Editor Sebastian Jara finds Jovoy Private Label to be very masculine. I agree. When I wear it I am reminded of one of the many bar scenes from the series Mad Men… which was set in 1960. Jovoy Private Label is contemporary; it’s neither a clone nor a throwback, although the sillage is strong, reminiscent of men’s fragrances of that time. I smell top shelf booze (amber, vetiver, papyrus-depends what you are drinking), cigarette smoke, the leather of the bar stools and wood paneling. Yes, this is a scent for a modern Don Draper (Peggy Olsen would wear it too). For that matter, any “Girl Boss” would rock this.
