Ormonde Jayne Montabaco Review + Sophisticated Tobacco Fragrance Draw

Linda Pilkington and Geza Schoen on the Orient Express 2012 via Ormonde Jayne©

The creative and original ideas that form Ormonde Jayne have all developed from Linda Pilkington’s passion for travel. On Friday October 29, 2012 aboard the Orient Express, Linda Pilkington, founder, perfumer and creative director of Ormonde Jayne launched “The Four Corners of the Earth”, a quartet of perfumes which pays homage to the different parts of the world that have inspired her and acknowledge the rich diversity of  Linda's hometown, London (Geza Schoen is the perfumer in collaboration with Linda Pilkington for all four in the series: Qi, Tsarina, Nawab de Oudh and Montabaco).  According to my Interview with Linda Pilkington, “Montabaco is a perfume to capture the essence of Latin America: leather, suede, wood and tobacco leaf repeated over and over again creating a suggestive sensuality and Latin temperament. It sits above the rich floral presence of magnolia, jasmine and rose. It is all unashamedly seductive yet profoundly simpatico'.

Marriage Italian Style:  Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren

For me, Ormonde Jayne Montabaco is a sensual and elegant fragrance where tobacco leaf is blended seamlessly with airy notes and spices, not heavy or overbearing. You wear this fragrance it doesn’t wear you. I imagine actors Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren when I spray on  Ormonde Jayne Montabaco. Perhaps no two actors had such inimitable range, class and style together, which matches this perfume perfectly. Over the weekend I went to a Holiday party and my boyfriend and I decided to wear Ormonde Jayne Montabaco (we usually don’t do that as tobacco fragrances can skew very masculine on me) We were stopped by both men and women the entire night. What. Are. You. Wearing.

I love all of Sebastian’s reviews, and this one was no exception. Informative, to the point, and of course you can see his passion and knowledge about fragrances. Absolutely the best Youtube fragrance reviewer out there. The only Ormonde Jayne fragrance I’ve smelt is of course my favorite, which is Santal Nabatea. I’d like to win this bottle because I absolutely LOVE tobacco fragrances and wear them all the time. Herod, Naxos, London, Red Tobacco, The Dreamer, Tobacco Oud, I love them all, so an elegant “airy” tobacco sounds right up my alley. Would love to try it out! Alabama, USA.

  • This review speaks so highly of this fragrance, I would be chuffed to win this.
A fave from the house for me is Orris Noir. US

  • Ivan.napoleon says:

Sebastián s review perfect as usual and Id Love To try this one.
    I love tobacco fragances.
Love this ” Ormonde Jayne Montabaco is a sensual and elegant fragrance where tobacco leaf is blended seamlessly with airy notes and spices, not heavy or overbearing”
    Miami Florida Thanks

  • I’ve yet to find a tobacco fragrance that agrees with me. It’s too heavy on my skin. But, Sebastian’s description and the listed notes make me believe they should smoothen the tobacco quite a bit. Curious to smell it on my skin.

  • I enjoy wearing tobacco fragrances. And if Sebastian says it’s sexy….I’m all in for trying Ormonde Jayne’s perfume. I’m curious about the air note. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! USA

  • middleagedandmixed says:

I haven’t tried everything from the house of Ormonde Jayne, but Tolu was love at first sniff for me, so I suppose that is my current favorite. I had ordered a few samples and enjoy them all and would love to try more especially Montabaco as I’m a huge fan of tobacco fragrances, and I am intrigued by what Sebastian describes as an “airy” tobacco. Also, I would agree with him that this house is classy and elegant.

  • I tried man from this house and didn’t like it, tried ambre Royale, it was ok but didn’t grab me to spend that much on a bottle. Haven’t tried tried this one yet. Head performance is kinda iffy so don’t wanna blind buy. Would love to win this. Great review, as always Seb

  • I just love how Ormonde Jayne goes right out and says, ISO-E Super! Nobody else disclosed that! I appreciate the great detail in how Sebastian describes not only the notes, but an evolution of the fragrance in his reviews. I have never tried a perfume from this house but his review makes me think of Reflection Man crosses with the original D&G pour Homme. Although, I imagine the tobacco in this fragrance is much more aromatic and defined. I would be thrilled to have Montobaco in my collection, as I love fresh tobacco and florals. The presentation is also very classy! Great review!

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

I liked Sebastian review of montabaco, because he did not say that the scent could be heavy but rather sounds on the crisp side, And Geza Schoen is one of my top favorites perfume creators, but I must admit that I have not tried montabaco, and that’s why I would be happy to try it out.
    Merry Christmas and happy Hanukkah.

  • Andrew Parker says:

I love Sebastians description of the classiest tobacco fragrance on the market. Ive been DYING to get my nose on the corners of the Earth collection! Please help a law school student/fragrance obsessive person out.

    Thanks so much

  • Steve Sturgill says:

I love Sebastian’s passionate and detailed presentation style plus his very professional graphics, sound and camera work all serving to enhance the slick look and feel of his reviews. Ormonde Jayne has been on my radar thanks largely to Sebastian and I love tobacco scents like crazy! I also love class and British brands tend to exemplify such characteristics! I hope I win!

  • I’ve been a subscribers of Sebastian’s channel for over a year now. His review on this particular fragrance, as with all of his reviews, are very informative and the passion for fragrances is obviously deep rooted. I havent experienced any fragrances from the Ormonde Jayne house, however, this particular fragrance sounds great. I’m a huge fan of both floral and tobacco based fragrances. Crossing fingers that I’m the lucky winner of what sounds like a gem.

  • Great review from Sebastian as always. Sadly but i didn’t tried anything from this house yet. I’ve heard a lot of nice things about Montabaco in some other reviews or from friends of mine who own bottles or decants and also i do like the pyramid notes a lot. Tobacco fragrances are my favourites, for example Herod is a beauty. I would love to try this fragrance so thanks for the chance.

  • More than anything I enjoyed his review because he is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to fragrances. Also, he is a very personable reviewer that comes off as very trustworthy and absolutely willing to go out of their way to help anyone. I subbed him as soon as I heard his first review.

  • I love how sabastian brings the fragrance to life with his review I would really love to try it as I love tabaco Scents and this house is a house I have my eye on but have not yet been able to try any of they’re fragrances.

  • RobertNicolasB says:

Another great review from Sebastian. I love how he described the floral notes adding complexity to the tobacco in the base. Sounds incredibly delicious! I’ve been wearing a lot of Herod this Fall and my love for tobacco based fragrances has me exploring new possibilities. I would love to get my nose on the Fourth Corner of the Earth and appreciate the opportunity.

  • I really like Sebastian’s description of this fragrance being light and airy, probably due to the ISO-E super, which I’m a huge fan of and I’m sure Geza Schön is as well. I have not yet had the chance to try an Ormonde Jayne fragrance, so I would very much appreciate the opportunity to try one of the best from the house. I’m a bit limited in my experience with tobacco fragrances in that I’ve only recently starting wearing tobacco in the form of Parfum de Marly’s Herod. As a side-note, I occasionally layer Herod with Molecule 01, so I’m curious if this combination bears any semblance to the airy-ness of Montabaco.

Pretty much anything I’ve tried from Geza Schön has been bottle-worthy, so I have no doubt that this one will be an amazing addition to my collection.

  • Ormonde Jayne is classy fragrance. I did purchased WOMAN during blackfriday blind buying and I’m in loved with it, the Jasmin note got me hooked now. Splendid amazing scent for a woman.
Tulo is another one that I love. Looking forward for my samples to arrive.

While watching a review with Sebastian Jara, so excited to smell and even own Montanaco, hopefully I get picked. I always refer his reviews and even drop a short message recommendation through Instagram before buying. I do trust his pick though lol.

    Goodluck Everyone.

Thank you Ormonde Jayne . Happy Holidays.

  • I just bought Ormonde Jayne Tsarina and it is the most expensive perfume I own and it’s gorgeous I wear tabac blond so I know I would love this fragrance Montebaco. I always come to Cafleurebon and to Sebastian for great reviews and didn’t know about the orient express
Can I have Marcello if I win
Best of luck and I will order a sample from indigo or Osme soon either way

  • I’m new to Sebastian’s reviews, but I’m loving them so far! I’m not familiar with Ormonde Jayne, and I am excited to learn more, especially since the notes in Montabaco are in my wheelhouse!

  • catbeaulieu@gmai says:

Absolutely love how Sebastian describes this as an elegant, classy scent that can be worn every day. Love the idea of Iso E Super at the base of a tobacco fragrance. Also like that there is a floral element but that it does not linger too much. I love tobacco perfumes and cannot wait to try one that is easy to wear every day. I have a sample of Back to Black by Kilian and I really like it but it’s more of a “beast mode” for me and heavy on the honey/fruit- I would love to try something more wearable, yet very memorable!

  • Just Add Light says:

Tobacco is my favourite fragrance note of all-time, HANDS DOWN. So there is definitely room for more tobacco scents in my collection. Everything from dry and earthy to wet, sweet and musty, I simply can’t get enough if it. And that’s coming from a non-smoker! But it’s Sebastian’s description of the CLASSINESS and floral nature that makes me want this fragrance BAD; not to mention the fact that Ormonde Man is the only one I’ve smelled from this house (ps – I really enjoy the spiciness of that one). All my other tobaccos tend to go toward the rich, heavy and boozy side; but an airy tobacco with florals??? Count me in. DEFINITELY.

  • Jesse Hernandez says:

Sebastian always does a tremendous job with his reviews. His passion and enthusiasm really shine through when he is impressed by something and i can tell with no doubt that he really means it when he says he loves this fragrance. I love the way he described the transition from top to bottom and emphasized the hi-lites of his experience with this scent @ each stage. Ive not yet been fortunate enough to get my nose on an ormonde jayne fragrance but wpuld lobe.for this to be my first.

  • doowtnehpets says:

I enjoy Sebastian’s passion for fragrances, here specifically his description. I actually ordered a sample set of the house and a lot of them, even unisex, are sometimes too floral for me to wear comfortably and regularly, though I did like most of them. I actually liked the Ormonde Woman best out of the ones in the sample set I tried. I want to win because I love tobacco fragrances and the note breakdown sounds great here.

  • Ooohhh man…Sebastian made this fragrance seem absolutely exquisite. To put it simply, my interest for tobacco fragrances has been growing upon recently experiencing Masque Milano’s “Montecristo”, and I would love to try Montabco from Ormonde Jayne as well.

  • I enjoyed hearing about the four fragrances in this line. I love tobacco scents. These are the three OJs that I’ve tried:
    Zizan
    Tolu
    Frangipan Absolute

  • fazalcheema says:

I agree with Sebastian that ‘light’ is the correct word to describe Ormonde Jayne fragrances. Even when the theme is dark, the perfume still has light elements to make the dark aspects from turning too extreme. My fav. from Ormonde Jayne is Nawab of Oudh. I am in US.

  • I really love this fragrance! I recently got a sample set from ormand jane and this one was definitely one that stood out to me. I think sebastian did a wonderful job at describing it. As far as ormande jane goes the only ones I liked more than this is ta’if and nawab of oudh. I like how this one has a very unique niche smell but still stays ver mass appealing. I hope to try more from this house soon. Thanks for the giveaway and keep up the good work. I am from the us in AZ.

  • Haven’t had the opportunity yet to try any of the Ormande Jayne’s. However this one would most likely be my favorite from the description. Love a good tobacco and this sounds just spectacular. Sebastian did a wonderful job of laying out the breakdown of top, middle and base and how one transitions to the next. Well done.

  • Sebastian is a great and knowledgeable reviewer. His scent descriptions are detailed and interesting. I would love to win a bottle of Ormandy Jayne because that would be a perfect Christmas gift for me. I have only tried Ormand Man from this house and I liked it. I love Tabacco scents so I will like that one for sure.

  • Sebastian tells it like it is and his descriptions are not far off from how it smells. He puts humor in all his videos. Montabaco marries that sexy tobacco with airy, oriental complexes that took me forever to find. I have been looking for a signature scent forever. I love that it is both masculine and feminine, tough and soft. This would be my new signature scent for ever!

  • Sebastian intrigued me with his description of Montabaco. I love the idea of the florals in the heart of this tobacco fragrance. I’ve yet to try anything from Ormande Jayne but would be thrilled to get my nose around this one.

  • I love Sebastian reviews, it’s so informative, so well designed, he starts off with the notes and the concentration and the pricing, it’s like you are really there!! I haven’t had a chance to try any Ormonde Jayne perfumes but they sound really classy and good. But I’m guessing Montabaco would be my fav because I like tobacco notes in a perfume. I would love to win this perfume because it would be the first from this house and am going to gift it to my father , his birthday is in 3 weeks. Thank you.
    I’m from California USA

  • After reading the reviews, Sebastian is always keen to test the scent. In this case, the smell of tobacco is all the more intriguing. Great review, thank you for the opportunity to win a perfume bottle.

  • Sebastian always has such consistency helpful and informative reviews. I really thought a tobacco fragrance would be heavy and deep but this one sounds so good with the airiness and floral heart weaving into the tobacco base. I’ve never tried anything from this house but my interest is definitely piqued, it sounds like something I’d enjoy! Thanks for the giveaway and I live in the USA.

  • saadfragrance says:

I never win but please enter me in the giveaway who knows when i might get lucky . Anyways my favourite from oj is montobacco and second is taif. I absolutely love the way sebastian described the classiness of the scent it does feel and smell very upscale. From the u.s.a please do enter me in the giveaway

  • I love this review, thank you Sebastian! I’m especially excited by the air and aromatic top, combined with what he describes as a significant floral heart, then morphing down into the classic base of tobacco leaf, suede and ambergris. I agree with Sebastian’s opinion that Ormonde Jayne is one of the classiest and sophisticated houses out there. I have and love Ta’if, Sampaquita, Frangipane, and Orris Noir. I love tobacco fragrances as well, my favorites being Tabac Blond and Diptique’s Volutes. Thanks for the draw I’d be thrilled to win! I live in Maryland, in the U.S.A.

  • Kyle Stevens says:

Montabaco seems like an interesting fragrance. I do love tobacco fragrances. Sebastian is awesome!

  • Classy and sexy! If Sebastians review was that, then this is one I would love to own. He is one of the best you tubers around and know of what he speaks. I have never tried this house, but since I love tobacco based fragrances this will be on my to have list. Thank you guys for the chance to own this beauty in a bottle.
    U.S.A.

  • doveskylark says:

This one sounds like it could be a signature scent! I keep hearing good things about Ormonde Jayne. The words I hear are always elegance, class, sophistication. I think the ambergris note sounds intriguing. I have always loved tobacco scents, especially vintage Tabac Blond.
    I live in the USA.

  • Lara Anderson says:

Having a great deal of experience with Ormonde Jayne fragrances, I can attest to the overall classiness yet wearability of their work. I adore Tolu and am excited to try Montabaco. Am a huge fan of tobacco scents as well as I find them incredibly comforting. Thank you for the wonderful review as I liked the way he described the floral notes interacting beautifully with the deeper base notes. I’m in the US.

  • Excellent review from Sebastian on the Montabaco fragrance. I have never heard of the House up until his review but the scent sounds divine. I hope I can get my nose on that fragrance one day. I live in Folsom. CA USA.

  • Sebastians reviews and not good for my CC …
Tobacco and floral with woody base, sexy and classy at the same time? I need a sample asap.
At the moment i do not own any Ormonde Jayne fragrances.I had Tolu back in late 2014 -it was a gift from mom , but unfortunately for a short period of time , because my younger cousin broke the bottle – dropped it from the second floor of the house.Barely used like .. ~10ml of this gem…max before this happen. Her being 16 back then was the thing that saved fer from my wrath Lol.
For all the readers of the great blog-if you’re not familiar with Tolu , and you’re into fragrances do yourself a favour , and go sample Tolu – FE-NO-ME-NAL scent.
Sure i like tobacco scents – i do wear Serge Lutens Chergui right now.
    Cheers from VA

  • I’m intrigued because in the video Sebastian says it’s the classiest and sexiest tobacco fragrance he’s put his nose on. I’ve never smelled an Oramonde Jayne fragrance, which is exactly why I would like to win this bottle. Plus I love tobacco scents, my favorite is Herod. Cheers from Indiana, USA.

  • I really value Sebastian’s taste – he’s never steered me wrong. I really enjoy a nice tobacco fragrance and only own one unfortunately and it’s more of a spring fragrance. Here’s a list of reasons of why I’d like to win a bottle of Montabaco: 🙂
    1. I love the sound of these notes blended together – just magical.
    2. I desperately need a tobacco fragrance for the cold weather.
    3. I need a classy fragrance to reach for on fancy date nights.
    4. I LOVE cardamom – it’s my favorite note.
    5. This fragrance is Sebastian approved.
Thank you for the opportunity! Arkansas

  • I love tobacco fragrances and enjoyed Sebastian’s description of the fragrance. I have been wearing back to black and another tobacco scent would be a keeper. I love vanille de Iris. Thanks for the chance to win. I live in California.

  • Well this does sound like an amazing scent. I am a big fan of tobacco scents so this is right up my alley. Another great video from Sebastian as well. Please enter me for the giveaway.

  • Another great review from Sebastian, I must say! He knows when a fragrance is good and this is no exception. I love when he said that Montabaco is a classy and sexy tobacco scent. What was interesting, too, is an air note and tobacco combination. I’d love to win Ormonde Jayne’s Montabaco. Thanks for this opportunity. – California, USA

  • I really enjoyed Sebastian’s review- very beautiful, simple, but informative.
I have sample of this perfume and must test it again for compare with Sebastian description. As Sebastian said- I want to feel fresh air opening, floral heart and tobacco-woody base.
    I like Ormond Man.
I like tobacco perfumes, but when they not so heavy and wet.
    US

  • Definitely loved the descriptiveness of Sebastian’s video this go around. I would like to win a bottle because my wife loves tobacco scents on my skin and this is one that I’ve heard many good things about. Thanks for the chance to win. I’m from North Carolina.

  • I always Enjoy Sebastian’s videos. He is one of the best in the Fragrance World. Don’t have much experience with Ormonde Jayne fragrances. This one sounds good and I’d like to try it. Sounds like a nicely blended elegant Parfum. Thanks for the giveaway. U.S

  • I would love to win this giveaway as I love tobacco scents. I have never personally tried anything from the house. I love how Sebastian is able to dissect the notes into such great detail. Great review and thank you for the giveaway.

  • Sebastian always turns me on to the best fragrances. This stuff sounds wonderful. Hard to imagine a light aromatic and yet complex tobacco scent. I’ll definitely have to get my nose on this one. And I haven’t heard much of Ormonde Jayne so I’ll have to look into some more of their perfumes.

  • troybrenny1 says:

Sebastian gives you so much information that you can almost smell the fragrance. Herod is currently my go tyo Tobacco fragrance but wiould love to see if this could dethrone it. I’m in Tennessee U.S.A

  • As always, I enjoyed Sebastian’s laidback reviewing style; he gives the same enthusiasm to each perfume he enjoys no matter the price point. I have not tried an Ormonde Jayne fragrance but this elegant perfume sounds beautiful. I am in the US and I appreciate the chance.

  • I always love the specificity of Sebastian’s reviews. Tolu is the only Ormonde Jayne fragrance I have ever tried. This sounds wonderful but if not on me, then on a friend. Thanks for the draw. I’m in the USA

  • Sebastian nails it with his comments about this fragrance. I have tried a sample of this and it is excellent! It Also is my favorite of the line. I would love to win because it would be a great addition to my collection.

  • Troy Bornman says:

I always watch Sebastian’s reviews and love tobacco fragrances, i love his description of the florals here and how they blend. Have not experience Ormond Jayne yet and would love to

  • I loved sebastian’s review with helping me understand how classy this fragrance is.His reviews always cover the major accords and help me understand unique niche fragrances.

I love fragrances that are light, yet present and may begin to love this brand. I have not smelled a ormond Jayne fragrance , but hope to soon. This would be much better than Bentley intense, I think.

So I would love to have a ultra class fragrance in my collection and would love to try this brand. Thank you for your work and generosity. I am a us resident.

  • I have very little experience with this house. Montabac sounds lovely, especially for a leather and tabac lover. Very informative review, Sebastian! I wonder how does Montabac compare to the classical tabac fragrances around.

    USA

  • I haven’t tried any Ormande Jayne fragrances, but I’ve always wanted to. My favorite tobacco fragrance is Fumerie Turque, which is a lot heavier than Montabaco sounds. I’d love to give this one a sniff. Thanks for the great reviews and the giveaway! I’m a US resident.

  • Greetings! What interests me the most about the review is the sheer excitement that Sebastian exudes when reviewing anything from this house . I credit him for most of my purchases and not only that but introducing rare gems and top quality offerings in the niche fragrance industry to folks like me where it’s almost impossible to get our hands on . Being a uniformed service member there aren’t a lot of notes that would well suit my profession oespecially when I dawn my Class A uniform , tobacco offerings are what attract me the most as it compliments my entire ensemble . I recently heard on tedtalks how the sense of smell is the most subjective of all 5 senses we have and how it paints a very specific picture for the person experiencing it and from what I have heard from people experiencing this house especially how Sebastian is reacting to this gem excites me I have no doubt in my mind that this will topple my current favorites ( tabarome milliseme , back to black and Tobacco Oud ) I certainly wish to enter this giveaway !! Good luck to everyone entering this giveaway ( fingers crossed, hope Christmas comes early lol )
    Cheers!

  • jeffdickstein says:

Sebastian can not hide his enthusiasm for the perfumes he truly likes and this is no exception. I have only sniffed this once and like all Ormonde Jayne scnets it is fantastic.

  • Sebastian gives such a thorough and detailed review that makes you want to buy everything he recommends. He keeps mentioning this fragrance being classy and elegant. He compared to Roja and I also enjoyed their Creation E.

Favourite tobacco ones are Herod and Naxos. I haven’t tried Ormonde Jayne’s fragrances and would like to have a chance to try Montabaco.Fingers crossed!

    I’m in California.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews! And the notes in this fragrance are so complex. There are so many notes I enjoy like Bergamot, Cardamom, Rose, Violet, Tea Notes, Tobacco Leaf, Sandalwood, and, Tonka. I’ve never owned any Ormonde Jane fragrances but have quite a few on my wishlist. This one will definitely be added to that list!
    I live in the USA

  • Sebastian always do his job perfectly. Very interesting, informative description, and I liked his enthusiasm.
As I imagine after Sebastian video- this perfume are very elegant, masculine tobacco-woody-green perfume with big amount of E Iso Super.
But I hope Montabaco has not like Molecule style.
I like Ormond Jane Nawab al Oudh.
    US

  • I’m such a huge fan of Linda Pilkington for her “I won’t reformulate any of my fragrances , pls don’t buy if you don’t want to” type of policy.Applauses and high praise to her.
“Montabaco is a perfume to capture the essence of Latin America: leather, suede, wood and tobacco leaf repeated over and over again creating a suggestive sensuality and Latin temperament. It sits above the rich floral presence of magnolia, jasmine and rose. It is all unashamedly seductive yet profoundly simpatico’.”
Ok-you got my attention big time. Now i’m about to watch Sebastians review.
Aromatic and citrucy ,fresh and herbal start with cardamom .Floral in the base blended the right way with the dark base, with classy tobacco, woody, suede leather and amber .This is a must sample fragrance.
I do own Frangipani Made to Measure in 50% concentation in custom bottle , and i feel like i own a bespoke perfume.
Pure parfum versions they called Made to Measure. In UK you can get not all,but some of Ormonde Jayne fragrances in 40% concentration , and if you want to have cream della cream you can get … 50% …YES …. FIFTY % concentration.
Also Tolu is in my wish-list for the winter-love it.
Unfortunately US customers can not buy Made to Measure line-for now at least.I sincerely hope Ormonde Jayne will do something about this. It’s about time .Europerfumes and Ormonde Jayne – pls make it happen.

Thank you Linda Pilkington , Ormonde Jayne and CaFleurebon for this draw , and Sebastian for the nice review.
I do follow all of you on Instagram @cafleurebon, @ookfeelsmellgreat, @ormondejayne, and @official_europerfumes

  • Sebastian’s videos, and reviews never disappoint. I love how passionate,
and detailed he is with those reviews of his, so much so, I can almost picture the fragrance by just his description alone. That being said, his video really made me want to put my nose on Ormonde Jayne Montabaco ……so badly. The thought of Rose, Tea notes, Suede, and Tobacco together sound fantastic.
Honestly, I wasn’t familiar with Ormonde Jayne, but, as usual, Sebastian educated me, and introduced a house that I was completely unaware of. Now that he has introduced that house to me, I’m extremely intrigued to learn more about them, and the fragrances they’ve created.

  • I’m always looking forward to Sebastian’s reviews because he’s always knowledgeable and passionate about his reviews. His pronunciation is also very impressive. His reviews make me want to go out and buy the perfume.
I don’t have any favorite Ormonde Jayne and winning this will be a dream come true for me. I don’t know anything about tobacco fragrances.
    I live in California.

  • I have no words to say how i love Sebastian reviews. He is best reviewer IMHO. My favorite OJ is Nawab of Oudh Intensivo and I would love to add this one to my collection. I love OJ

  • Needless to say, Sebastian is my favorite reviewer so I’m starting with the right foot here haha. What I enjoyed the most about this review is the different aspect that Sebastian noted about the Tobacco being light and airy but at the same time complex. Very interesting combination. Would definitely love to have this gem Iin my collection as I would be my first OJ fragrance. Also would like to know Nawab of Oudh. My favorite tobacco fragrance right now is Herod by Parfums de Marly but that’s a completely different composition than this one judging from the description. uSA here, thanks.

  • “Class and refinement”, Sebastian is spot on! I don’t have a lot of experience with tobacco fragrances, so for Sebastian to say it’s one of the best tells me a lot. I have to agree with him, I bought the 4 corners/gold trio sampler pack and it’s fantastic. I’d love to win this as the full bottle price is out of my budget. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • Sebastian’s review was great. I liked his description of the “air note” at the open of the perfume. I’ve tried it and he put into words the sensation. He’s such a great reviewer!

  • I love Ormonde Jayne. I own for man, and One.Five, Nawab of Oudh. I am looking forward to this one. I like how he describes four corners of world and looking forward to try Tobacco Fragrance.

    Cheers from New York
