Mugler Pure Havane (Jacques Huclier) 2011 + Viva la Revolución Draw

With so many new releases, often we forget fragrances we love, ones we want to revisit time and time again. MUGLER  Pure Havane, was a Limited Edition, composed in 2011, by Jacques Huclier, as an homage to Cuban cigars. But it is so much more! This honeyed tobacco men’s cologne is one of the best of all of the Mugler flankers and could have been the scent of the debonair but dangerous British Mercenary Robert Dapes (played by Sean Connery) who was in Havana, Cuba right before the coup of Batista’s government by the revolutionary Fidel Castro. In its own way Pure Havane was a Revolución in fragrance, preceding the popularity of gourmand notes like vanilla, honey and cacao in men’s fragrances, (many niche) to surround the macho tobacco. Don't be put off that  Pure Havane is marketed to men, because this scent easily can be worn by anyone.

    Sebastian says it is one of the best tobacco and gourmand designer fragrances and it reminds him of a trip to Italy. I didnt know Jacques Huclier has done most of the fragrances in pure series. I first got Havane when it was released for the firs time before being discontinued. I wonder how this one is different from original. I am in US.

    The thing I liked most was how Sebastian was able to relate his trip to Italy and wearing that cologne. For myself, I can only do that with one cologne because it was the most amazing trip I had ever been on. I currently only have Pure Malt by Mugler so I am interested in getting my hands on Pure Havane to see if it is that great of a Fragrance.

    I really really enjoy all of Mugler’s creations. I am feeling what Sebastian is saying… as this fragrance dries down it changes and gets more and more yummy. This has to be my top honey and tobacco fragrance. It is just so expertly blended. My other favorites from Mugler are the original Amen, Pure Malt, Pure Havane, Angel EDT and Angel Muse. I live in the USA. Thanks so much for this delicious draw!

    Sebastian is a trusted reviewer who has never led me astray with his opinion on numerous scents. This one seems to be a favorite of his and with that said I’m sure I’ll love Pure Havanne. I’ve heard very good things about the Mugler house and can’t wait to get my nose on some of their offerings. Great review Seb 🙂

    Sebastian always puts out very professional and informative reviews. This guy really knows his stuff. I’m proud to be a subscriber. The house of Mugler always put out amazing frags time after time. I fell in love with Amen years ago after first sniff and always have a bottle of it in my collection.     I would love to win this bottle for my new beau, this scent drives me absolutely crazy! I completely agree with the hint of cherry Sebastian! I’m Mugler obsessed, I think I own every Womanity, Alien, and Angel flanker to date, as well as part of the Limited Edition Parfum Coffret based on “Perfume: The Story of a Murderer”. Please help me convert my fragrance free beau ❤️

    I’ve been dying to get my nose on this one! Tobacco notes work very well on my skin and I’ve heard that this is unisex so count me in! I trust Sebastian’s word that this is a great fragrance so if I don’t win, I will probably buy this anyway.

    It’s Sebastian’s favorite from the A MEN line.
    I have the original A Men and some flankers like pure malt, pure coffee, and pure shot, and my favorite is the original.I haven’t really tried this one at all.

    Sebastian is the man, and this fragrance is one of my faves. It works well on my skin and is one of my favorite openings of the flankers. This, Pure Tonka, and Mugler Cologne are my go-to Mugler staples.

    Sebastian does it again! Yes Pure Havane is a great scent! I have tried it at the mall before and stand behind its great vibe… A wonderful smooth tobacco and honey scent. I think my very favorite is Pure Malt with Pure tobacco coming is second. I did purchase Pure Leather and its pretty rough… I do live in Southern Illinois. THANK YOU FOR THIS DRAW!

    I really enjoyed Sebastian’s review. He is very thorough and invites the viewer to share in the experience of relishing in the beauty of fragrances. His review of Pure Havanne almost allows the viewer to smell the fragrance and its development from the clever use of descriptives. His pleasant tone and genuine love for fragrances emits its own aroma and seduces the viewer to partake. Keep up the good work!

    Great review, great scent. I’ll keep it simple 🙂 I have to say though I was impressed with insurrection pure wild.. I haven’t smelled pure havane in a long time and would love to compare the two. I really am not sure where these drawings are announced I never get any facebook notification even though I have it set and liked the page..

    Pure Havane by Mugler is one of my most loved fragrances of all time. Also it is one of my most complimented designer fragrances in my collection.     I like that Sebastian has a scent memory associated with PH, and that it reminds him of Italy. I too become attached to fragrances based on the scent memories I associate with them. I own the OG A*Men, but have only sampled PH before, and I love it!

    Great review by Sebastian. He had me at tobacco and gourmand. I have not had the pleasure of putting my nose on Puer Havane, but is one of several Mugler fragrances on my wish list to buy. I love wearing fragrances marketed toward men.

    I liked Sebastián’s review because I’ve smelled pure havane before and he hit the notes (at least what I get) on the nose. It was also interesting to hear how strongly he has associated pure havane with a memory of Italy, because there are fragrances that have imprinted themselves into my memory as well because they’re associated with a good experience.

    My dad and I love going to the mall and smelling fragrances. We went to Macy’s today and smelled AMen, Pure Malt, and Pure Havane. My dad and I liked the Pure Havane the most. He, being a history buff, asked me what it was called, and when I said “Pure Havane” he immediately started telling me facts about Havana- that it is the capital of Cuba, and some other cool stuff. I told him that it has tobacco in it and he said “Oh! Cuba also has some of the greatest tobacco in the world!”

    I like how Sebastian associates this scent to his winter vacation in Italy. I do the same thing when I go on vacations because it makes the fragrance special to me and every one of my fragrances has a time of my life associated with it.

    I enjoyed his review of it. I am smelling the test strip from earlier today and his review is spot on!

    The only Mugler scent that I’ve smelled is the original A-men. For me, the hook of Sebastian’s video is when he describes Pure Havane as the ULTIMATE FRAGRANCE EXPERIENCE as he’s enjoying the honey tobacco, syrupy vanilla, the cherry accord and then the blend in of the patchouli and cacao. To me that all sounds sensational and makes me want to try it. I think I would definitely wear that fragrance especially as the season is starting to change.

    I only own 1 Mugler scent “Pure Malt” that I really love. I’ve heard a lot about the house of Mugler scents and Sebastian is great at describing the scent in a way that covers all of the possible questions I would have before purchasing a bottle.
