Wild Spirit Fragrances (sister brand to Raw Spirit) Debuts at Walmart: Mainstream Eco-Friendly Perfumes

Wild Spirtit Fragrances at Walmart

I have a very soft spot in my scented heart for Joyce Lanigan, the CEO and co-founder of RAW SPIRIT, on several levels. I can’t forget how she graciously shared her wifi at Esxence 2016.  I also was fortunate to feature Harry Fremont, Master Perfumer of IFF in our Profiles in American Perfumery series. Mr. Fremont composed many of NOMAD/ RAW SPIRIT fragrances, which are based on indigenous Australian ingredients. They aren’t complex fragrances but they are truly authentic and also donate a portion of their proceeds to charity. From Australia to America, the next project for Joyce Lanigan and Russell James is a sister brand Wild Spirit Fragrances which are sold at Walmart as of July 14 and online June 20 wildspiritfragrances.com and walmart.com

IMG models Ashley Moore (@ashley_moore), Victoria Germyn (@victoriagermyn), Laura James (@jameslaura), and Eva Adams (@mevadams).

There are four scents in the Wild Spirit Fragrance collection: “Spring Jasmine”, “Driftwood”, “Chill” and “First Snow”.  All of the scents were created by MANE perfumers and seem to be targeted to the millennial market (although the press release states16-45) and are represented by the personalities of IMG models Ashley Moore (@ashley_moore), Victoria Germyn (@victoriagermyn), Laura James (@jameslaura), and Eva Adams (@mevadams). Each bottle was designed by Russell James and features the diverse personalities and ethnicities of the influencers.

Wild Spirit Fragrances Spring Jasmine is cheeky and cute… a petally white floral creation highlighted by a dominant creamy jasmine signature and enhanced with specialty tea notes. (Ralf Schwieger and Alexis Grugeon perfumers)

Wild Spirit Driftwood

Driftwood – Fresh & Airy…inspired by fallen trees, sundrenched and salted, on a white sound beach surrounded by lush vegetation and tropical florals. (Gino Percontino)

Wild Spirit Fragrances Chill is for those who are Free-Spirited & Bohemian. “warm, creamy woods that are contrasted with fresh, airy accents to reflect the radiance of a golden beach sunset on a crisp day”. (Patricia Choux and Jim Krivda perfumers)

First Snow– Empowered & Fierc-. Inspired by a unique contrast of crisp aromatic notes and black pepper combined with a rick smoldering woody effect, highlighted with signature Bushman Candle. (Vincent Kuczinski, perfumer)

All Wild Spirit Fragrances “are made with real ingredients at real prices. Wild Spirit Fragrances are vegan, contain natural essential oils, cruelty free and formulated in the USA. They are designed to be worn alone or layered. 30 ml bottles are $24.98 each and the rollerballs come in a set of four at $14.98

Laura Buntain, senior buyer, Walmart Beauty, “We are beyond thrilled to bring our 140 million customers this line of eco-conscious, luxurious fragrances at an incredible value.”

An idea whose time has come!  Best of Luck!

Heading to Walmart to try out Chill. Thank you for featuring these new scents, it’s nice to hear about products that are available in this price range@

Thanks for bringing these fragrances to my attention. They sound great and definitely fit within my limited budget. I will give them a test when i am in Walmart.

This is great!! A step up from those horrid ‘body sprays’ the teens like (including my own teen). I will point these out next time we go to Walmart. I may even try one. Chill or Driftwood appeals to me. The only thing that would make it better for me would be a spray instead of rollerball. Thanks for the heads up.

  • My daughter will be all over Spring jasmine. I showed her this article and she’s going back to school and wants to layer it with chill.
My wife thinks wild spirit driftwood suits her
Daughter 17 wife rather not tell her age

  • These look really cute. I am all for getting the younger generation into fragrance! And not always via the traditional department store method.

Thank you for letting us know about these fragrances! I am way past the targeted age group of 16-45, but a scent is a scent no matter what age, right?
What attracts me the most about the brand, is that they are “cruelty free.” I am hesitant to go into a discussion about this for obvious reasons, but I am seeing more of this trend emerging and I am all for it. There are alternative ways to make a lasting fragrance and the creatives are making strides. I will dress accordingly to my trip to Walmart (please be laughing!) to check out a set of four rollerballs if they have them, as I am all for supporting this brand that also donates to charities. Bravo!
