New Fragrance: Aftelier Perfumes Bergamoss by Mandy Aftel

mandy aftel bergamoss solid perfume

Aftelier Perfumes launches Bergamoss solid perfume by Mandy Aftel. Bergamoss features the sumptuous marriage of oakmoss, with its aromas of the wet forest floor, and the bright freshness of bergamot. It harkens back to the substantial and transporting chypres of old. “I was after a particular kind of chypre — one that was both rich and fresh, bright and heavy, sweet and loamy”.

Bergamoss solid perfume is made in a base of organic unfiltered beeswax and organic jojoba oil. It is available in a one-quarter ounce sterling silver compact ($240), and in a one-quarter ml sample ($6) at www.aftelier.com.

Top: bergamot, wild sweet orange

Middle: peach, citronellol, nutmeg absolute

Base: oakmoss, flouve absolute (from the flowering tops of a sweet grass in France, coumarin, antique civet

  • It sounds delightful! I love a contrasting Chypre, and one that is a creative twist on an old favorite of mine. Love the Sterling compact as well.

  • Ooooh. This is a must sample. I love everything in it and I’m thinking that “antique civet” means it’s the real thing.

  • I ‘ditto’ love the sound of this in fact I can visualise some of it- Long thought these two are a sexy pair of scents and so glad Mandy is showing them off to their very best (no doubts there!)
