. Thank you for this Chance. USA

  • realtyisme says:

It is nice to have an understanding of how this fragrance came into existence…a friend’s suggestion. So simplistic but the creativity in developing such a beautiful scent shows the artistic talent of Marc-Antoine. Thank you Emmanuelle and Michelyn for providing the literary sensation of this fragrance. USA

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

Nice review. I like how the perfumer utilized immortelle to capture the colors of the sun. I live in Maryland USA. Cuir Ottoman is the only fragrance from the house that I’ve tried.

  • Thank you, Emmanuelle and Michelyn! This! The scent of summer comes through your words and I’ve been comparing sun-drenched fragrances this year. I haven’t had the opportunity to try anything from Parfum d’Empire but would love to try Immortelle Corse and Corsica Furiosa. And Azemour Les Orangers. NC, USA

  • Immortelle Corse is has my name written all over it. I love apricot and immortelle, and I adore oak moss. Really great review by Emmanuelle’ and Michelyn’s. Perhaps the reason why this appeals to me so much at this moment is that I really need to go on a vacation, as they say “hot sun, my face swept by a rushing mistral from the South of France.” I don’t have a favorite Parfum D’Empire, because unfortunately I still haven’t tried any of them. I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Dubaiscents says:

This fragrance is near the top of my to buy list because it’s such an amazing and unique use of immortelle! It is clearly high quality and isn’t too over the top maple syrup like as some immortelle scents can be. I love this whole line especially Tabac Tabou and Cuir Russe. I’d be so grateful to win this bottle. US

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Wonderful review, wonderful perfume. I feel caressed by the rays of the sun from sunrise to sunset in a sweet fruity floral poem.

  • The review does such a wonderful job describing the way this perfume evokes Corsica. I love both immortelle and saffron, so this fragrance sounds right up my alley. The only Parfum d’Empire fragrance I’ve sampled is Cuir Ottoman, which I remember finding lovely. I’m in Oklahoma, USA. As always, thanks for the very generous draw!

  • I have no idea what immortelle smells like but this still sounds amazing. I have Ambre Russe and Cuir Ottoman and I’m dying to try this new Corse line. Absolutely one of my favorite brands.

  • This fragrance speaks sunkissed landscapes, hot gleaming light and wild nature, i’m already hooked by Immortelle Corse’s review, thanks for the draw, from Romania!

  • joshuabrian says:

Nice review! Immortelle is a great note. Now I want to be in the South of France! I’ve not tried the house, but it sure seems promising with creations like this. From USA.

  • A few months ago I had the pleasure of being able to test Immortelle Corse and found it to be a very interesting but, to my nose, also very complicated fragrance. I wasn’t sure if it’d be the right one for me and since I only had a very small sample I could try wearing it to find out. But I was very much intrigued.

That very nicely written review managed to get me really curious again, specially since I nowadays seem to have developed more of a liking for complicated fragrances. Thus I’d like to enter the draw. I’m live in Germany.

As Immortelle Corse is the only fragrance by Parfum D’Empire I’ve tested that would automatically make if my favorite, right? 😉

  • I do not have a favorite Parfum D’Empire perfume, because I have not tried one yet but this one sounds lovely. I love leathery, spicy, and sweet accords so I would love to try this. The review really excited me and I love how they compared the scent to spending time in the south of France. I live in the US and have never been there but it’s definitely on my bucket list.

  • I had the opportunity, back in 2014, to test every fragrance released until then from Parfum d’Empire. A really nice style, approachable, with easy to like fragrances. I am curious how their other releases are, the ones from 2014. I think they should be the same – great fragrances, and a wide selection from where you can choose from!
    Thank you!

  • Immortelle is quite a challenging ingredient. When I used to wear Sables from Annick Goutal, I got all kind of responses and mixed opinions on it. Definitely, not something easy to pull off, especially if you work amongst people, large crowds.
I like that Parfum d’Empire Immortelle is an extrait, double dose of trouble. I want to live dangerously, so please cover me in Immortelle!
Thanks for the review, thanks for the draw!
    I am in Europe

  • I enjoyed hearing about the idea of using the same color range of materials to create this fragrance. What an interesting concept. The fragrance itself sounds like a solar beauty with its blend of citrus, fruits and spice. I would love to end my summer months with this golden scent. I have never heard of Parfum D’Empire perfume. Immortelle Corse is the one I’d like to try. In the USA

Thanks to Marc-Antoine Corticchiato for such a generous giveaway.

  • The colors of the sun all in one perfume. I would love to try all the parfum d empire heritage de corse perfumes. I own Tabac Tabou which is really my favorite and tested azamour l orangers
    Both are so wonderful
    Beautiful review and generous giveaway
    Thank you

  • Hailing from a Mediterranean country myself, I am naturally drawn to solar-themed perfumes. I’m still in search of the perfect one! I have high hopes for Immortelle Corse because whenever I see few notes listed I assume they are of the highest quality. I have Azemour from the same house and I love it deeply – reminds me of my childhood and one particular memory I have from dear aunt that was a pianist who lived in an old house with a tiny fragrant garden. I hope that Immortelle Corse can evoke some sort of long forgotten bliss as well. Many kudos to Marc-Antoine for trying to bottle the aura of his birthplace for us. I hope I can visit Corsica one day! Greetings from sunny Greece (that is unfortunately violently burning right now)…

  • I like the description of the perfume as being sweet, leathery and spicy and the notes.:immortelle apricot, lemon and saffron , they look like really good ones that go well together. I have and really like Iskander .
    I live in the US.
    Thanks!

  • A fragrance of sun drenched unspoiled nature, this is such an inviting description. I also always appreciate the sneak peek behind the creative process. It was interesting to know that the first steps for this fragrance was an association of colors instead of smells. I have been able to try a few from Parfum d’Empire perfumes and my favourites are Cuir Ottoman et Mal Aimé. From EU.

  • Andreea Elena Timofte says:

“In summer, it echoes the sun, nature and gives my skin a fiery and intense scent…” which I loved.
And also the inspiration of a brilliant mind come from unexpected places like Marc-Antoine Corticchiatos from his chef friend.
I have never heard of Parfum D’Empire and I would love to try them.
    I live in London, UK.

  • Andrei Artimon says:

Thank you for the opportunity. This sounds absolutely divine!
From the description and the notes, it reads like the perfect evocation of the sun.
I’m from New York. I have yet to try any from this brand yet.

  • I’ve tried a few Parfum d’Emoire samples and knew there was a common thread that tied them together. I didn’t realize it was immortelle. The sweet, leathery, spicy notes is a good approximation of sunny summer days. Of the samples I’ve tried my favorite was Amber Russe. I’m in MD, USA.

  • Very interesting review!
Love Perfumes d’Empire perfumes very much…love that unique style, especially I love Eau de Gloire!
Moss and immortal sounds very attractive.
    from Armenia

  • Immortelle is a fantastic note, I really enjoy it. This one sounds right in my wheelhouse. I haven’t tried anything else from this brand, and I enjoyed the likening of the flower to a yellow crown 🙂 I’m from Canada. Thank you!

  • The thing about this evocative review is that it really makes me want to go to Corsica, to experience the island’s sun drenched, radiant soul as captured by Marc-Antoine Corticchiato in this creation. Immortelle is such a fantastic material in perfumery. I love how it’s used in Le Mat by Mendittorosa, and in Sunshine Man and Jubilation XXV by Amouage, it adds a fragrant, spicy warm glow. As for Parfum D’Empire fragrances, I’ve only smelled them in passing during a visit to Fumerie Parfumerie in Portland, Oregon. I do remember the high quality, but these fragrances certainly need to be revisited – Ambre Russe and Aziyade, especially!

Thanks so much for the generosity and chance! I’m in Oregon, US.

  • I knew so little about immortelle! This sounds like the perfect summer escape scent. I would love to take it for a travel to Corsica! In Maryland

  • The way Michelyn and Emmanuelle so evocatively described this fragrance made it easy to imagine being on a sunny Corsican hillside full of immortelle blowing in the breeze, with the sea sparkling below. So enchanting! The whole Corsican collection, especially Eau De Gloire, sounds lovely. I’m in the US and would love to try this fragrance.

  • The two ladies described Immortelle Corse so beautifully: a solar, bewitching, addictive perfume which blooms in summer just as it does in winter and surrounds the wearer in such a wonderfully scented aura, that bypassers can’t help but be attracted. The notes of immortelle, saffron and apricot also sound delicious together.
I have never tried any Parfum d’Empire frag before, but I have read wonderful things about Cuir Ottoman, so I would also be interested in trying to, as well as Acqua di Scandola and Le cri de la lumiere, both of which sound great.
    I live in the EU.
    Thanks!

  • Beautiful article. It is very cool that Mr. Corticchiato was inspired by his chef friend’s words.
I really liked the comparison with the sun. For me the sun is life, is happiness, and this fragrance sounds uplifting and cheerful. I am really intrigued by the notes, i imagine the combo of saffon, apricot plus immortelle as a lovely sweet sunny suede leather and i would love to wear it and enjoy it.
I haven’t tried any Parfum d’Empire fragrance yet, but I’m intrigued by Salute, it sounds amazing.
Thank you for the opportunity. Best regards from Mexico.

  • Jmmcmenamin says:

Excited about this draw! I love nothing more than summer – the feel of the warm sun, the fresh scents of outdoors, lazy days in the pool with a fruity drink. I’m not familiar with this fragrance line, but this one might be my favorite, based on the description alone. In Louisiana, USA.

  • Another wonderful article from Emmanuelle and Michelyn, thank you!

After trying many Citrus summer fragrances, I found that it’s Floral fragrances that really catch my nose. Immortelle is a note I have not tried before, but I have read many positive comments about this flower here on CaFleureBon and you could say that I am quite eager to try it myself now!

Summer is my favorite season and like Paris, here in the UK we have our rainy days. I would love to wear Immortelle Corse right now and let it embrace me with its warmth on this cold and rainy day.

I have not tried a fragrance from Parfum d’Empire before, but I have had a look at their collection and I am very impressed with their offerings. Thank you for introducing me!

    Greetings from the UK!

  • I enjoyed reading about the inspiration behind this fragrance, suggested by a chef. The note combination sounds very uplifting snd perfect for summer. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! Mich USA

  • This review was beautiful. Anytime I gear “echo” and “ sun” it always sounds poetic, the notes sound beautiful. Indiana USA

  • I love how the review matched the artistry of the scent itself , inside and out of the bottle as well as how you spoke about it created the most wonderful well rounded view of the fragrance. It has every aspect covered with meticulous attention to detail.

My favourite from the house is musc Tonkin.

    I’m from Israel.

  • The notes on this one sound right up my alley! It’s been a long time since I tried an immortelle fragrance and I would love to ignite this old love of mine with a great take on immortelle like Immortelle Corse looks to be!
    Thank you very much!

Thank you for this worldwide opportunity.
Never had the chance to know Iris from make up but Immortelle will always be something from a beauty line i’ve used.
It was from a perfume house in the middle east that I smell this flower immediately upon spraying. It even coined the name Sunshine, a name given from a country where the eye of heaven doth shine all year round.
A love for me indeed but alas, it lasted only a few hours after spraying. The search continues on for good soliflores. There are other scent that associated itself with the earth’s star, and i agree immortelle fits right in. From Malaysia here.

  • Thanks a lot for the amazing review and of course my gratitude to the creator Marc-Antoine Corticchiato . Emmanuelle & Michelyn! have beautifully described how this is a perfect fall fragrance . Sun dried Immortelle with a powdery touch with added apricots which keeps subtle sweetness to it ( not over sweeten it)
My personal favorite from the brand is Acqua Di Scandola , which i got to smell some time back. Keep up with the good work and keep surprising us with such phenomenal fragrances. I am from Brooklyn , NYC

  • Beautiful review! Love this brand, so I am very intrigued, and more it has interesting and beautiful combination of citruses, pepper, immortal and moss.
Love very much Tabac Tabou – realy masterpiece!

Must beging saying that I LOVE yellow flowers perfumes and, attending the Michelyn and Emmanuelles review this fragrance seems to be a small Piece of art. I LOVE when they say that all the elements in the perfume describe the Sun: apricot, Inmortelle, Lemon… All yellow, all bright, all marvelous! I have not tried any perfume d’Empire scent before but It would be great trying this one which could become for sure one of my favourites.
My name is Edgar and I am writing from Tenerife, Spain. Congratulations for this amazing post!

  • I love Immortelle, and therefore was happy to read in this review about a perfumer and a perfume who try to capture the magic of this plant. There are not many immortelle- scents out there, my favorite so far is the one by Manor Gerakinis.
    Living in Germany

  • This sounds like a scent that I would connect with on a soul level. Sun, sea, citrus, all things that make me feel happy and alive. There is nothing better on a beautiful day to stand in the sun, close your eyes and just be for a moment. Take in the sounds and smells of nature.

I live in Missouri so my sea time is pretty limited, I have to improvise. Fragrance helps keep me connected to where I long to be.

I haven’t tried any of this house but Acqua di Scandola and Iskander both appeal to my typical tastes.

  • Bryant Worley says:

Michelyn and Emmanuelle did a fantastic job defining/breaking down the fragrance, highlighting what the fragrance should feel like on the skin, along with its transportive nature.

I live in Waldorf, Maryland, USA, and the Parfum D’Empire perfumes I’d like to try are Ambre Russe, Russian Amber, Iskander, Tobacco Taboo, Suave Water, etc.

  • Emmanuelle & Michelyn’s review is mesmerizing and so persuasive, that I have already put this sunny fragrance at the top of my list “fragrance to be sampled”. I especially enjoyed a vivid description of the notes and the development of the fragrance.
I had not been familiar with Parfum d´Empire house till reading CafleureBon’s review of Mal-Aimé, which also seems a fragrance of my liking. But the Immortelle Corse seems to be a summery winner for my kind of taste in scents and fragrances.

Thank you for a great illustrative review and the opportunity to participate in a generous draw.
    Greeting from Slovenia.

Lovely review, i would like to try Immortelle Corse. Thanks for the giveaway, i live in Romania, EU.

  • In this review of Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse by Emmanuelle and Michelyn, I found the perfumer’s idea of combining ingredients of similar colors interesting. Thanks for the nice pictures of immortelle flowers, and creating a vivid imagery of Corsican maquis, swept by French mistrals, under the hot sun, and one can almost smell immortelle and other mints, laurels, and myrtles of the maquis. A refreshing, soothing perfume, from the review, and looking at the listed notes. I haven’t tried this brand, yet, but I’d like to try Tabac Tabou, along with Parfum d’Empire Immortelle Corse. Thanks for the review and draw. I am in the USA.

  • Fragrance Capital says:

Thanks, Emmanuelle for this sunny presentation. I liked the inspiration idea of the d’Empire Immortelle Corse parfum. I think Marc-Antoine succeeded in collecting the sun in a nice bottle. The same color ingredients are really a nice idea. I’m sure that those ingredients smell will unique and gorgeous but they will not have good longevity because they are so light. He did also something I always wondering why it is not used which is using immortelle flower as an ingredient. In my opinion, these natural flowers like “immortelle” are very natural, abundant, and truly reflect the vibe of the places that they are naturally grown in. I hope to win this wonderful fragrance since I do not have experience with any perfume from this niche house or Marc-Antoine Corticchiato. Salute from Sarajevo, BiH

  • I like immortelle so I have great anticipation for this double dose of it. From this house I like Wazamba. US

  • Awesome. Loved this review. It really brought immortelle to life for me. It is a note that I have implicitly smelled in several fragrances that contain it, but, to be honest, I’m not sure I know what it smells like on its own. So this was a great description. I also loved the concept of combining notes based on color. That’s weird how true it is! I have not tried any fragrances from this house yet, but have always wanted to try Ambre Russe. Cheers from NC, USA!

  • I love this house and I was lucky enough to grab a couple of older bottles before they changed the bottle size. I’d have to say Equistrius is my favorite but I’ve never tried something from them and not liked it. Associating ingredients that have the same color is an interesting approach. It is nice to get a peek into the creative inspiration for a fragrance. Thanks for the draw & the great article. I’m in the US.

  • What struck me is Corticchiato’s quote that blending ingredients having the same colors ‘always works’ – in this case, they ‘evoke the colors of the sun’; but could that also hold true for reds, blues, etc.? Very interesting and eye-opening in a way. Le Cri De La Lumiere has been on my radar for a while, would love to try it as well. VA, USA

  • wallygator88 says:

    Thank you Emmanuelle.

Such a beautiful set of notes in this fragrance. I loved the images and the fragrance reminded me of the course the sun takes through the sky over the course of the day. The fact that is immortelle in an extrait that allows the immortelle to show itself without being cloying goes to show the skilled hand of the perfumer.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Parfum d’Empire fragrances I have no experience with. Immortelle Corse is elegant and sunny fruity herbal fragrance, with leather base. Sounds good to me.
Osmanthus Interdite I’d like to try , because of peach , suede and green tea accords.
    Thank you

I find it amazing to know that Immortelle is used in all frag. Its fruite fragrance that remind you of Corsica and sea. Lovely mix of apricot and lime plus lemon, so sweet. My favorite is this one.I am in PA USA

  • I feel a certain quiet sureness in this text. A state that is achieved by love. – I really like Le Cris, but my favourite by Corticchiato is his l’Oeilleres for Roberto Greco. – I’d love to win Immortelle Corse to Switzerland, thanks for the draw!

  • I like how this fragrance is rich, an echo of the sun in summer. The double dose of immortelle is very promising!

  • I am very curious about Immortelle Corse as I love this flower, I am familiar with this house, having tested quite a few and I also like the notes from this particular fragrance. All of that indicate that I am going to love this one. Thank you!

  • Immortelle Corse is not your typical mainstream leathery spicy , slightly sweet fragrance, but rather realistic representation of Corsican coast , marquis under the sun. Fiery and Intense , I’m interested.
Parfum d’Empire i do not know , I went to the company website , and WAZAMBA is the one I’d like to try the most
    Thanks for the giveaway

  • I was thoroughly charmed by this review, from the intriguing information about the composition, to the images and sensations of Corsica, and from the fragrance’s wonderful, multilevel radiance to its chameleon-like character that adapts with the change of seasons.
I’d love to win a bottle, my favorite Parfum d’Empire is probably Le Cri De La Lumière.
    Best from France, EU.

  • Emmanuelle and Michelyn for the review and Marc-Antoine Corticchiato for the draw. It’s nice that you found this to be a heady all season fragrance. I’ve not yet tried any Parfum D’Empire perfumes but Immortelle Corse sounds very bright and uplifting. I’m in USA

  • WaltherP99 says:

It’s not just me, but most people know Parfum d’Empire for Ambre Russe, for a good reason I believe. The best representation of the famous “Russian Leather” theme , i truly mean it. By the end of 2019 i finished my bottle, and for some time I was not able to find it in stock anywhere in US. Even Luckyscent told me back then, they are not sure what is going on with the house. Feared it’s discontinued, I bought 2 back bottles from online store in Italy. Later I found out it was just repackaging.
I know not all , but most Parfum d’Empire fragrances, and if I have to rate my favorite ones:
    1. Ambre Russe
    2. Aziyade
    3. Wazamba/Tabac Tabou
From Parfum d’Empire fragrances I don’t know, Immortelle Corse would love to explore, I was not aware such fragrance even existed. I’m curious how olfactory image of the region smells ,i like leather and saffron fragrances.
Thanks to Emmanuelle, Michelyn and Mark-Antoine Corticchiato
    USA only…for now

  • It sounds sunny and delicious. I imagine immortelle goes great with apricot. Thank you for the review and giveaway. I live in Denmark, EU.

  • This post really sold me on Immortelle Corse. From the apricot to lemon and saffron, this is a definite sample from me. I have always loved saffron in perfume, but I don’t think I’ve ever experienced it in such a bright and sunny composition. I also enjoy immortelle, so this should be quite interesting. I have not tried anything from this brand yet, but I see that they do have a complete collection discovery set.

Thanks so much for the draw. From Canada.

Thank you very much Emmanuelle and Michelyn for this review: I must confess that before starting to follow Cafleurebon, I didn’t know the work of Mr. Corticchiato…shame on me! Ever since I read your review of Acqua di Scandola and Mal-Aimé, I knew I would love his creations! I can totally relate to the fierce and sauvage Corsica, I love herbs, spices, citruses, I am really very much intrigued by Immortelle Corse and would love to be the lucky winner. Greetings from Italy

  • After read from this review, I, very much, want to try this fragrance. I’m not familiar enough with immortelle, and this fragrance would help me to know what it is like. I’ve heard before that apricot can be good to pair with immortelle. I like hearing that they use high-quality ingredients and that their fragrances have good longevity. I haven’t tried anything yet from this company, but I do plan to try “Immortelle Corse”, “Fougere Bengale”, and “Acqua di Scandola”. I live in MD., U.S.A.

Gorgeous review – I can practically feel the sun on my face – and I love the composite photo reflecting all the colors of the scent and the sunlight! I haven’t tried a Parfum d’Empire fragrance yet but have been wanting to try Osmanthus Interdite. And of course I’d love to be lucky enough to win Immortelle Corse. I’m in the USA.

  • This one sounds interesting and I would love to discover the immortelle flower, as I don’t think I have ever tested a fragrance having immortelle as the main ingredient.
    Thank you!

  • IvanVelikov says:

Immortelle Corse mélange of citrus, fruit and spice , and mossy base characteristics are appealing to me. It was nice to read everything is well balanced . I wish I had the time for a trip,
on a boat somewhere under a hot sun if the Corsican coast, or South of France.
I do own Ambre Russe, after small research on Parfum d’Empire site, AZIYADÉ i like to try the most. Fruity, spice-laden oriental ? I’m sold
    Thank you all

I am not completely sure I know what immortelle smells like but I love your description of this as a fragrance of unspoiled nature. I love all of your descriptions of warmth in this review and the way the saffron renders the fragrance carnal, primordial and bewitching. This one really sounds interesting and I love the excitement your brought to the review. Thank you for the draw. I am in the US.

  • This review is full of sunrays and warmth of August, seems like perfect scent for Leo season, when you want to be in center of attention.
“In summer, it echoes the sun, nature and gives my skin a fiery and intense scent, which everyone who brushes against me can’t help asking, “what fragrance ae you wearing.”
I like many Parfum d’Empire scents, my favorite is Ambre Russe.
I am from the EU, thanks for this generous draw!!!

  • Parfum d’Empire is a brand I have no experience with. Immortelle Corse I’d like to win because Marc-Antoine Corticchiato love for his homeland Corsica , and the throwback fell, the oakmoss, the leather, the saffron, and the slight carnal fell all together brought me back 25 years ago. Classic Italian cologne is what I’m thinking right now.
OSMANTHUS INTERDITE eau de parfum I also like to try. Parfum d’Empire description is so nice “surprising apricot and suede notes… their fruity, velvety facets … refreshing tea accord”
    Nice giveaway, USA

I think that their review does a good job of explaining what the fragrance smells like and shows that it can also be versatile depending on the season.
I haven’t tried any fragrances from Parfum d’Empire but I think Wazamba, Equestrius and Cuir Ottoman sound the most intriguing. I’m located in St. Louis, MO

  • Emmanuelle Varron take on Immortelle Corse instantly reminded me of the famous Peach Apricot Saffron Macarons by the master himself, the great Pierre Hermé’s , drinking lemon juice, while sitting on a leather couch and looking at the ocean.
To Emmanuelle, if you’re reading this, i just saw on your Twitter, you were part of Pierre Hermè company at one point, that’s fantastic. I’m a Pastry Chef myself, and he’s such an inspiration for me , my mentor at one point. I was one of his trainees , something I’m truly proud of. Sure it was long time ago, but still those years I’ll never forget.
You may very well know the Peach Apricot Saffron Macarons yourself 🙂
Since I’m new to Parfum d’Empire, by the notes lited alone I presume I’ll enjoy AZIYADE the most. Plums, cardamom, almonds, vanilla = must try fragrance.
Appreciate Emmanuelle Varron , and Michelyn co-review, and the giveaway campaign.

Wow what a lovely post! This review evokes such longing and excitement – a dreamy sense of anticipating a long-awaited summer. It is reminiscent of sun-drenched hills, the freshness of jumping straight into chilly waters, and heated nights filled with memories and mischief. I love the idea that the perfumer was inspired by a chef friend of his to associate ingredients that have the same color together in his compositions, and so the sun soaks through every part of this fragrance – the immortelle, but also the saffron and apricot and lemon. It makes me feel desperate and yet hopeful at the same time!

I have not tried any Parfum D’Empire perfumes but after looking them up, I would most like to try 3 Fleurs – it sounds divine. I live in the US.
