Best American Indie perfume brands

Nearly eleven years ago to the day I began our CaFleureBon Profiles In American Perfumery and on the eve of Independence day. Video Content Steven Gavrielatos and I wanted to highlight three American indie perfume brands we think should get more attention. We chose these three American indie perfume brands- Gallagher Fragrances, Rogue Perfumery and Wit & West because each has their own aesthetic, are artisans, and began in other industries or were doing something else when they decided to become a perfumer. What also is interesting is that Gallagher Fragrances, Rogue Perfumery and Wit & West are husband and wife teams.

Let’s meet the people behind our 3 American indie perfume brands:

Daniel Gallagher of Gallagher Fragrances and his wife Mindy Ruiz live in Texas© Gallagher photo from the Art and Olfaction ceremony

Daniel Gallagher of Gallagher Fragrances and his wife Mindy won the Aftel Award for Handmade Perfume at the Olfaction Award 2022 for Behold Patchouli at the World Perfumery Congress in Miami. Daniel is the perfumer and creative director for the brand and Mindy is the operations manager, mixing batches of perfume, as well as bottling, labelling, and order fulfillment. It was powerful that both came up to the podium and accepted the award. Daniel is an active duty member of the United States Air Force.

Wit & West Perfumes is a Colorado based artisan natural perfumery founded in 2021 by Whitney Swales and her husband Rob (West, short for Rob’s last name, Westendorf). Wit & West is a passion-based business, paying homage to traditional methods of artisan perfumery using an all-natural palette.

Manuel Cross of Rogue Perfume is one of the best indie artisan perfumers

Manuel Cross and June

Manuel Cross of Rogue Perfumery never planned to become a perfumer, although he was a collector of vintage fragrances. He began his journey while he was a chef and worked along sides notable culinary stars like Wolfgang Puck.  It was during this time he met his wife June, who assists him with labeling, pouring, packing and shipping and keeping the “Rogue” focused. ROGUE PERFUMERY IS 100 PERCENT IFRA COMPIANT AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN. They live in East Idaho.

Steven Gavrielatos and I chose the fragrances to review for the 3 American indie perfume brands you should be wearing;

Gallagher Fragrances Wicked Good (you can see this in Steven’s Best chocolate video.)  Wicked Good features just three ingredients: chocolate, Madagascar vanilla, and Tonka. It was launched as a limited edition but became so popular that it was released on a large scale.

Rogue Perfumery Derviche II which was beautifully reviewed by Senior Editor Karl Topham has notes Citrus, Mediterranean Herbs, IncenseAgar Wood, Sugared Fruits, AmberVanillaMusk.

Brumaire Woods by Wit & West is a modern take on the fougere genre with natural lavender, thyme, neroli, mint, tobacco and oakmoss.

  • AleksCipri says:

Huge Congratulations to Gallagher Fragrances for this years award! They really deserve it. I am very familiar with their brand and Wicked Good is my favorite and I do own a full bottle. I also love Rogue and own a couple bottles. I do not own Derviche II but it is on my wish list, its an amazing fragrance. I found most interesting reading (and listening in Steven’s video) about the Wit & West, because I have never even heard about this brand. I am from Illinois US and I’d love to win Derviche II because it is amazing, and my second choice would be Brumaire. I have to order Wit & West sample pack and discover this whole fragrance house. I love that indie brands in the US are so strong ands so creative. I hope to discover many more interesting brands.

  • I enjoyed Michelyn‘s introduction to the brands. I’m familiar with Rouge and Gallagher but Wit& West are new to me. Very informative. Steven’s descriptions of fragrances never disappoint. I’ve heard great things about Gallagher especially Mist Of Time.

  • Danny Gordon says:

I would like to try all three because the video and article has sparked my interest in American perfumery which I never knew about.

  • Thank you Michelyn and Steven for your introduction of 3 Indie Fragrance houses. I’m familiar with all 3. Wit & West have wonderful Fragrances, I own a bottle. Gallagher I have samples and would be interested in and Rouge Perfumery sounds interesting. Love to learn and explore new Fragrances. Thank you for this Chance USA

This is a great initiative to highlight some American brands doing the most to make us smell good and feel good about ourselves. Happy 4th.

  • CherylAnne says:

I loved the article. I definitely want to support American brands and these three companies sound great. I’ve heard of Wicked Good by Gallagher before but the other two companies are new to me. I love a good perfume and am especially happy that these husband/wife teams are going after their dreams. Thanks for the information and Happy Fourth of July to everyone!!!

  • Larry Holt says:

Liked on Facebook! I would love to try the Rogue, or Wicked Good. I’m new to Texas and have mostly cold weather scents!

  • I enjoyed learning about these amazing scents and notes based on Michelyn’s introduction and Steven’s reviews. I would like to win 50 ml of Wicked Good because I love chocolate. I live in Poland, EU. I’m only familiar with Rogue Perfumery.

  • I think it’s pretty cool Manuel Cross was actually a very skilled chef with a passion for fragrances and had the courage to follow a different path and create his own fragrances. If I had to choose I would have to go with Gallagher Fragrance’s Wicked Good. That literally sounds delicious, and I’m hungry right now, haha. Thanks everyone for the giveaway I wish I could own all three. Maybe someday…

  • It’s gratifying seeing the passion these people have for creating new and exciting perfumes. It’s a tough business to get noticed in and I applaud their vision and perseverance. I’ve ordered from Rogue before, although I didn’t receive Derviche II. I remember reading about Wit and West in a previous CaFleureBon post and Gallagher is brand new to me. I’m eligible for all three offerings and I would be delighted to receive any of them.

I’m in MD, USA. Liked Profiles on FB.

  • Michelyn & Steven!!! ❤️❤️❤️ What a fantastic review!!! ❤️❤️ Rogue is a huge favorite in our home and we Love the work that Manny & June have brought into the world for all of us to enjoy! I hope everyone is lucky enough to own a Rogue fragrance at some point! I’m excited to experience Gallagher Fragrances (especially after hearing such a heartfelt acceptance speech for the Aftel award). Wit & West I must try as well! ❤️
I really loved learning from Michelyn how these American perfume houses are truly partnerships (often a business rests on so much “hidden” work from a partner – how brilliant to see the care & contributions in these relationships). Steven’s wonderful descriptions and note breakdowns are always the tops! Thank you for a fantastic opportunity!! ❤️ USA
If I were a lucky winner, my husband & I must go with our favs, I would be delighted with a bottle of Derviche II.

  • I enjoyed knowing from Michelyn the reasons she chose the three brands. Liked hearing the notes named in the video. I would be happy to win any of the three I qualify for. US

  • recordsbyrach says:

Wicked GOOD! a chocolate lovers’ fragrance. With the introduction, its calling my name! Can’t wait to try thisss. Thank you! From Canada!

  • BostonScentGuy says:

Really enjoyed hearing about the partners who help support or who are part of the business models of these perfumers! Congrats to Gallagher for winning the award this year! All of these sound good (and I’m familiar with the first Derviche, though I understand it’s totally different in its second iteration), but I loved hearing about Brumaire Woods in Steven’s review, as I love a good fougere, and this one sounds great! Thanks so much for the generous draw. I’d love to win any of these, in particular, Brumaire Woods. I’m in the US.

  • I love chocolate and gourmandish perfumes, so Gallagher’s Wicked Good is my choice, thanks, from EU!

    Hello from Croatia, EU.

  • Great to hear that the independent perfumery scene is so well developed and interesting in the US. Congratulations to the Aftel award winners Gallagher Fragrances. It’s great that all the three photos feature couples, I appreciate giving credit to women’s role in creating these perfumes. Steven makes a great and informative. video, as usual. All three perfumes sound wonderful, but I would most like to win the Rouge perfumery Derviche II.

  • Rogue Perfumery Derviche II which was beautifully reviewed by Senior Editor Karl Topham has notes Citrus, Mediterranean Herbs, Incense, Agar Wood, Sugared Fruits, Amber, Vanilla, Musk. I am intrigued by the notes in Rogue Derviche 11.I was not aware of Wit and West. I have liked CaFleureBon Profiles in American Perfumery Facebook page. If I am lucky to win I would love to win Rogue Derviche II. Thanks a million from the UK

  • Rogue Perfumery Derviche II which was beautifully reviewed by Senior Editor Karl Topham has notes Citrus, Mediterranean Herbs, Incense, Agar Wood, Sugared Fruits, Amber, Vanilla, Musk. I would love to win Rogue Derviche II because of the notes especially Incense, Agar Wood and Vanilla. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • I recently bought a Gallagher sample set and really liked wicked good, plus behold patchouli and a few others, but finding out her is active military has put his fragrance about top of the list right now. God bless him on this 4th of July. I truly appreciate him and his family, and their perfume. I would pick wicked good should I win. In maryland.

  • So interesting to see three family brands shown here! Thanks Michelyn for the intros, and Stephen for sparking my interest in even MORE fragrances and brands! I always have a longer wish list after watching your videos. I am dying to try Derviche II (or anything by Rogue), and I also love chocolate and vanilla fragrances so I would love to smell Wicked Good as well. Thank you for the giveaway, writing from the EU.

  • jobescents says:

Did not know that not only are these 3 American-based brands, but also examples of husband-wife collaborations. Very inspiring to see. Thanks Michelyn! And although I don’t care to wear anything that smells like chocolate, Steven makes Wicked Good sound mighty appealing! Should I win, I’d select Derviche 2, because I’ve long heard great things about it. I live in Pennsylvania.

  • Thanks for the video review by Steve & article.
To my taste and perfume notes, WIT & WEST Brumaire Woods is right up my alley. Thanks for your generosity but I can’t participate being from the third country Pakistan. Good luck to all.

  • Felix Gagne says:

Hi! I’m from Canada and I think all of these fragrances sound so interesting. I have mostly heard about Gallagher Fragrances and Rogue as brands but I would like to try them because they seem to have incredible quality, unique scents but still smell incredibly good. Wicked Good seems like a very dark and gourmand fragrance and I just love it. I love chocolate notes in perfumery when they’re not over sweetened. Derviche II looks like my kind of ambery fruity oud fragrance and just checking the video and reading the article I kind of salivate! And Brumaire Woods seems like an amazing high end twist on a fougere and I love a good fougere.

  • Giorgia295 says:

I’m always so curios about Rogue Parfumery, love the description and the bottle so arr deco styled. i have tested same fragrances also from Gallagher but I would be pleased to maybe win one of the two.
I would to enter the giveaway of rogue and Gallaghar
    Greetings from Italy

  • I enjoyed knowing that all three brand are husband and wife teams. But one I’m the most curious about is Gallager fragrances, I have been hearing so much good about his fragrances. Moreover I’m so happy for them for winning this year art & olfaction award. From EU – France.

  • Starlit12 says:

I appreciated Michelyn’s introduction about the start of CFB articles about indie American perfumery, as well as her brief presentation of the houses that were talked about in this review and Steven’s video.
Steven also described them beautifully and also spoke briefly about their owners, which only makes it feel more intimate.
Wicked Good sounds delicious with its chocolate and tonka bean combo, while Derviche sounds equally appealing with its creamy gourmand ambery aromas, as Steven described it.
I would love to win either of the two and I write from the EU.
I also liked the Cafleurebon Profiles in American Perfumery page on Facebook.

All three perfumes sound wonderful but i am most interested in wicked good.

  • RiccardoC says:

I love Rogue Perfumery and I am really happy Derviche II made in this list!I liked how Michelyn highlighted the story behind the brands and Steven got into the notes.
I know well Manuel Cross’s work, as I already have Mousse Illuminee and Bon Monsieur.
I would like to enter for Derviche II, as I love Manuel style.

    Liked you on Facebook!!!

    Riccardo, Italy EU

  • From Michelyn’s introduction, it was interesting to learn that all three profiled perfumers are husband and wife teams and that they started in other fields. These profiles are important as otherwise one loses a human connection with the products one buys and uses. Steven’s video reviews are always spot on. I would be thrilled to win any of these three – I am in the USA so eligible for all, though I am intrigued by Derviche II. I have liked Facebook Cafleurebon Profiles in American Perfumery. Unfortunately no experience with any of the profiled perfumers. From USA.

  • Thanks for the introduction Michelyn and thank you Steven for the reviews! 3 incredible fragrance from 3 incredible perfumers!

American perfumery certainly has become more and more popular. The smaller Indie houses have shown America has some great talent!

Rogue Perfumery is my favourite American House. Mousse Illuminee is incredible and am planning to order Bon Monsieur very soon. If I were lucky enough to win, I would choose Derviche II!

    Greetings from the UK!

  • Its good to know that Indie perfumery is very alive in the U.S. and having these amazing representations makes me feel so proud. I love Gallagher parfums, the one I have tried is Among Waves and it blew my mind. I hope to try Rogue Perfumery and Wit and West soon.
What I loved about this article was the story that each of these creators have and how they started. It must have been such a journey for them.
I would like to win Wicked Good.

Thanks for the great writeup Michelyn and reviewSteven!

It was really wonderful to see that all of these brands are husband and wife teams. I have heard of them before and have even spoken to some of the perfumers, but I cannot imagine how I missed this fact.

I would like to win either Brumaire Woods or Wicked Good! I love the idea of a fougere with tobacco and mint in it and would love to give it a try. Similiarly with Wicked Good, I want to explore the chocolate note in perfumery more.

Also huge congratulations to Gallagher Fragrances!

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I have heard of these three American indie brands but I didn’t know they were made cup of husband & wife teams for all three brands. I also learnt Manuel Cross was a chef before pursuing perfumery. Steven was really excited about these three brands and I appreciate Michelyn and Steven for highlighting these brands.
If I win, I will like Wicked Good because I have been eyeing Gallagher perfumes and looking forward to try the discovery set or atleast a few samples from this house.
I have not tried any of the fragrances from these three brands but I have heard about them online.
    Maryland, US.

  • I am aware of Gallagher Fragrances, Rogue Perfumery, and Wit & West; however, I’ve never tried anything from Wit & West. It’s very interesting that all three of these fragrance houses are run by husband and wife duos. I am a big fan of Gallagher Fragrances and have tried many of them. My favorites are Rose All Dae, Behold Patchouli, Wicked Good, Evergreen Dream, and Carpe Cafe. I enjoyed Rogue’s newest release, Rostracto. Steven mentioned they’re from Idaho Falls and I had no idea! I have been there a couple of times in the past. The way Steven described Derviche II makes me want to try this one as I love gourmands, as well. Although I haven’t tested anything from Wit & West, Miki Mochi sounds quite intriguing. I would love to win a bottle of Gallagher Wicked Good or Rogue Perfumery Derviche II. I am located in the USA. I also liked the CaFleureBon Profiles in American Perfumery page on Facebook. Thank you to Michelyn, Steven, and the brands for the giveaways.

  • I’m only familiar with Rogue Perfumery and I’d really love to try Wicked Good. I find it very interesting that it features just three ingredients: chocolate, Madagascar vanilla and Tonka and that it was was launched as a limited edition but became so popular that it was released on a large scale. Good for us perfume lovers!
I’d also like to try Derviche II.

  • I am head over heels in love with the description of Gallagher Fragrances Wicked Good!!! It sounds like such an incredible gourmand!!!! If I am one of your winners, it will definitely be my first choice!
    I live in the USA.

  • Thanks Michelyn for introducing these 3 American indie perfume brands. I love Rogue and everything that Manuel Cross does but the other two, Wit & West and Gallagher are new to me. It is an interesting coincidence that all of them are husband and wife teams. Congrats to Gallagher Fragrances for this year handmade award. Steven’s descriptions of 3 fragrances are as clear and straight to the point as ever. Wicked Good is a great gourmand vanilla/chocolate one. Derviche II is an amazing creamy amber with floral touches. Wit & West Brumaire Woods is a modern and awsome smoky fougere with great mint touches with 100 natural ingredients. I would like to win 1) Derviche II or 2) Wicked Good. I live in Spain, EU

  • I really enjoyed learning about these 3 indie brands from America. From Michelyn’s review I learned that Manuel Cross used to be a chef before starting the company, which I found to be interesting. from Steven’s review, I learned about Wit & West as a house, which I hadn’t heard of before. Now that I have, I’m excited to learn more about that particular house. I would like to win Wicked Good from Gallagher Fragrances. I’ve CaFleureBon Profiles in American Perfumery on Facebook.

  • NituNicolae says:

Redolessence is always what I consider to be a “father figure” in the world of fragrances. He always teaches us new thing and interesting notions. Out of the spoken about fragrances, if I were to be so lucky I would want to win 50 ml bottle of Rogue Perfumery Derviche II. Sexy ambery gourmands are what make up most of my collection. EU.

  • I loved learning about these 3 different couples and their perfumes. They all live such different lives, yet all are perfumers. Interesting! I would like to win any and all of them! I don’t have any chocolatey scents or fougeres, and would love to add some variety to my fragrance wardrobe. And Daviche II just sounds amazing. I am in the US and have liked this post on Facebook.

  • Love supporting American indies! I have yet to try any of these lines (sample fatigue) but these have all been contenders. As a gourmand fiend, Wicked Good sounds super appealing, but I am also very intrigued by the stewed fruit notes in Derviche II. I appreciate how Steven didn’t discuss just these scents but their respective lines as well. His description of Brumaire Woods has me interested in that one, too. I enjoy subtly smokey perfumes and the idea of it alongside mint and lavender is really selling me. I would like to be entered for all three! I am from New England, USA.

  • Christos GX says:

All the fragrances seem amazing from the analises of the reviews, those fragrances deserve to be more known to the public. For me, i would prefer Wicked Good just because i love the trifecta of chocolate, vanilla and tonka. I liked the Facebook page. I live in Greece, EU.

  • redwheelbarrow says:

Loved Michelyn’s introduction to the couples at the heart of these brands. Also, loved learning that Mr. Cross was a chef! Also, Steven’s reviews are always great! I have a hard time choosing between Derviche II and Wicked Good because they are both amazing fragrances. But forced to choose, I think I’d select Wicked Good.

  • Ian andrews says:

I’d love to win the rogue bottle. I like some of his other offerings. I live in Indiana

  • Steven’s review & Michelyn’s introduction made Gallagher’s Wicked Good sound interesting. Steven describing the notes with chocolate sound good and learning that Daniel Gallagher is an active duty U.S. Airforce member makes me already a fan of the house. God bless our troops! Greetings from Los Angeles, CA USA.

  • Bryant Worley says:

Michelyn’s Introduction was very informative, giving us good highlights. Steven’s reviews were excellent, with just enough enthusiasm to whet my desire for all 3. The one I want most, though, is Brumaire Woods, as I can get behind a fragrance with tobacco, lavender, and mint. Second would be Derviche II because I definitely like a good Amber scent. Lastly, would be Wicked Good.

I don’t know why, but I’ve never gotten around to sampling from these brands.

I live in Waldorf, Maryland, USA.

  • It’s funny you profiled Gallagher Fragrances today, because I was just looking at a listing for Behold, Patchouli yesterday evening. Wicked Good sounds a little sweet for me, but also really fun for a cold winter evening. I also appreciate that it’s such a focused perfume. I have a sample of Derviche II that I’ll need to pull out tomorrow; it’s a complex fragrance that I’m still wrapping my head around. I love a good fougère—especially dark, smoky ones—but I’m particularly intrigued by the minty opening in Brumaire Woods that Steven mentioned in his video. I also like another fougère tobacco hybrid I’ve tried, so I suspect I’ll enjoy this one as well, especially considering it’s one Steven speaks of so highly. Thanks for the reviews, video, and the giveaway!

I’m in the midwest, USA. I’d love to win all three of these, but I’m most interested in Brumaire Woods, because fougères are my most worn type of fragrance and I haven’t had a chance to try this one yet. Thanks!

  • wandering_nose says:

I am very grateful for this learning. Haven’t known that all 3 of those artisan brands are wife and husband teams, and it was so heartwarming to find out about that. People say living together and working together is a big no-no but those amazing couples prove otherwise with a bang! I love how Michelyn listed what each party is responsible for in all three businesses. Steven once again delivers in terms of his amazing concise summaries of the three fragrances plus mentions of other hits from each of the brands. I have been aware of Gallagher Perfumes and Rogue Perfumery and their amazing, unapologetically natural creations. I am based in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, EU and my choice would be Wicked Wood – thank you so much for the giveaway!

  • It’s interesting that Michelyn emphasizes that Rogue is IFRA-compliant; I got quite a different impression from what I’d read before. Also, how fascinating that Daniel Gallagher is active in the Armed Forces– not typical for a perfumer, I would expect! And it was interesting to hear Steven’s reasons for picking these particular scents to highlight. I’d be happy with any of the prizes, but Derviche II above all. I have a Rogue sampler set, and I can’t get enough of those Derviches. I have a sample of Wicked Good also, and had heard of Wit & West through ÇaFleureBon.
I liked CaFleureBon Profiles in American Perfumery on Facebook, as “Maren McConnell”. (USA)

  • These are great picks! I’ve tried samples from Wit and West before and their fragrances are definitely different with very interesting composition! Good longevity for natural perfumes. I’ve heard about Gallagher for quite some time too now and have been longing after Wicked Good (yum!) near the top of my list. Rogue is also another indie perfumer I’ve heard of too, and Steven makes Derviche II sound so good (love ambers!)

I live in the USA. I’d like to enter the drawing for all three of the fragrances. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • kirisekiib says:

Great introduction! so glad that independent perfumery seems to be on the rise. Always love the creativity behind them.
I am only familiar with Gallagher Fragrances but have tried just one from the house. I have heard many good things about the house so I would like to win Wicked Good. It sounds right up my alley!
    I’m from the EU.

  • Steven’s take on indie perfumes are always full of great information, and the same is true for his review of these. It was very interesting to learn how these perfumers got their starts. I am familiar with Rogue and Gallagher, but not with Wit and West.
I also liked this story on Facebook.
I would like to win Derviche II, so I can compare it to the original.
    NV, USA.

  • Enjoyed this quick I intro to these Houses. I’ve tried A few Gallagher fragrances and haven’t tried anything from Rogue or Wit yet.
I’d go with either Wicked Good or Derviche .
    Thanks, Ca

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved learning about all 3 Indie Brands. I’m very familiar with all the fragrances from Gallagher Perfumes and love all of their offerings to include the gourmand masterpiece Wicked Good. I’ve heard good things about Rogue Perfumery and the brilliance on Manuel Cross with his Chef background and Derviche II sounds phenominal. Wit & West perfumed by Whitney Swales is a brand I just learned about today, but I like the sound of modern fougere Brumaire Woods she created. I liked CaFleureBon Profiles in American Perfumery on Facebook. I would like to win Gallagher Perfumes Wicked Good, Rogue Perfumery Derviche II, and Wit & West Brumaire Woods. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • petergigov says:

Gallagher Fragrances , I know a few from the house, but not Wicked Good , must try , premium chocolate fragrance.
Rogue Perfumery Derviche II, it sweet, smoky, inviting and with high compliment factor.I like the parity between the rock candy’s smell , and the incense.I would wear Derviche II when I’m going out, or on a date.I also remember Karl Topham called it a conquering fragrance,
Wit & West I never heard of , Brumaire Woods i think is quality fougere, more suited for the Fall.
I’m so 50/50 on Wicked Good and Derviche II , both smell awesome, both compliment getters.
Winning one , or the other would be fantastic
    Exciting giveaway, USA

  • Uncle1979 says:

Being a Pastry Chef, and die hard gourmand lover , I’m interested in Rostracto II and Wicked Good.
Gallagher Fragrances do have some great gourmands , Rose All Dae for example is in my possession. Chocolate Ganache Cake is what I imagined after reading about Wicked Good.
Rogue Perfumery sample set is now in my possession , and I’m impressed.
Derviche II remins me of Crème Anglaise Cake , with Macerated in Bourbon Berries, Sone Fruits, and Powdered Sugar .
Brumaire Woods by Wit & West I don’t know , it’s a good fragrance if both Michelyn and Steven like it, but as a Pastry Chef I’m always looking for a sweeter scents.
Out of Rostracto II and Wicked Good , I’d slightly prefer Wicked Good just because of the chocolate.
Appreciate the introduction, the reviews , and the giveaway campaign

  • Regis Monkton says:

I’ve heard of all three companies, but, out of the three, I’ve only tried fragrances from Rogue Perfumery (“Mousse Illuminee” is one of my favorite fragrances). I’d like to be entered for “Brumaire Woods” and “Wicked Good”. “Brumaire Woods” is my top choice because I love fougeres, and I like the notes which are listed for it. I appreciate Michelyn’s insight into these three companies. I appreciate Steven’s description of each of the fragrances. I live in the U.S.A.

  • 2 gourmands? Come on guys , I’m on a low-carb diet….
It’s kind of funny that I do like chocolate fragrances, but I’ve never smelled Wicked Good. Quite alluring, modern take on chocolate fragrance.
Wow Derviche II also sounds really good , smooth fragrance with sugared fruits and candies, and long lasting incense .
With Wicked Good and Derviche II i can tell my husband, – start the fireplace, the night is ours.
Wit & West I have no experience with
Wicked Good would be my first choice
    Thanks for the draw

  • All of these perfumes sounds very good from the base of the review. I would like to chose 50 ml of Wicked Good and 50 ml bottle of Rogue Perfumery Derviche II. I’m following CaFleureBon Profiles in American Perfumery on Facebook. Thank you for the draw. I live in Europe.

I’m impressed by Manuel Cros and Daniel Gallagher life journeys , I truly am. Whitney Swales and Wit & West I’ll have to explore too , but I admire people who know what they want in life, and most importantly how to achieve their goals . Being independent nowadays is admirable.
Rogue Perfumery Vetifleur and Rostracto i tried, really nice fragrances, but Rostracto is smoother and more refined, with a bit temperamental character.
In Derviche II I like way the sweetness, woods and the incense are complimenting each other.
From Gallagher Fragrances I only know Amongst Waves , Wicked Good is sophisticated gourmand.
I wish i was able to win both Derviche II and Wicked Good, but if I should choose one, it would be Wicked Good.
Thanks to Manuel Cros , Daniel Gallagher , Whitney Swales , and of course to Michelyn and Steven

After all the positive attention Rogue Perfumery received last 2 years, I had to buy the official sample set from their own website.I love Derviche II , the macerated fruits and the Cherry Liqueur , received my 50ml bottle last month.
Wit & West is new to me , I’ll look if they sell sample sets.
I’m going with Wicked Good today , eating chocolate is one of my guilty pleasures , and I like Amongst Waves

I know it a rather small pond, but at least in the fragrance community you could say that
Gallagher Fragrances and Rogue Perfumery are well known, but I have to admit I know little to nothing about Wit &West. It nice learning about Brumaire Woods.
I’m familiar with all Gallagher Fragrances, including discontinued ones and his side project
    Pearlescent Parfums .
If I have to rate my favorite ones available on the market right now:
    1. Rosé All Day
    2. Carpe Cafe , the second, reworked version. Limited edition, but I believe it’s still available
    3. Wicked Good
In my opinion Wicked Good is almost gooey gourmand, and at least i perceive a strong boozy note
If i can include the discontinued Gallagher Fragrances, my favorite 3 would be:
    1. Rosé All Day
    2. Original Carpe Cafe
    3. Peaches and Campfire , unfortunately my bottle was stolen from me. Daniel said he do not have plans to bring the fragrance back.Flame & Fortune Sarah Baker
Is a decent substitute, not not the same.
If I have to rate my favorite Rogue Perfumery fragrances:
    1. Derviche
    3. Derviche II
    3. Tabac Vert/Rostracto
Original Derviche and Tabac Vert i own
Derviche II is fruity, effervescent , with ambery base , but I wouldn’t call it gourmand
If I win , I’d prefer Wicked Good
I don’t have a Facebook account, but all profiles I already follow on Instagram , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

  • From Michelyn’s introduction, I am glad to hear about all these American perfumers and brands. Interesting how Manuel Cross started as a chef before working on Rogue Perfumery! From Steven’s review, Wicked Good’s chocolate and patchouli sound so good! Love the review. I have not tried these brands. I would like to enter all three of Wicked Good, Rogue Perfumery Derviche II, and Wit & West Brumaire Woods since they all sound so great! I have liked on Facebook and I live in the USA.
