Honey is a delightful all natural perfume hand blended by Perfumer Laurie Stern for her Artisan Company Velvet and Sweet Pea’s Purrfumery based in San Francisco, California. I love this scent for its charming floral bouquet, fruity tartness and gentle dry down of spiced honey. It makes me feel like a flower garden in summertime…fully expecting a halo of “bees” to buzz around me and cover me with furry little kisses. A very joyful scent it stays close to the skin inviting nuzzles from admirers…and lingers long enough to last through a sweet encounter…
Every single one of Laurie’s natural perfumes are exciting and polished revealing her skill as a perfumer with full, balanced perfumes…each tell a story on your skin and each scent is fully inspired on a physical, intellectual and spiritual level. Normally with a natural scent collection I would find one, maybe two that I would like, the others either being not to my taste, or finding them somehow lacking, seemingly unfinished or unbalanced, or just boring. Natural perfumes are made from more simple ingredients than synthetic or blended scents and the excitement very much depends on the skill level of the perfumer. Laurie has “it”.
