JUARA Skincare Radiance Vitality Oil Review + You Glow Girl Draw

JUARA skincare

Juara Skincare

There are makeup addicts and there are people like me who are skin care junkies (Truth! I am both). I am always searching for the “Holy Grail” in skincare; an ultimate anti aging, pore minimizing hydrating elixir. I own many creams, serums and face oils;  any product that is high in  botanicals or all natural gets my attention. I am someone who likes to read names of ingredients that I can pronounce and that don’t require a degree in chemistry to understand. When EIC Michelyn Camen asked me to review Juara Radiance Vitality Oil, I jumped at the opportunity.  Although I had not heard of this  line, after looking on their website, I was impressed by the luxurious brown and gold packaging and the inspiration for the brand.

Juara was inspired by the ancient beauty secrets and botanical remedies of the Indonesian archipelago, Juara draws from the practice of a time-honored herbal tradition called Jamu, as well as the best in modern science to create products that restore and enhance the skin's natural balance and radiance.”

The botanicals used in Juara Radiance Vitality Oil are very high quality. As someone who has used face oils before they were trendy, I was familiar with all the ingredients as I have a good deal of first hand knowledge of botanicals and their benefits. For many years, there was a misconception that face oils are greasy or will make you break out. A good face oil will do neither and in fact, correct complexion issues over time. The key is the quality. Juara’s face oil is composed of high grade non-comedogenic oils that are known to nourish and nurture the skin.

These ingredients I found to be some of the heavy hitters:

Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) Root Extract: I had not used this before except in a natural face mask. We all know the value of adding it to our cooking. Turmeric is a great antioxidant which helps to fight off free radicals, it is also great for inflammation.

Candlenut Oil: (Aleurites Moluccanus) which I know as Kukui Nut oil. It is produced mainly in Hawaii and Tahiti. Kukui Oil is high in essential fatty acids, thus, it aids in softening and restructuring the skin. It is excellent for sensitive and mature skin.

5-Flavor Berry Extract: It has been stated to help the skin hold onto moisture. This I was not familiar with in skincare.

Plumeria Extract: Revitalizes damaged skin while being highly hydrating. Keeps the skin soft and smooth. Squalene: (since this is a cruelty free product and 100% Vegetarian) this is a plant based squalene, from either Olives, or Wheat Germ. It closely resembles the sebum produced by human skin. It provides smooth light moisture to the skin.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate: (a milder form of vitamin C that’s been modified to be more lipid soluble.) which allows for better penetration and absorption. Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is able to successfully penetrate the epidermis and move to the layer underneath called the dermis. It’s in the dermis that collagen is made. Vitamin C is said to stimulate collagen production. Since collagen provides skin with the support it needs to stay firm and youthful, this helps to reduce wrinkles and skin sagging. It is also a great antioxidant.

Juara  Radiance  Vitality Oil mixed with my moisturizer

I first applied Radiance Vitality Oil according to the directions on the box, 2-3 drops morning and night. I had to use much more of the product than I had expected. I live in a desert climate thus my skin is  dry. After searching the Juara site, I found a few helpful hints from a makeup artist. This product works best on many skin types when used after serums or  mixed with a moisturizer. This method increased the efficacy of the oil and works much better for my dry, mature skin.

I'm still in trial mode. So far, my skin is smoother, more hydrated,  and I  will continue using hoping that my face will look more radiant. As mentioned before, if you have dry or very dry skin, I recommend using it with your moisturizer, and not completely as a stand-alone product.

Pros: It gives my skin a moist dewy appearance, and my face feels like soft to the touch. The texture of my skin was noticeably improved.

Cons: When applied according to the directions on the box, it didn't work as well for me.

My results after one week based on the Benefits listed from their site:

Firms & Enhances Skin Elasticity (not yet)

Brightens & Boosts Radiance (not yet)

Smoothes & Softens (immediate results)

Provides Antioxidant Protection (yes)

Helps Protect & Repair with powerful antioxidants Nourishes & Hydrates (yes)

Ultra pure formula good for all skin types, especially aging skin (yes).

Let’s face it. We live in a time when we demand results immediately or the products get shelved or discarded.  Noticeable changes can take some time, and I recommend 1-3 months no matter what skincare you use. I am looking forward to trying more of their line as all Juara skincare is dermatologist tested. 100% vegetarian. Free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, gluten, artificial colorants and harsh chemicals and Certified cruelty free.

30 ml/$65 available at www.juaraskincare.com and select stockists.

Love oils, belatedly, after years of hoping that the magic in a jar, here’s my credit card, approach would help. I think that the simpler the beauty routine, much to my surprise, the healthier your skin can be. I admit, I’m stunned to get to this point. Love to try this. USA.

  • It sounds like this has fabulous benefits especially with aging skin. I prefer natural skin products as I have noticed that the older I get the more sensitive my skin becomes to certain products/ingredients. M y grandmother always said: if you can find one great moisturizing product stick with. Cleanse and moisturize was her motto. And with make up she always said, less is more. I would love to try this. I am in the US.

  • Really informative review Sandi! I am also a fan of oils. I’ve been using them for 12+ years now. It all started with good old DHC Deep Cleansing Oil? It’s an olive oil product that is very effective at thoroughly cleansing, and I was pleasantly surprised when first using the product that there was no icky residue left on the skin. Since then, I think I’ve tried every other oil skin care product I’ve come across – this Juara is new to me. The benefit I would most like to see is if it does improve firmness and elasticity. Those are the features most elusive to me in skin care products! I keep trying. 🙂 All natural ingredients are pretty important to me.

  • This does sound like a good product, and I am glad the manufacturer isn’t absolutist, saying you must use only their line of however many products or none of it will work! There aren’t many moisturizers I can use that don’t irritate my skin, and at my age I really do not like breakouts. I live in the US.

  • I absolutely love face and body oils and only use natural products on my face. Juara Radiance Vitality Oil has an oil that I love in it, kukui nut. I am curious about the plumeria extract also. I was very lucky years ago when I was given some samples of Suki organic skin care products. I LOVE them and they are still my main skin care products. USA

  • This sounds like a really nice oil to use. My skin is dry, old and kinda neglected, to be honest, as I would rather put my cash toward perfume, but that’s the reason I would like to win the Juara Radiance Vitality Oil: it sounds like a pampering type of product and I would like to pay better attention to my skin. Thanks for the honest review and the draw.

  • I have not had much experience with natural skin products so Juara would be a great way to test a natural product. I have used brands for men skincare such as clinique and zirh though. thanks so much for the draw. I am in the US.

  • I haven’t tried many natural skin care products, but I do absolute love facial oils. I’ve tried a few, and right now I often use emu oil. I’ve never heard of Juara – I’d love to see if it would be a good fit for my skin! Thanks for the review and the draw, I’m in the US.

  • I love natural skin care products. Once I started using them, I’ve found it hard to use anything else. I really like using oil on my face, but it’s hard to find one that’s non-greasy and smells either good or doesn’t conflict with my perfume! This sounds perfect on both counts. I would like to win this because I would like an alternative the oil I use now that is ridiculously priced and comes in an ugly package (yes, that matters to me). Registered reader in the US.

I love face oils especially with the hot weather we’ve been having. I mix it up; I love naturals but don’t mind science mixed in. I,m a junkie so would love to try Juara.

  • I prefer ingredients I can pronounce, but to be honest, I’ll use anything as long as it’s effective and non-toxic. My skin is very dry, so oils usually work well for me in both cleansing and moisturizing. I would love to try a new oil moisturizer. Thanks! I’m in the US.

  • Last year I tried a popular, expensive oil made by a French company that is supposedly the go-to oil for many French, particularly Parisien, women. I was so disappointed! I’m constantly searching for skin care products that are natural. The most important thing is that they are effective and I’d love to try this one. Loved the honesty of the reviewer. I’m in the US.

  • Thanks for a very informative review. I am familiar with the Juara line, although not the face oil. I lived in Indonesia for a couple of years, and every morining the Jamu girl would come down our street bearing 3 or 4 jugs of various health potions. If you were a customer you would meet her and receive your morning cup. (Some tasted terrible though!) Indonesia is where I first learned about the benefits of tumeric. The Juara line has beautiful packaging, which I admit always influences me. It is part of the process, to hold something in your hand that inspires confidence and is beautiful. I have very much liked the products I have tried, and would love to experience the oil. I’m in USA>

  • I’d love to try. I’m now mid 50s and never thought I’d use an oil on my face. I use some natural products, but not exclusively. Just used Lush products on my face tonite. Thanks.

  • I’m a new recruit to facial oils, finding they help me more now that I’m getting older. So far I’m impressed with rose hip oil and kukui nut oil, which is present in Juara’s Radiance Vitality oil.

I’m not a stickler for them regarding lotions and perfumes, but I do try to use natural products on my face.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • I agree with Ms. Lundberg, “For many years, there was a misconception that face oils are greasy or will make you break out. A good face oil will do neither and in fact, correct complexion issues over time”. I’ve always had oily skin and would never consider a face oil; however, I’ve been using one now for about 6 months with my serum and I swear by it. I would like to try this Vitality oil and do not necessarily prefer natural skin products.

  • I know this comment is way late, but I wanted to add that just because there are high quality VERSIONS of a particular oil does not mean that the ingredient in a certain product IS high quality. There are high and low qualities of the same ingredient- you cannot tell the quality of an oil by reading the IL. You can get argan oil for .03 an oz. or $5 an ounce as a chemical purchaser. The difference is quality.

It is also not beneficial to only buy products with ingredients you can pronounce, necessarily- there are tons of amazing ingredients found in or derived from nature that may sound very scientific and “synthetic” that aren’t. It is not black and white.
