When  I  met with Nick Steward, Creative Director of L'Artisan Parfumeur, he was very excited about the return of the House to its Grassian Roots. Caligna was the first perfume that went back to the future. He wrote about this new direction in his article CaFleureBon Creative Directors in Perfumery.

This September 2013, L’Artisan Parfumeur launches Explosions d’Emotions, new collection of Eaux de Parfum. Faithful to the vision of its founder, Monsieur Jean Laporte, the cult Parisian perfume house sets a new standard with three exceptional fragrances.

Three concepts, translating the extraordinary emotional power of fragrance, created without compromise. L’Artisan Parfumeur and long-time collaborator Bertrand Duchaufour (Timbaktu, Dzongkha,  Mechant Loup, Poivre Piquant, Fleur de Liane, Mure et Musc Extrait, Havana Vanille,Traversee le Bosophere, Al Oudh, Nuits de Tuberouse, and Seville A L'Aube) share a vision: to capture the emotional power of olfactory art.

The Explosions d’Emotions collection is not just about the fragrance. Their sensational new packaging, inspired by the aesthetic codes of L’Artisan Parfumeur, is taken to new heights of indulgence. It is a harmony of luxurious materials: – sensual, thickly-textured white paper with original debossed motifs; precious metals; a beautifully facetted glass flacon. L’Artisan Parfumeur is proud to be ‘Made in France’, of its artisanal attention to detail, and, naturally, of ‘le luxe à la française’; the union of simplicity and sophistication.

Editor's Note: Since I have a sweet tooth when it comes to fragrance I think Deliria  and  Amour Nocturne might be my favorites. But I have learned, don't judge a fragrance by its notes… Excited to try all three.

  • I’ve never been a huge fan of L’Artisan Parfumeur line but I must tell that I like those flacons, they look better and more exclusive than regular L’AP line bottles.

Skin on Skin sounds the most like my kind of thing.

  • OMG Stop IT!!!!! Want Want Want! Bertrand you are a naughty naught man, you know how to tempt me!

  • I think this packaging is so attractive!
All three scents appeal to me,but perhaps,
De’liria the most. I look forward to the September
    launch!

  • WHOA I’m excited too!
I like most of the sweeter foodier L’Artisans, they wear well on me. Packaging is beautiful too.

  • Love the flacons. Don’t know if these will be too sweet for me, but I’m always eager to try Mr. Duchaufour’s creations.

  • Dear God, every single one of these sounds amazing and the bottles are gorgeous. Oh well, my left kidney is in pretty good condition…
