Liz Zorn Acousticjus Stellar Oil Perfumes: Tiny Treasures

Last week, I was most pleasantly surprised; in my mail, a package of Liz’ newest perfumes !

I’m grateful and honored.

Liz has been working on a new line of oil –based fragrances – alcohol-free, fuss-free, unplugged [to paraphrase the lady], and a full-bodied free-for-all.

FUN.

These are tiny treasures.

Intense.

A little dab’ll do ya.

I’m a fan of oil perfumes- good ones, that is.

They can give you the pleasure of tenacious fragrance combined with discretion, if you will it.

It’s all in the application!

Many of you are aware, by now- that Liz Zorn is a painter, a musician, a poet, among her many talents.

She plays multiple instruments, writes lyrics and composes songs, and this is a huge part of her, a part I feel acutely.

This informs her new releases, which she fondly refers to as “Road Trip “.

Miz Liz has six of these scents out right now, and they’re each wildly different from one another, which is what I’d expect from such an eclectic lady.

I don’t know which I like best, frankly.

Dominion : Liz says it’s ‘earth, sea, sky’- I say it’s brilliant and bright.

Not a cloud in the sky; freedom in a vial.

Full of lime and lavender and vetiver.

Open spaces and good company.

Piquant : gingery gardenia blended with vanilla and spice.

This would go nicely with a fine pecan pie, Lizzie.

And strong coffee.

After a late, all-night jam.

I-C-U: “Bonfire At Midnight “

No doubt about it; smoky, tarry, earth-bound.

To wear after a looong ride on your Harley, around the campfire.

Booze, butts, and buds.

Ghost stories.

Drunken madness ensues.

Shameless-Take No Prisoners

OK.

You can see where THIS is going..

And it does.

A wicked mocha gourmand lolling about in extreme vanilla, ripe pears and the occasional strawberry.

Utterly delightful and highly caloric; do not ingest.

Flamenco

And it’s “hot, hot, hot”.

Seriously spicy, flamingly clove-y carnations with red roses.

Toss in amber and spice, and dance in red stilettos.

Fiercely, until you are covered in sweat and drop.

Circa 1969

What else ?

Mellow orange, glorious musk, finest wine-y, cocoa-y patchouli, good old-fashioned amber.

What could be better?

Shades of sweet times that many of us remember fondly-

Perhaps, along with the severe hiding one took for going off to Woodstock…

Or San Francisco.

Thank you, Liz-

For the pleasure.

It’s a sweet ride.

  • These look & sound like just my kind of fragrances, and knowing Liz, I'm sure they will smell like it too. Excellent review, certainly grabbed my attention!

  • Thank You Ida!, Quite unexpected but appreciated. I think you captured the essence of the essence. Fun but not too fussy. Now I need to go hunt down a piece of pecan pie 🙂 My favorite!

  • I am interested in these but nowhere on the website (that I can see) is there a mention of how much each vial contains.

  • Thank you for sharing your impressions of these! I just received my "road trip" yesterday, a nice treat to find in the mail box after returing from my own road trip.
So far, I am loving Piquant (deliciously spicy) and Flamenco (joyful! Liz's roses smell like they are still on the bush!)

  • I love gourmand scents!  Liz is definitely gifted when it comes to producing amazing parfums!  Out of the sampler set, I love Shameless, Piquant and Circa 1969!  Mmmmm!
