New Fragrance: Eau d’Italie Graine de Joie “From Positano with Love”

GrainedeJoie eau d'italie 2014

Creative Directors Sebastián Alvarez Murena and Marina Sersale of Eau d’Italie have dedicated their beautiful line of personal and home fragrance to capturing “Scented Stories of Italy” since 2004. They are the proprietors of the famous Hotel Sirenuse and in their 11th fragrance Graine de Joie, and in this collaboration with perfumer Daphne Bugey they truly present a perfume from Positano with Love.

“We like to think that the common thread in the history of Italy… Love: love for the beauty, the love of art, love in and of itself. It is certainly not a coincidence that the secret name Rome at the time of its founding was “Amor “a consecration of the city to Venus, the goddess of Love. For this reason, Eau d'Italie has dedicated its new Eau de Parfum to love, with a fragrance that evokes the irresistible lightness and euphoria of falling in love".

Young and slender, her smile lights up everything around.
As he passed the blooming flowers, the swallows sing and all that he touches turns gold .
At the window, a summer afternoon, the light floods the room filling it with perfumes-red berries, pomegranate, a gust of colors
Irresistible as the scent of Graine de Joie

Top notes: pomegranate, red fruits,
Notes Body : freesia, pralines
Base notes : cedarwood , musk

100ml

My thanks to Sebastián, who is at Esxence in Milano at this moment for knowing I would love this perfume and sending me the details by email, so I can share the story of Graine de Joie with our readers.

  • it’s interesting to note that the names Rome/Roma are also associated with the so-called heresy of the Magdalene and the “cults” of Roma/Amor and Eros/Rose.

  • The “Secret Name of Rome” can’t get any MORE Italian than LOVE! Any details on a U.S arrival date! Can’t wait for those juicy redfruits!!! Oh my! 😀

  • Such a great line, everything they produce is good. A perfume based on the Italian idea of love must smell great!

  • I’m so drawn to this one… Beauty, art, Venus, love… The whole concept is something I absolutely love. Thanks for the info!
