  • I am happy to see two fragrances that I most associate with my children: Midnight Fleur (which my daughter wears) and A*Men (proudly owned by my son). I am also not surprised to see the Nest line awarded for its exquisite packaging…those bottles are breathtakingly beautiful!!

  • Did Nicki Minaj seriously get nominated for best packaging? I’m having a hard time with that one. But one of my favorites this winter was L’Ambre Des Merveilles so I’m quite happy to see that on the list.

  • I am surprised and thankful that Dot by Marc Jacobs didn’t get a nod for best packaging. My pic for best women’s frag (Mohur by Neela Vermeire) didn’t make the cut. My fav in the list is also Hermes L’Ambre de Merveilles but longevity on me is quite dismal. Tom Ford’s Cafe Rose is on my list of “To Test”.

  • I wish to try that Annick Goutal, love pine and looooove that bottle.
Best packaging, Pink Friday? Alrighty then.
I’ve never liked A*men nor have I liked much of any Mugler scents.

  • I cannot believe So Elixir was nominated — one of the most godawful things I have ever smelled: a cross between grape juice, cough medicine and paint stripper. Though there were loads of creative, memorable perfumes in the niche category in 2012 — Neela Vermeire’s, Andy Tauer’s, Luckyscent’s Decennials and many others.

  • Mariekel
The fragrances you listed fall under the indie fifis
    Kilian amber oud won that
The criterion is by number of stores and of course you have to nominate yourself to be considered
Trayee was nominated for indie but alas did not win
The niche and artisan market is about 4percent of the entire industry sales

  • Strange that Amber Oud won that category. I thought it totally unremarkable myself (though I adore Incense Oud), esp. compared to others in that category.

Still can’t get over that So Elixir, though. It is ghastly.
