Atelier Cologne (we published the first reviews) debuted in 2010, Creative Directors Sylvie Ganter-Cervasel and Christophe Cervasel  reinvented the 300 year old genre for a modern audience.  They coined the term “cologne absolue” referring to the eau de parfum concentrations of up to 25%. Ever since,  Atelier Cologne reinvented the genre by using ingredients not commonly found in colognes.

I love Sebastians review as always. he is amazing at describing a fragrance and making you smell it as you watch the review. I am a huge tea fan…the drink and the fragrance note! it would be completely amazing to win this 30ml of Philtre Ceylan!!!!

  • The combination of black/green teas and cumin intrigues. My favorite tea scents are Route du The, Au The Vert Extreme and the late Felissimo 56. My favorite Atelier fragrance is Mandarine Glaciale. I am in the US.

  • I appreciate Sebastian’s reassurances about the cumin, for sure; I love to cook and eat with it, but I haven’t been a huge fan of wearing it so far. And man, he totally sold me on the tea. I’ll be sampling this one whether I win or not!

I *want* to love tea scents but have been having a hard time finding some that really tickle me. One of the fragrances I do like is actually Oolang Infini, but it just doesn’t stick around on my skin for more than an hour.

I’m a rather big fan of Atelier Colognes and have had a few in heavy rotation lately, almost all by Jerome Epinette: Jasmin Angelique, Santal Carmin, Vetiver Fatal, Mimosa Indigo, Trefle Pur, and Figuier Ardent. I’m itching to try Camelia Intrepid and Emeraude Agar, too.

Thank you for the chance!! Subscribed to LFSG, and I am in the US.

  • I loved the story about Sebastian’s mother roasting cumin seeds. In my area, cumin seeds are not traditionally used in cuisine. 🙂

I live in Romania and I’m subscriber of Sebastian’s.

I have not found a fragrance that is tea-based that I consider good quality, I have only tried the Bvlgari ones but seemed a bit synthetic..

My favourite AC are Pomelo Paradis and Trefle Pur.

  • Aaron Luke says:

Sebastian’s review was awesome. Made me super interested in the scent. I love tea fragrances and he said it had a really nice cumin note to it which really intrigued me. I kind of imagine it smells like masala chai.

  • I enjoyed listening to his meeting of the AC owner and hearing of his current interest in tea based perfume. 🙂 I am a fan of the tea fragrances I’ve tried. Asian Green Tea to name one. All very different from each other. I like many many ACs.

  • Sebastian’s review was amazing I love how he described fragrances. I am a big fan of drinking green tea so anything with tea note I will love. I never tried ACs fragrance but I would like to have the opportunity to try it. I live in Queens NY. USA

  • Deborah Lane McGuire says:

I’ve never sampled a tea fragrance, so I have no experience there, but I love the cumin note and this sounds like an interesting combination. Every Ateleier Cologne I’ve sampled has been a happy experience for me. Their quality shines through.

  • Patrick Echevarria says:

Bergamot,Spearmint and Green Tea you say?! Now this got me interested. I have not seen this in my local Sephora or perhaps I just did not notice this. Need to add this to my collection. Another good review by Sebastian here.

  • I haven’t tried too many tea fragrances but at least two I have tried were based on Sebastians recommendations:) I live in Utah

  • fazalcheema says:

I admit cumin is also not one of my fav. notes when it is in abundance but this one looks like it has impressive tea notes and is quite woody in the drydown. I am also curious about some other notes such as spearmint and the addition of citrusy notes make Philtre Ceylan almost all-weather scent. Thanks for the generous draw. I am in the US.

  • I’m slowly coming around to cumin in fragrances, but I have tried this one and I find the cumin and cardamom a really interesting facet of the fragrance. I agree that tea is very comforting, while the spices are refreshing. This is a very interesting fragrance and I’d love the opportunity to wear it more often. I haven’t tried a lot of tea fragrances – just Oolong Infini and Russian Tea, but another one I’m very curious about is L’lle au The. Thanks for this generous giveaway, I’m in the US.

  • I love tea fragrances but they don’t love me back usually sour on my skin
I am hoping that the bergamot cardamom with mix of teas and cumin pull well on me
This seems to be a favorite of Sebastian so that is encouraging
So many Atelier Colognes I like from Rose Anoyme Vanille insensee Fig Ardent and silver Iris
    I live in the USA

  • Borgie Santos says:

I really enjoyed most of the review of Sebastian. , i live in Rizal which is in Philippones. And yea i love to try and i think it is very cool if it is a te base frangrance. Verg relaxing to smell. And i’ve tried the new release of atelier cologne which is Camelia Intrepide and the other one. Also Cedrat Enivrant which is very orangey.

  • Very good video . Never tried any tea scent fragrances and this sound very interesting. I would love try it.

  • Edward Gurango says:

Sebastian’s reviews are always worth watching. Bvlgari’s Thé Vert is the tea fragrance I’m familiar with. Los angeles, California.

  • BostonScentGuy says:

The review got me at “cumin” and “tea,” but I was made very curious by Sebastian’s repeated use of the word “gelatinous” to describe the scent…curious to see how that texture translates to a smell! I also love the idea of a savory cumin vs. simply a “body smell” cumin, though I do enjoy both! I do like tea scents, but not typical light and sweet ones. I’m a fan of Masque Milano’s smoky Russian tea, Cartier’s two mate-based scents (Fougeuse and Treizieme Heure), and L’Artisan’s spiced, creamy, sweet black Tea for Two! I’m also an Atelier fan–beyond the initial great citrus releases, I loved Vanilla Insensee. I’m in the US! Thanks for the draw.

  • Another good review. The note mix is interesting, and this seems to capture several elements of my favourite teas: Moroccan mint, earl grey, oolong and black tea with cardamom. I lean towards the citrus focused Atelier Colognes, but enjoy their Vetiver too. I love tea in perfume when it’s well-handled. Would love to sample. The blue leather sleeve is super, too :). Canada, please and thank you.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always perfection! I enjoyed the story of his mom toasting cumin seeds on the stove which was something that my mom did and it scented our house. Some of my favorite tea fragrances are: Atelier Cologne Oolong Infini, Creed Asian Green Tea, and Kilian Imperial Tea. I live in the US and thanks for the draw! 🙂

  • I liked Sebastian’s review and would like to try Philtre Ceylan for the “big, bold black tea note”. I have ordered a sample pack from Atelier’s website and thus I have tried many of their scents. Most of them are likable and light. My favorites are Vetiver Fatal, Cedrat Enivrant, Orange Sanguine and Gold Leather. I live in EU.

  • I really appreciated Sebastian’s attempt to convey the thickness of the tea note, and the deliciousness of the cumin in this fragrance. It’s true that many folks are initially put off by cumin, as I was years ago. But since then and thanks in part to Ça Fleure Bon, I’ve discovered many fragrances that use cumin in a beautiful way.

My favorite from Atelier is currently Cedrat Enivrant, and I’ve been using it a lot this summer, but if Sebastian is correct (and I suspect he is), Philtre Ceylan might move to the top of my list!

I have several tea fragrances in my collection, and my first loves among them were Bulgari Eau Parfumée au thé vert, and Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. More recently, I have come to favor Serge Lutens Five O’Clock au Gingembre and Jacomo Art Collection #08.

    I am in the USA.

  • kourkouzanis says:

i ve sampled this fragrance lately and Sebastian captured my thoughts perfectly !! Its currently my favorite tea based fragrance and easily on top 3 of them!! live in Greece and would be more than thrilled to win this giveaway 🙂

  • Sebastian’s review was wonderful, like always. I like the scent of tea. I have never tried any of Atelier Colognes. I would very like to try this fragrance. Thank you for the draw. I live in Europe.

  • Sebastians reviews are always great. A I always say he paints a picture when describing scents. He is easily one of my fave Frag reviewers for that reason alone.

I love Atelier Colognes with Figiuer Ardent being my current fave. As for tea frags I dont have any, nor have I tried any tea dominant frags.

I would love a chance at winning this bottle! I am in Canada. Thank you once again for the generous giveaway

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s poise on camera. Not as easy as he makes it look! I enjoyed his very descriptive review and I , too, love tea fragrances. I own a couple of the Ateliers, Rose Anemone and Vanille Intensee (I probably butchered the spelling of these). I would love to try this one. I live in USA.

  • misty_father says:

Oh man a tea based fragrance! I very much enjoy these type of scents, and Sebastian’s description sounded very alluring to me. Atelier Cologne delivers every time.

Would love to try it, Europe here, thank you.

  • First of all, that bottle with the little blue leather thing covering it is gorgeous! Gorgeous bottle, and a tea scent. I love Gucci pour Homme II, so I think im into tea based fragrances, also Midnight In Paris has a little bit of tea in it and I own it and love it. Dont know any from Atelier Cologne.

Im from Europe. Thank you for the draw.

  • Iuno Feronia says:

Listening to Sebastian’s review makes me want. To have this Cologne immediatly. I Love tea scents – my favourite right now is Imperial Tea of By Kilian. I know AC right from their Start, I had already many colognes, eg Bois Blonde or Trefle Pur.

Thanks f,or the draw, I live in the EU.

  • Love tea fragrances. I think Gucci II is my favorite.Love the idea of a spearmint note here. Sebastian has great taste so I trust him. From USA.

  • I own a few Ateliers, with Bergamote Soleil being my fav at the moment. I’m a big fan of the house and have been dying to try the fragrances in the white bottles haha! I have not tried too many tea scents so this one definitely interests me. I’m in Canada and thanks a ton for the draw!

  • I really like how he describes fragrances. He has his own personal style.
    I live in EU.
I havent try any fragrance of this house yet.
I own only one cheapie fragrance with tea ”Green Tea Al-Rehab” which i like it a lot.
    Ty for the draw!!

  • I always enjoy listening to Sebastian’s reviews and this one makes no exception to the rule! I love the way he describes the perfume so lively and interestingly, one feels his/her “nostrils begging for more to smell”!
I do love the scent of tea and my favorite tea perfume is Bulgari’s Eau d’ The Extreme, simply amazing!
Unfortunately till today I have not tried any of Atelier Colognes. I would love to try this perfume.
Thank you for the lovely review and draw.
I am a registered reader living in EU.

  • Eric Dunthorne says:

I enjoy Sebastians personality he seems so easy going and describes fragrances very well. I bought the discovery set from Atlier about a month ago and have sampled 15 so far including the Orient collection. I’d say Philtre Ceylan is in the top three out of that collection and I would really like winning some. Thanks Cafleurebon, Sebastian and Atlier for doing this giveaway it’s really appreciated.

  • Great review, now I really want to try this scent. I like tea notes and my favorite Atelier Cologne Perfume is Oolong Infini. Thanks for the draw. EU.

  • I am a proud and devoted tea-lover and while I really like a lot of AC fragrances (my very favorite being Gold Leather and Iris Silver Mist), I prefer rather heavy, smoky tea perfumes. My number one is Tea for Two and I think this speaks a lot about my taste. Mint and cumin in Philtre Ceylan suggest rather lighter and fresher type of a tea scent, but it sounds interesting anyway and I would love to try it. Sebastian, you are very convincing again! Thank you for the review. I live in Europe.

  • Miss Almond says:

I love Sebastian’s review, I could almost smell roasted cumin seeds. I wouldn’t mind visiting his mom for dinner because I love cumin. I like many fragrances from Atelier Cologne, especially Pomelo Paradis. I would very much like to try Phyltre Ceylon. I am in the EU and thank you for the draw!

  • Hi there, i loved Sebastian’s statement about Cumin, i haven’t tried eating it yet. My favorite tea scent is Green Tea Bamboo from Arden. I tried Bergamot Soleil from the AC line. I live in Reggio Emilia, Italy but have a US mailing address too. I’d really love to try this!

  • I like that Sebastaian said tea fragrances are comforting. I agree. I am intrigued by the cumin in this fragrance. I use it a lot of Indian food and I like it in fragrance as well.
I like Bvlgari’s Green Tea fragrance. I’ve tried Atelier’s Pomelo Paradis.
    I live in the USA.

  • As always, I enjoyed Sebastian’s review and I think I would like Philtre Ceylan. I like Bulgari The Vert but I am not familiar with many tea fragrances and I am glad there is an Atelier Cologne tea scent because I like this brand a lot. I have tried Rose Anonyme, Trefle Pur and Silver Iris.
Thank you for the draw. I am from the EU.

  • I love tea in every form. In fact, I am a tea addict and without my aromatic cup of Darjeeling, Roiboos or a delicate white tea I am just not myself. I like many tea perfumes and I am still eager to test the new ones. This one sounds great because of cumin and I’d love to try it! Thank you for the review and the draw. I live in the EU.

  • I have many Atelier Cologne perfumes, my favorite are Orange Sanguine and Trefle Pur. I didn’t hear about Philtre Ceylan before and I would love to try it. I find tea scent relaxing and improving my mood. BTW I would love to visit Sri Lanka.
I live in Europe and I am subscribing Looking Feellng Smelling Great. Thank you for the giveaway.

  • I always like your reviews Sebastian, you never disappoint me. I agree that tea fragrances have some soothing, comforting quality and that’s why I am so fond of them. I like L’Occitane Green Tea and Atelier Cologne Oolang Infini best and I am very curious about Philtre Ceylan since I’ve never tested any tea scent with a mint note that would have at least moderate longevity.

Thank you for the review. I live in Europe.

  • I’ve recently tested Philtre Ceylan and I love it! Although I can hardly smell the spearmint note, but perhaps with another try it will be more pronounced on my skin. I agree with Sebastian that it’s very juicy at first and woody in the drydown. I really like it, because most of the tea scents I’ve tested had a dominant green tea note, which is nice, but I was looking for some real black tea. I’d be delighted to win a bottle! Thanks for the draw. EU.

  • cinnamon tree says:

Very tempting review. Tea is one of my favorite drinks and I love its smell. I have Oolang Infini by Atelier Cologne, which is great, and I look forward to try this one as well. I like the way Sebastian describes the cumin notes, I hope they are not overwhelming because I like cumin, but I would also like to smell the tea notes. I live in the EU and I am a subscriber of Sebastian’s youtube channel.

  • While I enjoyed Sebastian’s review of Philtre Ceylan, and I simply must try every fragrance with a mint note in it, in my opinion the best recommendation in favor of this perfume is the name of Jerome Epinette, who is the nose behind Byredo Bal D’Afrique and La Tulipe which I love. So I’m waiting impatiently to try Philtre Ceylan and I expect nothing but the best from this fragrance.

  • Another great review by Sebastian. I haven’t tried anything from this house, but I will in the future. They have a ton of selection so I know I’ll find something that I love.

I’m a Canadian reader and thank you for the draw.
