Scenting Sofitel: L’Artisan Parfumeur Offers More Than a Room with a View

Sofitel at Water Tower, Chicago

Sofitel announced its global partnership with L’Artisan Parfumeur to create twelve fragrances with evocative names that will be diffused in Sofitel branded hotels: Mimosa Marin, Cèdre Bleu, Mûre Sauvage, Thé et Pain d’Epices, Intérieur Figuier, Tilleuls au Vent, L’Ambre, Rose des Indes, Ile Bourbon and Bois d’Orient.

The So SPA locations will be scented with Jatamansi, an organic fragrance composed exclusively of essential oils, featuring this mysterious plant that grows in the most remote valleys of the Himalayas. Finally, "Parfum de Feuilles" will waft through So FIT locations like the breeze from a window opening into a garden.

Soon, guests will experience the warm, dry woods of Cèdre Bleu at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower (United States), the refreshing Mimosa Marin at the Sofitel Marseille Vieux Port (France), the summery calm of Intérieur Figuier at the Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah (Egypt) and the spicy accent of Bois d’Orient at the Sofitel Shanghai Sheshan (China).

Sofitel Marseille Vieux Port will waft Mimosa Marin

More than half of the hotels in the network have already chosen their signature scent, and the entire network will be "checking -in" by the end of 2011. The fragrances will  waft at Sofitel hotels in the form of interior fragrances and scented candles, and they will also be diffused using Air Aroma's cold-air diffusion technology.

Editor’s Note: The Sofitel in NY is one of my favorites in the city.. what will it waft?

  • The Sofitel Hotels, have always been a favorite of mine. Now as an added incentive, they will be diffused  with,"cold air technology" and they will have the scent of exotic plants and places world wide. How exciting!
Thank you for bringing this to my attention….Another wonderful feature of Cafleure Bon….keeping us in the know.

  • What a perfect pairing!  Beautiful hotels with beautiful fragrances. .  What a great idea to pair each scent fitting to the unique flavor of the location of the hotel.  My friend is visiting China in May and is in the middle of making her travel arrangements.  I will be certain to let her know to look into the Sofitel Shanghai.  Hopefully she can bring me back a little of Shangai by way of L'artisan.
