The Zodiac
Alexandra Balahoutis, the renowned botanical perfumer behind Strange Invisible Perfumes, has made the once limited edition, Perfumes of the Zodiac part of the permanent offerings- for anyone who finds psychological and spiritual relevance in astrology, this is very exciting news! Alexandra's approach to the formulation is not typical; partnering with Mindy Green (a clinical aromatherapist with three decades of experience)- they are more than perfume and light-years beyond aromatherapy. Every composition is engineered to enhance and balance.
There is benefit to everyone to being aware of which sign we are currently in- regardless of your own sun sign, for all are influenced by the entirety of the Zodiac. With that in mind, here are the current and upcoming winter signs:

SAGITTARIUS: “The Rolling Stone” November 22 – December 21
Winter Connection-New Fallen Snow
Sagittarians are truth seekers, although whose truth may be of some debate. A fiery element whose goal is to seek out the unknown and to serve their thirst for knowledge. Frustration may be found with inability to travel to the exotic in the demands of modern life. Opening with lime, heated by neroli, Strange Invisible Perfume Sagittarius is bright and cheerful. The heart is cypress softened bay leaf, still maintaining the freshness until finally giving way to a familiar honeycomb aroma- much like beeswax candles which burn a citrus/floral wick. Sagittarians will find ancient wisdom carried by cypress, the exotic in bay leaf and completely quelled in the presence of the lime offering an appreciation of the comforts of home within neroli and honeycomb.

CAPRICORN: “The Force to be Reckoned With” December 22 – January 19
WINTER CONNECTION- Respite from the Cold
Capricorn has been called the least approachable of the Zodiac. Being both goat and fish- a symbol which suggests knowledge beyond it's earthly element. The duality inherent in Capricorn is stubborn commitment to an idea or cause, even to their own detriment, yet being fluid enough to allow new ideas to filter through their keen intelligence. The balancing act provided here is one of the sensuality of iris, jasmine and vanilla, keeping the cliffs a Capricorn will climb more accessible, while cognac and frankincense provide deep water of introspection which a Capricorn needs in order to succeed in their inherently grand material world schemes.The opening is a sensual play of iris and jasmine- which is slowly warmed and sweetened by vanilla. This interplay of uplifting floral notes and grounding base notes perfectly displays Capricorn's dual nature.

AQUARIUS: “The Rebel With a Cause” January 20 – February 18
Winter Connection: Signs of Spring emerge
Aquarius is the charming, quirky friend who will launch a plan to save the world, secretly stockpiling gasoline to burn it down (whichever way works to affect change is not so important provided the job gets done.) Their thought process is among the most alien in the Zodiac. Reigning-in the thought process of an Aquarian into something utilitarian and streamlined is the mission of rosemary and lavender, while frankincense and sage may help to purge the Water-Bearer of negative emotions. Rosemary and lavender tinged with neroli sooth and focus in the opening, while frankincense and white sage keep Aquarius grounded and somewhat austere. These are more common ingredients for a very uncommon mind.

All twelve botanical zodiac fragrances are somewhat lighter and more sheer than other SIP Perfumes as they were created by Ms. Balahoutis to stand on their own, to blend together to create a custom scent. A suggestion may be to layer your sun, moon and rising signs to address detrimental positioning or enjoy the benefits of the current sun sign as each influences your own natal chart. .
