Kajal Homme II Review (Chris Maurice and Rosendo Mateau) 2021 + What to waft when the masks come off draw

Kajal Homme II is the scent of a gentleman

Elegant men like Regé-Jean Page, actor and star of Bridgerton might wear Kajal Homme II Photo via People Magazine

My first encounter with Kajal perfumes was at Esxence 2019 and I quickly became a fan. When I saw the “II” after Kajal Homme II, I thought it might be a flanker of  2005’s Classic Kajal Homme. What they have in common are the perfumers (perfumers Christian Carbonnel aka Chris Maurice (Masque Milano Mandala,  Xerjoff More than Words, to name just two) and Rosendo Mateau, the name and a sense of classic elegance. Kajal Homme II is a completely different fragrance. It is a fresh woody-aromatic EDP  and notes of bergamot, lavender and atlas cedar wood predominate. Even if you are wearing sweatpants and a tee shirt binge watching WWE Raw, Kajal II will olfactively transform a guy into the handsome, smoking hot Duke of Hastings on Bridgerton. Kajal II has great sillage and is sure to be one of your next signature scents especially when your masks come off and its time to wear a suit and socialize again-Michelyn Camen, Editor in Chief

I enjoyed hearing Sebastian comparing this Kajal Homme II with the original Homme. This sounds like a nice refined fragrance that someone older like myself might enjoy. I live in Maryland. I haven’t tried any fragrances from this house. My favorite elegant actor is Pierce Brosnan.

  • Fredrik Andersson says:

I like all Sebastians reviews. He seems very honest in his opinions.
    I live in Sweden.
I own the first Kajal Homme wich I love but that is the only Kajal I have tried yet.
I think George Clooney is very elegant.

  • From Sebastian review it seems like a such pleasant woody sent with fresh opening and light touch of sweetness. I need to try this one somewhere, I think my dad would love this one. I really like watching Sebastian’s videos, he always does amazing job at describing different notes and he makes it comprehensible. Since I started watching more of his videos and trying out more perfumes I can pick up more scent notes and understand what I really like. I am not familiar with Kajal Perfumes.
Thank you for sharing the video and for the draw. I am based in EU

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s thorough review of Kajal Homme II and the detailed comparison between this one and it’s previous one (Homme). I think the new release sounds even more alluring and exciting. I have not tried any Kajal perfumes yet, but I reckon it would be great to have the opportunity to do so! I’m from Alicante, Spain and, in my opinion, Benedict Cumberbatch is a very elegant actor!

  • Great review from Sebastian. I love the original one and I would love to try the new one that inherited the name. The note component sounds right in my alley.
I would love to try this one. Thank you for the generosity. I live I France

  • Khalil Nasir says:

Great review as usual…fresh woody signature scent fragrance. I have Sawlaj and I feel like a boss when I wear it. I live in Durham, NC I can see Denzel Washington wearing this fragrance.

  • Dean here from the US in Minnesota been watching Sebastians reviews for years now and was intrigued by Homme two and how he described the new addition of aromatic elements along with the surprising peach note. He originally turned me on to the original Homme which I now own and it’s still one of the most stunning openings I’ve ever smelled. Favorite actor, I guess if I had to pick one I’d say Robert Redford.

  • Always enjoy those note pics. That zoom-in gets me every time. Huge fan of gentlemanly fragrances, especially with a nice herbal lavender and clove. But that peach nuance is what intrigues me most. Don’t have many fragrances in my collection with a finely blended peach or nectarine. Definitely sounds more like my jam than the original. Like something Zachary Quinto or a young Aaron Eckhart would wear. Both elegant dudes in their own way. Certainly familiar with the brand and I remember reading/watching reviews on Lamar and Joorie right here. But out of all of the options, Homme II would be my pick I think. Elegant, appealing and utilitarian. My kind of fragrance. Canada.

  • Been following sebastian for a while and always appreciate his breakdown of the scent (especially the lavender in this one makes me curious) and how he describes the occasions where you would wear this.
I always wanted to try to get ahold of a decant of the first Kajal Homme but was never really able to get one so sadly I never tried a Kajal fragrance.
And I really like Mads Mikkelsen, amazing actor with great charisma and a special kind of elegance.
    Live in germany.

  • Kajal has been getting a lot of well deserved attention these days, Kajal Homme and Lamar being two of my favorite favorites from the house, I was very pleased to see a different, and what looks like a fresher, and perhaps more versatile take on the original gem and am excited to getting a bottle myself. Also the perfumers Christian Carbonnel and Rosendo Mateu have made some of my favorite perfumes of all time, which really had me excited for this release.

Sebastian did a fantastic job as he usually does conveying the nuances and details of the fragrance. His description and opinions of the scent have really confirmed what I have been suspecting of the fragrance and really has me looking forward to acquiring Kajal Homme II. If you are reading this and haven’t subscribed to Sebastians channel, you really should, his presentations, opinions and informative nature really do inform those that have an interest in perfumes and the industry.

My favorite actor that is elegant is Sir Anthony Hopkins, has always been the epitome of class and elegance in the world of acting and films. I could actually see him wearing some of Kajal’s creations.

    Thank you for reading,
    From, Calgary Alberta Canada

  • Fernando Kaiser says:

I have been following Sebastian’s YouTube channel for more than 2 years. One of the best fragrance reviewers out there. He has a very refined nose. I’d love to get Kajal Homme II.

  • Andrei Artimon says:

Really love kajal homme that i own. Very happy that kajal 2 is totaly different that the original from what Sebastien is saying . Would love to put my nose on this one .

  • Ricardo Ochoa says:

I was literally just looking into this fragrance earlier. I love the way Sebastian compared it to the first Kajal Homme, and I love how he put into perspective of how a crowd will receive it. I just recently started hearing about Kajal and just this morning I was thinking of adding the first Kajal homme to my wardrobe. I live in Illinois and an actor I think is extremely elegant is Gene Kelly. I loved him in Anchors Away.

  • Sounds like a lovely fragrance, I have heard Sebastian talked about the house a couple of times, but haven’t had the chance to try any of the fragrances from Kajal. I think British actor Tom Hiddleston is really elegant and will be a good fit for Kajal Homme II. He’s classic and elegant, but at the same time, very funny, modern, and charming. Just like how Sebastian has described Kajal Homme II, a classic gentleman fragrance, but with a playful sweetness and fruity nuance; a crowd-pleaser that everyone will like, that sounds exactly like Tom Hiddleston.

  • Hello!
I’m so intrigued by the olfactive description of this Kajal perfume. The subtle fruity notes mixed in with the sparkly citrus! What’s not to love ? #ThePerfumeGuy
    Great fragrance review once again
Thank you for this opportunity !
Jean Dujardin, my favorite French actor, legendary.
    Blessings to you from France

  • Sebastian reviews are always on point, loved how he compared the two fragrances. I am looking forward to getting my nose on it because of the added cedar note . I live in the US. Thank you for the giveaway.

  • Jordan Heppell says:

As always I think Sebastian did a great job with his description of the fragrance. I have sampled Kajal Homme and really enjoyed it, looking forward to smelling this one! From Hamilton, Ontario Canada.

  • Who would not like this woody aromatic from a top notch house. Classic elegance fragrances are usually a good balance. Never to sweet, powdery, nor schreechy. I would definitely enjoy trying this one.

  • Alistair Napper says:

I enjoyed Sebastian talking about how the peach lends a fruity sweetness to the fragrance but without being to sweet and how the lavender and cedar wood help to balance the peach in the fragrance. I am from U.K. I have heard of the brand Kajal but never tried their fragrances but they sound great and the presentation is fantastic! An elegant actor for me would have to be Patrick Stewart he always portrays himself as a true gentlemen and is very down to earth.

  • That bottle is beautiful! I would love something to use everyday as a signature like Sebastian mentioned. I’m USA based and have not smelled and of the Kajal fragrances. For an elegant actor (I’m cheating, going with an actress), definitely Gemma Chan. She just radiates elegance.

  • I really enjoy Sebastians thorough reviews. He presents fragrances that many are not familiar with. I appreciate that. I live in NJ and have only sampled Lamar. I hope to own full bottle one day. One elegant actor? Vin Diesel. 🙂

  • Giannis Papadimitriou says:

This sounds lovely! I never tried any fragrances of this brand but i was always curious to try. I would love to win the giveaway and experience this fragrance! I live in Greece, EU. Thanks for the giveaway and the review!

  • I know Sebastian is always very honest so I trust him Kajal Homme II would be great signature scent for me because I love patchouli, peach, lavender and green notes which he mentioned he can smell in this scent. Also I know he is not recommending anything cheap and crap. And I know perfumers behind this scend I love theirs work. I need something classy. I’m from Poland (EU) and sadly I am not familiar with Kajal Perfumes yet!
Which actor I think is elegant? Tom Ellis is everything. Thank u

  • From Sebastian’s review, Kajal Homme II sounds like a fresh composition with sweet and woody tones. Those who like first version of Homme will like this one, too. I am in US.

  • Sebastian’s review was very descriptive which really helps with imagining how the fragrance smells, which is a tough thing to do. I do enjoy a good woody fragrance and am intrigued by how this smells with the green and peach notes! I live in Ireland and I’ve not had the pleasure of filling my nostrils with Kajal’s aromas. Cary Grant oozes elegance.

  • I was pleased to find out Homme II isn’t much at all similar to its older brother, which is the only one I have or tried so far from Kajal. Needless to state, am now fixing to obtain a decant soon! – SLC, Utah

  • I watched Sebastians’s video first then read this intro. I completely agree with Michelyn’s intro. This type of fragrances can make a man smell very handsome even in sweatpants. I have to enter this giveaway. The citrusy woodsy perfume that Sebastian described seems like something my partner would love to have. These are his types of fragrances for sure. I know Kajal and I love their bottles. I still don’t own any though. I love that Sebastian compares it with the the first Kajal Home, since I completely forgot about the notes in that one. I like that the two fragrances are completely different. My favorite actor that I think is very elegant and that should smell like Kajal Home II is Benedict Cumberbatch! I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Wonderfully detailed review by Sebastian on the evolution of the fragrance on skin. Bergamot, lavender and cedar are a classic, elegant combination and the visual of Rege-Jean Page certainly aids in the overall enjoyment of the olfactory experience. I’ve never tried Kajal Perfumes before. Paul Newman is my favorite elegant actor. Commenting from MD, USA.

  • I loved Sebastian’s in-depth review of both fragrances, as Kajal is a house I have never tried. I am from Chicago and my favorite elegant actor is Daniel Craig.

  • Sebastian always does great reviews, and I liked how he praised the fragrance on its own terms. Sebastian was convincing about how well structured and balanced the fragrance is, and how it is of fine quality. He didn’t make it sound like anything pioneering or especially unusual, but rather something that would be wearable, appealing, appropriate for many occasions, and classy. Good job. I live in the US, in North Carolina, and have heard of Kajal perfumes but never tried any. The elegant actor who comes to mind is Dirk Bogarde, who had this incredible way of making those he was performing with seem all the better. Thank you, Kajal, for making the drawing possible. I hope I win.

  • I haven’t yet tried any other fragrance from Kajal besides Lamar, but the review was again very informative and intriguing and I’m definitely looking forward to either winning one or buying one.

  • I like Kayak Homme and I love this is is likely a fresher take on the men. Feels like something a young Pierce Brosnan might wear. I’m in the US.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews, he is very descriptive and detailed without creating confusion. I’m very interested in this house and this fragrance peaks my interest. Indiana USA

  • I always learn so much from Sebastian’s review. The quality and expertise of his content are exquisite. I love the Kajal line though never owed a bottle sampled their fragrances and they smell top notch. Live in Illinois and I think my favorite actor Daniel Craig wearing Kajal. He has a elegance about him, heck he’s James Bond!

  • Would love to try this. Thanks for bringing light to yet another fantastic sounding fragrance. Would love to win the giveaway.

  • I have Kajal Homme and i really want to try homme II.
Sebastian is my favorit Reviewer. I follow him now since 5 years and i never get tired watching his videos.

Kajal is one of the houses that I’ve really wanted to try for some time but haven’t had a chance to. Sebastian’s characterization of Homme II as a signature scent with scent journey that he traced appealed to me. The notes in this offering sound great. Appreciate his review and the opportunity of the giveaway. Best from Virginia, USA!

  • Great review of a fascinating scent. Sebastian did a great job describing how the scent had sweet and green notes on top of the classic gentleman vibe. Unfortunately, haven’t had much experience with Kajal, but have been interested in trying them. When I think elegant actors, I often think of Tom Hiddleston or Daniel Day Lewis. Thank you for offering the giveaway, from Vancouver Canada.

  • I’m from Springfield Ma and I discovered Kajal Homme at the first scent xplore. I enjoyed Sebastians description of Kajal Homme ll, and how much different the two are. My favorite actor that I think was elegant was Sir Sean Connery.

  • Bryant Worley says:

I really appreciated Sebastian’s review – it was nice and thorough, and I appreciated his comparingthe original with the newbie.

I’ve seen many YouTube reviews on Kajal perfumes, but have never tried any (as of yet).

I live in Waldorf, Maryland, USA, and my favorite thespian who I consider to be elegant is Meryl Streep, Her Highness, possibly wearing Yasmina.

  • I’m writing from California, and was very excited to hear Sebastian’s description of Kajal Homme 2 as a green citrus with a woody base and a little fruit. Although I haven’t tried Kajal I’d love to try this one! When it comes to actors that cut a dashing figure in a suit, one of my favorites is always Tony Leung.

  • Sebastian always delivers amazing reviews. I like the way he describes the combination of fresh yet woody at the same time. I also like the fact that it’s totally different from the first, which make it even more enticing. I’ve not tried any from the house but excited to get my nose on them. I’m from California and I think George Clooney would enjoy this one, since he’s masculine and elegant.

  • Sebastian’s reviews all always full of details and I like that he mentions the experience you’ll have with a fragrance not just notes. I live in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I am not familiar with Kajal fragrances yet i’ve heard a lot about them and I am curious to try, especially Kajal II. Favorite actor is
    Matthew McConaughey

  • Cari Mitchell says:

Sebastian is always eloquent, and this review inspires me to want to try it. I would love it! I love citrus and fruity notes. Steve McQueen is the ultimate elegant mans man actor.

  • Miguel Moreno says:

Sebastian is one of the best reviewers. I enjoyed how he clearly described the difference between Kajal Homme I and II. I am nor familiar with this perfume brand, but I’ve heard great reviews. It has great reputation within the fragrance community.
I live in Ontario, Canada. A well known actor that I consider to be elegant is Mr Bradley Cooper.

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

    Hi there
Sebastian review makes the points about the new release, although I keep hearing great things from the kajal house.
I haven’t tested any yet, favorite actor is Jude law.

  • michaeldebree says:

Hello My name is Michael de Bree and I am a Dutch native living in Berlin Germany. The reason I like Sebastian’s review and other reviews is the way he speaks and compares. In this review I like his comparison with the former scent . Sébastien has a certain flair about him that makes you really listen to him and makes you want to try the scents he is speaking of. I do not know if this makes any sense, but he looks like a man that plays the sport Polo. I have never tried or sampled anything of Kajal . But Now I certainly will.
I am drawn most to woody scents so I am sure I will love this . I think Cary Grant is the most stylish actor ever. But from the actors now, I think Henry Cavill and George Clooney are the most stylish. All the best from Berlin.

  • I enjoyed the realness in his thoughts about the fragrance and the breakdown of it. I live in OH, USA. I don’t have a favorite actor but think Leonardo DiCaprio or Idris Elba would be elegant actors.

  • Once again Sebastian puts the honey on our lips. The way he describes perfumes excites you and makes you feel the need to smell them immediately. I would love to try kajal homme II because they are notes to my liking. I think Daniel Craig is very elegant. Greetings from Spain

  • Even I have been confidently pulling off many masculine-leaning fragrances, I respect Sebastian’s classification as a gentlemanly fragrance and consequently envisioning my husband wearing it. Of course, I might steal it from time to time.
An opening with a green and fresh citrusy bouquet is completely up to my alley. Lavender and cedar seem to be the other two prominent notes and are quite typical for the more masculine fragrances. However, I am not a shrinking violet when it comes to lavender, but I have not had enough experience with cedar to confidently predict that I will like or love the fragrance.
I always enjoy how systematically Sebastian reviews fragrances and Kayal Homme II review was not an exception. I loved how he outlined some basic facts and then proceeded with notes breakdown to composition description At the end, he offered his opinion about wearability and compared the fragrance to the original. The review is highly informative and as such a great base to make a decision to explore the fragrance further.
House of Kajal has been on my radar recently, but their bottle has not crossed my path yet. The personalization of elegance on the more populistic spectrum are the James Bond actors. Another type of elegance is embodied by the French actor Vincent Cassel.
Thank you for another great review and a generous draw. Greetings from Slovenia (EU).

  • A great review by Sebastian I am intrigued by aromatic notes and peach note. I am familiar with the house of Kajal Homme. An actor that oozes elegance is my favourite actor Denzel Washington. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

  • I am intrigued by the green notes, wood notes and Patchouli the most. A house that I am familiar with. An actor that personifies elegance is Idris Elba. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • Hello there, I mostly enjoyed about Sebastian’s review that Kajal Homme II seems to be a fresh, spicy lavender/cedar scent – just something I’m looking for at the moment.
I currently live in Germany and I haven’t smelled any Kajal fragrances so far, though I’ve heard great things about them.
One of my favorite actors who could rock this fragrance too I feel is Matthew McConaughey.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. He can make you visualise the scents so well. And he certainly sparked my interest in Kajal Homme II for my son. I have smelled Homme I and enjoyed it a lot. And after Sebastian’s review I will definitely try to get my nose on Homme II. 🙂
I do know the Kajal brand. I enjoy them very much. My favourite is Dahab by Kajal. It reminds me of summer and my favourite fruit – passionfruit. I also enjoy Oriental fragrances a lot. At the moment, Dahab is just a distant dream for me. I always smell it in shops when possible. One day I will own it. 🙂
I live in Estonia (part of the EU).

  • I have tried many from Chris Maurice and I like his style very much. I know him more from the fragrances of Xerjoff, but I am sure he made another great one for this house with Kajal Homme II
    Thanks. Europe.

I don’t have a favourite actor who I think is elegant. If I absolutely have to pick somebody, I’d pick an Estonian actor: Tambet Tuisk.

  • Nikosgate2121 says:

Hello from Chicago. I have smelled kajal homme through samples and it smells wonderful. Now I’m looking forward to smell the new one. It sounds perfect for spring and summer.

  • Just startin my collection. I thinke its sound pretty amazing. The combination of fresh(fruity) and darker smells. With light warm touches. Would love to try rocking this one.

  • Kajal is missing from my collection. Until now, I hadn’t had the chance of owning one, although I know and love them. Fantastic fragrances, so well blended, so good ingredients, smelling expensive and elegant. I actually do not like to classify fragrances according to gender. I wear men fragrances, and I think it is only important how a fragrance makes one feel. I currently live in Romania.

  • I enjoy all Sebastian’s reviews, they’re alert, honest and interesting. This seems like a very posh scent, I would like to win it for my husband 🙂
    I live in Romania, EU.

  • Love woody scents and again as always Sebastian’s review is on point as always. I have not yet tried the previous version but after hearing this review I would love to try Kajal Homme II!! Living in the EU

  • I enjoy very much Sebastian’s reviews,he literaly makes me visualize the fragrances he talks about. And I also love his voice. 🙂
My all time favorite actor is Kevin Costner, I find him very elegant and sexy in every role he played.
I am not familiar with Kajal fragrances ,but I would like to try them.
    I live in UE.

  • Sounds nicely blended and wearable. I haven’t smelled the original. Sadly I can’t fit into my sweatpants at this time. US

  • Zoran Loncarevic says:

As always, a great review, Sabastian. Unfortunately, because of the lockdown, I have not yet been able to test a scent of kajal. But this one sounds fantastic to me . Greetings from Germany

  • I haven´t tried Kajal perfumes, but the Sebastian videos created an interest in this brand. Regarding Kajal Home II, I love a woody citrus scent, so it is a scent that now is in my radar… the green citrusses at the top, the cedar and lavander at heart and the soft woods are a great combo: a crowd pleaser as Sebastian says…My favorite actor, and the elegance in person is Cary Grant…. very far from Regé-Jean Page, but I recognize the charms of some part of his anatomy, ;)… I live in Spain, EU.

  • Sebastian explains the citrus blast and juicy sweetness that is a refreshing open. He points out how it can be a social pleaser and possible signature scent, which sounds great. I like how it finishes with a woody, musk note. One I would absolutely be interested to try, not to mention the beautiful bottle.

  • “Kajal II will olfactively transform a guy into the handsome, smoking hot Duke of Hastings on Bridgerton.”

Well we do have similar jobs, me and Kajal II 🙂
I’m in tailoring business, and that’s exactly my goal when a customer enters the shop .
Like Sebastian said “Very classy, very refined, very gentlemanly”
I tend to believe I’m that type of guy, Kajal Homme II checks all the boxes.
Whoever designer Kajal hired for creating the design of the bottles , he, or she did astonishing work.
I have sample of Dahab I received in a FB group swap. Sweet juicy gourmand done really well . Smells natural to me, which is rare for gourmands.
Thank you Michelyn, Sebastian and Kajal, such a great draw.

  • Thomas J Vaughn says:

I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. I have not been able to try or sample any of the Kajal line, but Homme 2 sounds quite appealing. I’ve always thought Anthony Hopkins to be an “elegant” actor, even when he plays psychotic roles.

  • Thomas J Vaughn says:

I like Sebastian’s reviews and remember a prior video he did on a Kajal fragrance. The notes and structure of Homme 2 sound quite appealing. I have no experience with Kajal fragrances as I live in an area that relies 100% on the internet for niche fragrance experience. When I think or elegant actors, I immediately picture Benjamin Cumberbatch.

    I reside in Alabama.

  • MarkMarkMark678 says:

nfortunately I have no experience with the house of Kajal, I’ve only seen a handful of reviews for this brand, but have never even seen a bottle in person.

Homme ii does sound gorgeous and I can always count on Sebastian for an honest and very descriptive review of fragrances. In fact sometimes Sebastian is so honest it gets him I’m trouble with keyboard warriors, but I’d much rather hear the truth than be sold a bill of goods, thank you Sebastian.

I live just outside of Houston Tx,
And as far as actors being elegant….
I’m not sure, but I really do enjoy watching Denzel Washington films if that counts.

  • I loved that Sebastian’s video not only gave a complete overview of this scent as well as a comparison to the original.

I’d not tried the original so it was incredibly helpful to learn about both from him.

I love the house , I own four bottles with a fifth on the way.

My favourite actor who is elegant is Ian McKellen.

    I’m from Ireland , EU.

  • Thanks for a great comparison, Sebastian. I have yet to try this house. Would love to win the giveaway. Morgan Freeman would totally rock this one (IMHO.) Best regards from Plano, TX.

  • As always Sebastian hits the nail on the head! Loved his comparison between the two and definitely gives the envy to discover those fragrances. Unfortunately I do not know this house but will check them out when time permits. What I most appreciated is that he could relate this perfume as a signature scent which is exactly what I am looking right now. Something that corresponds to your very core. For me, Steve McQueen is the epitome of elegance and class.
    I live in Belgium.

  • I really like the bottle and the overall presentation. I have not tried anything from this house; it would be great to start with Homme II

    Thanks from EU!

  • Andreea Florica says:

Kajal Homme II seems perfect for the upcoming spring and the cool, sunny weather. I think my boyfriend would love this perfume!
I am in Europe. Many thanks for the review and draw!

  • Kajal Homme II sounds 100% unisex. Fresh and clean start , citrusy, woody and musky. The addition of sweetness is making it even more versatile.
“Lady Boss” expression Michelyn used one stuck in my head 🙂 Fits me and Kajal Homme II really well
My sample of Dahab is all I’ve smelled from the house
Nicole Kidman is elegant all the time
    Thank you all
    Cheers from Scotland

  • I hear many great things about the House of Kajal recently and it is fully deserved. Their range of fragrances is superb.
Kajal Homme it is my favorite from the house. A fresher, and perhaps more versatile take on this original gets me excited!

Sebastian does an amazing job as usual. He conveys the nuances and details of the fragrance perfectly.

The most elegant actor that I can think of is Mads Mikkelsen. He has always been the definition of class in the world of acting and films. I would not be surprised to see him wearing Kajal Homme.

    Thanks for the draw.
    Greetings from the UK!

  • This sounds like a winner, Sebastian mentions that you know it smells great, you know you smell great wearing it and people around you like it, too :). Win, win, win!
I looove Assaad Bouab, he looks like suits are being sewn onto him.
Not familiar with Kajal and I live in Eu.

I love how he described the fragrance for a time or place. He seems to describe the mood and best environment for a fragrance the best maybe of any reviewer ! I would love this fragrance ! I always thought Tim Curry was a excellent actor . usa ms here

  • Another fantastic review from Sebastian. I trust his reviews, I find him very informed and his taste in perfume very similar to mine. I especially enjoy the way he is able to ‘decompose’ each fragrance and describe how each note smells and the succession in which the notes appear as the fragrance develops.

I believe that Cary Grand was an extremely elegant actor.

I have not tried any of Kajal’s offerings but I’d love to try this one.

    Greetings from Greece.

  • Hello from sunny Florida! Love how spot-on Sebastian is in every review and the fact that he introduces us, especially during the pandemics, to the new niche brands. I somehow missed his original review of Kajal Homme, but after watching the one on Kajal Homme II I will find and watch it. Based on Sebastian’s description I think Kajal Homme II could become my husband’s signature fragrance! Would love to get a bottle for him and think it would be wearable our climate in South Florida. I find Cary Grant, Sean Connery and George Clooney the most elegant actors, and my husband agrees with me. Thank you for the opportunity to win. Jupiter, Florida, USA

  • I was so impressed by Sebastian review of Kajal Homme here , on Cafleurebon, and also his claims it’s one of the best masculine fragrances on the market .
Sampled it , and bought it a few days after. Spectacular fragrance , must try for everyone.
If Sebastian is describing the other brother as fresh, invigorating, and refined I’ll have to try it.
Higher compliment factor makes Kajal Homme II even more intriguing.
Daniel Craig looks sharp each and every time
    Exciting giveaway , USA

I appreciate Sebastian’s knack for making perfumes approachable. Some reviewers end up getting almost too much into the weeds on minutia. I dont’ have any experience with Kajal perfumes, but I’d love to try this one. For an elegant actor, I’d have to go classic and pick Cary Grant. Located in California.

  • Sebastian is eloquent and concise as always. I appreciate it how he always goes through all the listed notes, yet he makes sure to truly emphasize the identity AND nature of the ones he finds most prominent. In this case, the green citruses and lavender being the stars of the show really help the listener understand what they’re dealing with.
I have not smelled a Kajal Perfume(s) before, even though I have heard many words of praise.
I am in the EU and for me, the epitome of classic male Hollywoodian elegance is Sir Sean Connery. Rarely does one see such class and manliness from youth to a graceful old age.
Cary Grant and Clark Gable also come to mind, and in our times, when chivalry go more and more out of “fashion”, I find that Ryan Gosling carries himself quite well.

  • Sebastian is always so enthusiastic with lavender scents and makes it sound like a really excellent scent. Ive heard of and seen reviews of kajal but never got to try one before. I am in belfast maine.

  • Sadly i am not familiar with the brand. Not available in my country. Elegant actor i would say Chris Pine. After watching Sébastien’s review i want to try both homme I and II. Woody citrus is my thng. Classy refined and gentlemanly what else is there to ask from a mens fragrance?
    I live in Greece Europe

  • concertslover says:

Kajal home II with its green citrusy Bergemot and woodsy dry down sound like a pleasant experience and he claims it’s a signature worthy scent. Love to win this. From USA. Thank you.

  • So classy, so refined, so elegant , i think I can make a statement wearing Kajal Homme II. Sophisticated fragrance at its best.
I know Joorie, because my sister in law owns it, but that’s the only Kajal scent I know. Spicy sweet rose ,with honey. I like it a lot.
Monica Bellucci is both beautiful and elegant
Generous giveaway, thanks to Sebastian and Kajal
USA, and Germany from time to time

  • I enjoy Sebastian’s review like how he explains and breaks down the notes can picture how colognes will smell. Live in Texas, I am not familiar with Kajal Perfumes but definitely want to try them out. And as for elegant and favorite actor I’d have to say Tom Hardy.

  • I love his reviews because its an artist describing artwork. He is so passionate and paints a picture of the experience of the fragrance. Helps when trying out new ones like Kajal Homme II. I live in Cincinnati Ohio. I am not familiar with Kajal. I know who they are but not their scents. I like Leonard DiCaprio after is part in The Great Gatsby is the first actor that comes to mind. Elegant would be an understatement.

  • Michael Prince says:

I enjoyed Sebastian’s Youtube video on Kajal Homme II. I personally haven’t tried either Kajal Homme or Kajal Homme II, but I have heard lots of talk in the fragrance community about them. Sebastian compares and contrasts the Homme II with it’s predecessor. This version sounds fresher with additional citrus in the top which increases it’s versatility. Homme II sounds like an improved version to the original. My favorite actor that I think is elegant is Bradley Cooper. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • Michael Werno says:

I loved Sebastian’s description of the notes and his comparison to Kajal Homme I, I’ve only tried Lamar from this house but it’s great. George Clooney is the quintessential elegant actor. I’m in NY.

  • I always like Sebastian’s reviews. He’s so clear and specific. I have always thought that Cary Grant was the epitome of cool in so many films. I’ve never sampled anything from this house. Many thanks for the great reviews by Michelyn and Sebastian and thanks to Kajal for making this draw possible.

  • Another great review from Sebastian! I know this house has been featured in quite a few articles here on CaFleureBon, but I have yet to try anything from them. Homme II sounds really good as a fragrance to wear in the spring, and also that bottle is real eye-catchy!!
I am in Europe. Thank you!

  • I think his review was good, because he is able to describe the several notes very good and how they work together! Sadly I don’t have any experience with kajal fragrances, but this will change if I win the giveaway :p I’m from Germany 🙂 there’s no actor I like who’s elegant 😀

  • Another great review from Sebastian, I enjoyed the note breakdown and the fact the the lavender is one of the main notes.
This will be a great Fathers day gift imo.
I am from Bulgaria and I haven’t heard of Kajal Perfumes before I watched the review.
I think sir Michael Caine has the elegance to pull off a Kajal Homme II.

  • As always, I loved Sebastians take on a new release! In a short time frame, he always breaks down a fragrance and gives you a great idea on what it smells like. I can imagine the scent of most of the fragrances that he reviews and most of the time when I actually smell the fragrances, they are what I thought they will be! I have a favourite Kajal, as the matter of fact – Homme, the first one. I first sampled and then decanted and I loved every second of wearing it. As for the actor that would suit this fragrance, I’m thinking Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, during the poker scene in Montenegro! I would love to win a bottle, I live in Croatia, EU.

  • Cristea Camelia says:

I would have bet that this perfume is overall sweet and aromatic but it’s not true and Sebastian makes sure that we understand that. I enjoyed the presentation and the parallel made between the Kajal fragrances. I could not say that Leonardo DiCaprio is my favorite actor but he is for sure an elegant man. Also I haven’t tried any Kajal perfumes yet.

  • Claumarchini says:

I haven’t tried anything from Kajal yet, but I keep on reading about them and I am very intrigued by this brand (I’d especially love to try Lamar), let alone the beauty of the bottles! I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews, he explains the fragrances and the notes always in a clear and understandable way and I like when he compares fragrances like in this review and make you understand the differences. I absolutely love the elegance of Eddie Redmayne!!! I am based in the EU

  • Sebastian’s review makes it sound like a very refined and smooth fragrance. It is also made by two great perfumers so my hopes are high. I don’t know a whole lot of actors so I wouldn’t be able to pick one that is particularly elegant. But I would love to wear Kajal Homme II and pretend like I’m rich and classy. I live in Denmark, EU.

  • What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s Youtube review is that he’s always excellent with the notes breakdown, and what they evoke.

    I’m located in Miami,FL, USA

I’m not familiar with Kajal Perfumes. I’ve never smelled them before but I’ve heard about the brand before.

If I had to choose a favorite elegant actor I would choose Ryan Gosling.

  • I liked Sebastian’s description of the fragrance! It sounds like a versatile scent. I’m familiar with Kajal I smelled Lamar once it’s great. I live in Miami, Florida. My favorite elegant actor is Henry Cavill.

  • Anastasiia Novosad says:

I heard now for the first time about this fragrance house! And of course, after Sebastians review I would love to try Kajal Perfumes creations! Sebastian is the best perfume YouTuber over the internet, he explains the scents so so well!
I would like to win Kajal Homme II for my husband as it is woody aromatic scent, exactly how he likes. I like that it is classy and fresh with a bit of fruity sweetness! And I like that it has some spicy scent as well with some sweet touches!
And my husband like to have some patchouli in his perfume as well!
The most elegant actor for me has always been Richard Gere)! I like this actor from the young age and always was amazed of his acting skills!
    Good luck to everyone!!!

  • Thanks Sebastian! I liked the concise review – this sounds like it is a crowd pleaser. I haven’t tried this house out yet, but I will need to soon. Chris Carbonnel is such a prolific perfumer! My favorite elegant actor is Mads Mikkelson. I’m from Canada.

  • Enjoyed the review. I like to the combination of the notes and that this can be Fresh Gentleman’s Signature scent. Also like the added shine to the bottle. Hope I get a chance to try it. Thanks, Ca

  • Always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews because of the way he brings olfactory delights down to earth, without pompous unintelligible jargon. Like the comparison between original and new Kajal Homme perfumes. I haven’t tried any Kajal perfumes, yet. Homme II seems to be an uplifting fragrance, with citrusy notes. While most notes seem mainstream, the inclusion of lavender and citrus and deep earthy notes in base makes it a worth trying perfume. Of course, a big draw is Michelyn’s comment – “Even if you are wearing sweatpants and a tee shirt binge watching WWE Raw, Kajal II will olfactively transform a guy into the handsome, smoking hot Duke of Hastings on Bridgerton.” Wow one hopes so 🙂 Keanu Reeves com

Thanks for the review and the draw. Writing from the USA. (Accidentally, I posted an incomplete comment above, please count only this one).

  • Hey I was not aware of Kajal Homme II existence
Interesting to hear Homme II is a different fragrance, and has nothing to do with original Homme.
Elegant upscale fragrances are always welcome in my world. I’m digging the copper bottle too.
Kajal is underrated house imo . I’ve smelled or sampled all , but Homme II. I would gladly wear all , but one. Yasmina is too indolic for me, with strong jasmine note.
If i have to rate my favorite 3:
1.Kajal Homme , versatile fragrance, pleasing and elegant .
2.Dahab , mouthwatering juicy fragrance. Very different compared to Homme , way more playful.
3.Fiddah, changeling one depending on the weather. When it’s hot it’s sweeter Leather with jelly ranchers , but when it’s cold or raining I get also prominent mix of burning tobacco and ashtray.
Catherine Deneuve and Daniel Craig would be my picks for favorite elegant actors.
    Thanks a lot , all @cafleurebon @theperfumeguy and @Kajalperfumes i already follow
USA only, not for long I hope. I’m not a fan of staying in one place, for a long period of time

  • I appreciated Sebastian’s review of this fragrance for different reasons, e.g. he said, in other words, that this fragrance would be something that someone would want to wear everyday. Also I appreciated how Sebastian described this fragrance. According to the review, this fragrance seems like it would be an enjoyable citrus-woody fragrance with lavender and cedar as the most prominent notes. I want to see what Sebastian is talking about when said that the citrus notes are “green”. I’ve definitely heard of Kajal, but I haven’t tried anything from them yet. I hope that I win this giveaway prize; I live in MD., U.S.A. I am a subscriber to Sebastian’s channel.

  • I loved Sebastian’s take on the fragrance and Michelyn’s note about how the perfume can transform a man. It sounds beautiful. One of my favorites will always be Brad Pitt. Thanks for this opportunity. USA

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always very informative and interesting. I appreciate how he points out how certain notes play on additional notes. I like how he made it notable that this is a completely different fragrance rather than a flanker. I have not sampled anything from this house, yet. This house is at the very top of my wish list, as I am excited to try their perfumes! An actor that I think is elegant is Daniel Craig.

    I live in Hawaii, USA.

  • Such attention to detail is uncommon for $210 fragrance. Copper presentation is second to none, I’m really eager to try it.
I’m a Barber , and i already wear Kajal Homme while working with clients. $185 well spent.
Homme II is a bit more expensive, but for formal occasions, i need upscale fragrances, obviously Sebastian was impressed, price i think is well justified.
Like I said I own Kajal Homme , and I need to explore more .
Bradley Cooper, Benedict Cumberbatch and Daniel Craig always keep it classy and stylish
Exquisite giveaway, thanks to Kajal and Sebastian
    USA

  • I like how he compared it with the original Homme, this seems like a very refined and mature scent that I would enjoy, and I think Mads Mikkelsen would be my favorite actor.
I’ve never tried any perfume from the brand yet but would love to, and I’m from Denmark

  • Fantastic review by Sebastian as always. I wasn’t even aware of this release it was a pleasant surprise. I have only sampled Homme from Kajal and I really liked my 10ml decant. I was ready to pull the trigger but now I feel like I shouldn’t as this new release seems like I would enjoy more. I really like the fact that Homme II is a completely different fragrance – that fresh green woody take is exactly what I have been looking for perfect for the coming months. I’m from the UK and thank you the opportunity, best of luck to everyone else entering

  • It seems like a great fragrance, the day that iam writing this is sunday and it is been really boring.Sebastian review for me seemed like a break from my boring sunday routine,it was relaxing, soothing and very extraordinay(because it was just a fragrance review).I live in Greece.

  • Hi everyone!
I liked Sebastian’s YouTube review because he comparad both Homme and Homme II versions, showing their differences an being very detailed in how Homme II smells (its a freshy, and I love fresh scents!).
I am from Portugal, and Kajal Perfumes is not a brand that I am familiar with (here we have mainly designer fragrances), a favourite actor of mine is Daniel Craig, he represents class and elegance!!

  • Casper Wichmann says:

Good review! Was nice to hear the comparison between Kajal Homme 2 and the original, that has been the only other Kajal fragrance that I’ve tried. However, I really did like Kajal Homme 1.

I think both of them would be fantastic for the Spring weather here in Denmark.

  • I love fresh and gentlemanly fragrances. Citrus notes that are juicy and invigorating are my thing. The tart peach note in the heart sounds joyful. I enjoyed hearing Sebastian’s comparison of the 2 fragrances at the end of the video. I learned about Kajal from Sebastian’s videos.
I think Cary Grant and Humphrey Bogart are two of the most elegant actors I can think of.
    I live in the USA.

  • I love Sebastian videos !! Thanks for comparison between this one and it’s previous one! I love peach note in perfumery.
I have tried only 2 Kajal perfumes- and I love its- especially Dahab.
    USA

  • Great job, Sebastian, as always!!
If be true, I am not familiar with Kajal perfumes, just one time spray on blotter. But I will try all Kajal, because have read so many beautiful reviews, and especially Sebastian video.
For me elegant actor was Alen Delon.
    US

  • Sebastian is one of my favourite YouTube reviewer. He has a very refined nose.
New Kajal Homme 2 sounds amazing – playful sweetness and fruits! If Sebastian find it crowd-pleasant – I must to try it.
I think Pierce Brosnan is elegant.
    US

  • Kajal is a house that’s always fascinated me, especially with their highly elaborate and decorative bottles. It was great to hear Sebastian’s take on Kajal Homme II, how it develops and compares to the original Homme. This fragrance certainly sounds like a great choice for warmer weather. I still have not yet tried anything from Kajal, but I hope to delve into this house’s creations soon. As for elegant actors, George Clooney has always retained that sense.

As always, thanks so much for the chance! I’m in Oregon, US.

  • I like that Sebastian took the time to compare it to the original. Honestly, both sound amazing even though he points out they are quite different. From this house, I’m only familiar with Lamar because everyone has been talking about it. A favorite actor who I think is elegant is Daniel Craig.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the great review as usual Sebastian!

It’s interesting to see that the new one has been released after 6 years. I’m appreciative that Sebasitan gave us some insight into the differences between Kajal Homme 1 and 2.

I have not had a chance to smell a fragrance from thsi house.

An actor who I think is quite elegant is Hugh Grant.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I enjoyed how Sebastian compared and contrasted this fragrance from the original one. While I haven’t smelled the original, I have watched numerous videos on it, so I feel like I understand what it is. I was wondering how this new one differed, and he told us. While I am familiar with the house from videos, I’ve never had the ability to sample any of them. As for elegant actors, Idris Elba always seems sophisticated and manly in every role he has. I live in IL, USA for the giveaway.

  • I’ve never tried this line but those bottles just slay me–so cool! I like the sound of a “woody citrus” and Sebastian does a fantastic job of really giving us a sense of not just how this smells but whether or not it is an easy, wearable vs challenging scent. Thanks to Sebastian for the comparison comments as well. My fave elegant actor is Cary Grant. Even when he was being silly on screen he did it with class. I’m in the US.

  • immortano26 says:

Yes I am familiar with Kajal Perfumes, it is so iconic. As for the review I don’t want to praise Sebastian, because I’ve already dane it several times and I don;t want him to run hight 🙂 Kajal Homme has benn on my mind for a llong time and now after watching Sebastian’s review it will be probably in my mind for long months… I hate it and I love it at the same time. My wallet hates it for sure. As for the elegant actors that might have wear Homme II i can think of two – Idris Elba and Christian Bale. Robert Downay Jr could wear it as well, but his style is a bit more funky. Poland, EU

  • I always watch — and learn from — Sebastian’s reviews. I love contemporary masculine scents that lean in a classic direction. And I’m always looking for things that work for office wear. This sounds like it would fit the bill perfectly. I was not very familiar with Kajal Perfumes before this review. I am in Oklahoma, USA. Thanks for the draw!

  • Uncle1979 says:

Being a Pastry Chef i absolutely love gourmands . After watching Sebastian video of Lamar I was instantly reminded of me making, and eating Vanilla Cake with strawberries and pineapple. I do it almost every day at my bakery. Long story short I now own it .
Homme II is way different, upscale , polished around the edges fragrance , but just like Lamar it’s made for strong minded people.
Michael Fassbender and Gwyneth Paltrow are actors i like , both always dressed well
Appreciate Sebastian review, and the giveaway campaign
    USA

  • Once again, Sebastian with his good taste has made it worth while to test out a new fragrance at a niche boutique near my city. I bought and love Lamar thanks to him. Would love to win this one as well. Tx, USA

  • Sounds amaaaaazing! Sebastian did a great job painting a picture as to what type of fragrance this is and it sounds like he really enjoys this one so I’m very interested. I love the original and having a lighter, fresher, more versatile take on it would be perfect. I cannot wait to try this and winning a bottle would be incredible!

  • gatitonajdi says:

Definitely Kayal never disappoints, I own Dahab, Lamar and Kayal parfum.
I love Sebastians reviews he just explain the fragances very well.

  • Ramsey Abushair says:

Loved the first one as it was a real hitter. Cant wait to get my nose on this fresher version. Here in TX Sebastian and after some terrible power outages nothing would make my day more than a give a way win! Keep putting out quality content my friend
