May Day, One Day, Guerlain’s Way: Guerlain Miguet Yearly Ode to $pring

Marc Chagall,  Lilies of the Valley (1916)

The 1st of May is traditionally the day when muguet ~lily of the valley in French~ is offered as a porte-bonheur, a good luck charm in France.

As fragrance fanatics for over a decade know, the arrival of spring marks the return of the coveted Guerlain Muguet Collectors bottle! This yearly tradition continues in 2011 and serves as the best reminder that spring has finally sprung. The original formulation dates back to 1906.

Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Editor's Note: It's available at Guerlain Boutiques for one day only, May 1st.  I contacted Bergdorf Goodman and its $580 for 4.2 ounces. Glad its after Tax Day!
