Sebastian is down to earth and is a good interviewer. As far as the perfumers, I enjoyed meeting House of Matriarch owner and the owner of Meshaz Natural perfumes. Thanks for the draw!

  • I wouldn’t have minded if this video was an hour (or more). I enjoyed “meeting” and hearing the voice of DSH. This would be a great draw to win. 🙂 U.S.A.

  • Sebastian, is always good at presenting hidden gems to the frag com crowd. Cool guy with a great taste. Don’t know how many frag he has to be through to be able to say “hey, buddy, this is good stuff”. Thanks for sharing info.

I really would have loved to attend this event. The interviews were great. Sebastian was very engaging and allowed the viewers to feel like part of the event. I enjoyed getting to see and hear from the faces behind the brands. I live in Texas, US. Thanks for the opportunity!

  • I love how genuine Sebastian is when he does these interviews you can tell he really connects with the people he talks with. Also It was really cool to see Bruno, always wanted to try one of his fragrances, he also seems pretty cool in person. Haven’t tried any of these fragrances but I would love to. Good Luck all!

  • Wonderful review. Jealous in a good way. Hope Detroit someday get to have events like this. Just enjoy listening to and about the new perfumes that are coming all. Great job Sebastian, keep up the good work.

  • What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s review was giving the small indie houses exposure. I was excited about three artisan perfumers mikmoi, Bruno Fazzolari and Dawn spencer Hurwitz from dsh perfumes. My favorite indie house is house of matriarch the only one from the San Francisco Artisan Fragrance Salon I have tried.

I always love Sebastian’s videos and follow him on youtube. I would love to meet Bruno Fazzolari because…well….Bruno fazzolari! Creator of Jimmy and Au Dela Narcisse du Montaigne two of my faves! I live in Washington state, but am a native San Franciscian, born and raised!

  • I just enjoyed putting a face with the name behind the fragrances.
And experiencing through Sebastian video what a fun place that could be

  • I would love to try fragrances from all these artisans. I am not familiar with any of them, so that would be fun.

  • What a fantastic collection of talented people and companies! I am beginning the production of my own YouTube review channel. If I am fortunate enough to win this contest, I will give credit to LFSG and CafleureBon and it would go back to educating and promoting within the fragrance community. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • All of the interviews were so interesting, but I was especially interested in the interview with Ellen Covey and House of Matriarch as I’m particularly interested in trying more of these Seattle-based scents! (I also happen to be visiting my parents in the Seattle area, so that may have contributed to the extra interest!) This is such an amazing giveaway – it’s such a fabulous opportunity to try fragrances from SO MANY different houses!! Thanks for this great draw, I’m in the US.

Wow, what an amazing event! Sebastian is such a great interviewer. I loved meeting all the faces behind the fragrance lines. I especially liked Meshaz (sp?) and to learn her background was in lavender distillery. I’d love to try the fragrance she spoke about, knowing she personally distilled the lavender for that perfume!
I would absolutely be over the moon if I won this giveaway!
    I live in the U.S.

  • Wow, what a great draw! Winning this goody bag would probably make me feel like a kid on Christmas morning! Sebastian’s interviews were great. I loved hearing about the new fragrances and putting faces to all the perfumes. I especially liked his interview with Christi Meshell of House of Matriarch who seems delightful. I wish I could’ve been there myself. Some of the scents mentioned I have tried already, and some I have not, but I don’t think I have a favorite. I would love to try DSH’s The Voices of Trees, and Cognoscenti’s new Blue Oud which I hadn’t heard about before but sounded interesting as well. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! I am in the US.

  • Sebastian did a very good job making the rounds, and eliciting lovely interviews. I think Ellen Covey is fantastic and so elegant. Dawn Spencer Hurwitz is always a delight. What a talent. Christi Meshell is a firecracker! The sampler sets from these three marvelous women perfumers are what I am most excited about on this International Women’s Day!

    I am in the US.

  • OMG – what a haul! I loved seeing and hearing the men and women behind many perfume lines I’ve read about here. I am pleasantly surprised at the diversity I see. I cannot pick one favorite! I loved the enthusiasm and sincerity I saw and heard….and the love of the craft and community so frequently reiterated. I didn’t get the sense from any of these people that they were capitalists simply hawking their wares. PS I want ALL the perfume lol!! Thanks for the draw!

  • Lellabelle says:

A great round up for those of us who were unable to be there in person, thank you! It was great to see the people behind the perfumes. So much to get excited about in niche/artisan perfume 🙂 Too many great choices here for me to pick just one – please enter me in the draw!

  • Eric meyers says:

Love the down to earth interviews, and how its like talkin to a best friend about fragrance, never been to the salon in person but it would be a heavenly experience for sure.

  • Thanks Sebastian! The best part is putting a face and personality to these great houses. We only sometime hear about them but don’t actually hear from them. We have great people in the community to help do this for us to thank. Was great to hear from Christi Meshell from House of Matriarch and Dawn Spencer Hurwitz of DSH. Thanks for the giveaway from the US

  • Thank you Michelyn and Sebastian for this wonderful video and for your coverage of the Artisan Salon. What an incredible treat it was to be there and to meet you, Sebastian! No need to enter me in the drawing; I just wanted to say thanks. <3

  • I wish I was there to sample and see all these great perfumers. It must of smelled fabulous in that convention area. Cafleurebon in the East coast and Sebastian on the West Coast is a great combination to get the nation covered. Sebastian personality is infectious he does great interviews and knows his fragrances. Great seeing a couple of perfumers behind the Zoologist line. Can’t wait to see the newest release. Thanks for the great giveaway. I live in the US

  • fazalcheema says:

The itnerviews I enjoyed most were from Paul Killer of PK and Christi of House of Matriarch, It is hard not to notice how Christi seemed excited to talk about her products and brand. Similarly, Ineke also came across as very likely and approachable. Interesting event, maybe I will drop there in the future. Thanks a lot for the generous goodies bag. I am in the US.

  • I love this event, I wait for it impatiently all year long and wish there are more events around the country. Its always great to see everyone especially my fellow perfume maker friends who I am getting to know more and after 3 shows, they are starting to feel like “family” to me. Sebastian did an excellent job talking to each of us and I would like to thank Michelyn and Sebastian for sharing this with everyone! Thank you again!!! No need to enter me in the draw.

  • It was a great way to learn more about so many perfumers most I have read about.
I was particularly excited to see Dawn Spencer Hurwitz and Ellen Covey. mesha story on lavender for her new perfume was the most interesting
    Thanks for a great video

  • A Parisian Affair by La Fleur by Livvy in a beautiful little heart-shaped blue glass bottle on a key chain… Positively dreamy, and makes a great gift! Thanks to Artisan Fragrance Salon in San Francisco we can discover, fall in love with, and follow so many talented perfumers whose creativity and hard work brings us the heavenly scents for the new millennium! Keep up the good work.

  • Since I own several fragrances by Ineke, I enjoyed seeing her interview and hearing her talk about Field Notes of Paris, as this was my first Ineke fragrance I bought. I really didn’t know it was based on an old mens’ fragrance from the 50’s. I love it! Thanks for the other interesting interviews, too, and the chance to win a goodie bag. I am in the U.S.

  • His videos are always great!!! As far as the perfumers, House of Matriarch was one that I thought was good. Thanks for the draw!

  • Sean had a tremendous amount of territory to cover and he did a very admirable job at it.

Ellen Covey just seems like the kindest, most down to earth soul, I want to buy more of her perfumes just to support her as a person and a perfumer (Pacific NW represent!).

  • Great video, and nice to put faces and voices to names of so many I read about on these pages. I just received a sample of Albatross, and nice to see Christi from House of Matriarch. USA

  • Sebastian is a very soothing interview style. I recently got a sample of Sex Magic from House of Matriarch and am excited to try others from that house. Im a big fan of Christi and would love to meet her. I would love any of the samples from this drawing. Thanks for the opportunity. Im in the USA

  • What fun to see all the perfumers! They are a diverse group. (Favorite outfit: Mikmoi!) I would love to be able to attend an event like this, but Sebastian’s interviews were the next best thing. I was interested in each and every one, but Meshaz was a perfumer I first heard about on this site a couple of years ago. At that time I tried to find their website and it was hard to maneuver. I’ll check it out again and see if it’s easier now, as I love lavender. Thank you for giving all these indie perfumers a platform! Boy would I love to try all these samples! Thank you. USA

  • Thanks for this great video. I enjoyed meeting all the perfumers thru it! I would like to win the goody bag especially with La Fleur by Livvy’s, Mikmoi and PK Perfumes.

  • Loved hearing the story behind Zoologist bat from the perfume person I’d love to meet, Ellen Covey. I’d love to smell Bat and Lampblack from Bruno Fazzolari. Thank you, I’m in the US.

  • Sebastian does the best interviews and has a great way of connecting with the perfumers. I wish the video was much longer and that I could have been there in person. I enjoyed Christi and DSH. Thanks for the great draw! 🙂

  • I enjoyed how he got around and talked to a lot of different vendors yet also took the time to introduce us to some of the new purveyors of fragrance. I was most interested in seeing the interview with Dawn from DSH as hers was one of the names I actually recognized from seeing it here previously, I appreciate the draw.

  • Oh wow that looks like an amazing place to be!!!

I am curious to hear more about Haught, they seemed interesting but I didn’t get a great read on what their brand scent was like.

Always lovely to see Dawn! I am excited by all the new vendors and can’t wait to see their fragrances reviewed here. I thought it was really neat that a young lady right out of college was starting their own fragrance brand, and am curious what will come of it. I am used to seeing perfumer of a slightly older demographic, so seeing someone my age on the scene interests me. I didn’t catch her name sadly, but I knew fruity florals aren’t quite my thing, but will totally check her out if she gets more into fougeres or orientals.

  • What I liked was that I’ve never heard of some of these brands, so it was a great introduction to new houses and perfumers.
I thought they all seemed really friendly and communal. But my favorite was House of Matriarch. Tried a couple of samples and loved their frags and loved them. I thought it was intriguing that she did an aquatic, since unique takes on the genre can be phenomenal and wholly different than the mainstream stuff. Which I’m sure Albatross is.

  • One of my favorite reasons for following Cafleurebon is how accessible you make the mysterious world of fragrance. Sebastian’s YouTube review took it to a whole new level. The icons speak and they really are just like the rest of us. I especially enjoyed meeting Michael Coyle. His MIKMOI Cologne stick in Do along with samples of Ki, Sui, Kin and Ka was the first spilled perfume that I won here.

What a great series of interviews – I know it can’t have been easy for Sebastian to fit in so many, but lucky for us he did! I loved ‘meeting’ Ineke and Dawn Spencer Hurwitz after reading so much about their fragrances (and experiencing a few!), and also enjoyed hearing about the creation of Zoologist Bat – what a fun inspiration! I also enjoyed hearing about a few new and new-to-me brands. I hope they had lots of fun at the salon!

Interesting & Awesome. One thing is for sure that women have better nose than men as I watch many women perfumers in the video. I missed JoAnne Bassett.
Thanks Sebastian Jara, the Perfumers (Nose) and Cafleurbon for the opportunity and gorgeous giveaway.
