What is a vintage perfume?  Experts’ answers vary, (but we can tell you that the first batch number of CREED Aventus 2010 does not qualify as vintage). Generally most perfumers, critics and historians agree that a vintage perfume is more than 30 years old.  To claim this month’s spilled perfume match the ÇaFleureBon Editors and Contributors with their favorite Vintage Perfume.

BE SURE TO INDICATE AT LEAST TWO PERFUMES YOU WOULD LIKE TO WIN, INCLUDING ONE NATURAL PERFUME (COUNTRY RESTRICTIONS) IN YOUR COMMENT, JUST IN CASE YOU DO WIN.  If no one guesses correctly, the draw is random and don't complain if you don't get exactly what you want or you by might be forced to wear an awful generic fruity floral  Justin Bieber’s Someday which smells worse than the raw eggs he threw at his neighbor’s home. Your guess must include the name of the editor or contributor, i.e, David Falsberg favorite vintage perfume is and the name of the scent we chose as our favorite, to be eligible. If you would like your comment to count twice, include your choice for best vintage perfume.   Draw ends October 10, 2014

My favorite vintage perfume is the first edition of YSL Opium. I still have half of a small bottle edt from end 70’s/ early ’80’s and it’s very potent (and soapy as well!). Very different from the versions nowadays. I try to use it sparingly.

My choices are April Aromatics Calling all Angels and Aether Arts Incense Indica. I live in the Netherlands.
