Histoires de Parfums this is not a blue bottle 1.4 and this is not a blue bottle 1.5

Natural. Synthetic. Yin. Yang. These are the principales for  Histories de Parfums newest additions to their "this is not a blue bottle series". For this is not a blue bottle 1.4 and this is not a blue bottle 1.5, Creative Director Gerald Ghislain  explores two very different genres in perfumery.

"In the  ancient Yin Yang philosophy, every element in the universe has its own opposite: feminine-masculine, day-night, fire-water, natural-synthetic… Yin & Yang are two complementary forces that are interdependent on one another. They are two aspects of the same reality"

Sylvie Jourdet explores the concept of Yin, and uses 100 percent botanical ingredients in what is described as a "spicy amber, and feminine eau de parfum. "The lunar strength of Davana and Ylang-Ylang takes root in the balmy depths of Labdanum and Opoponax. Lunar and luscious, a velvety, amber perfume that is profoundly carnal." Top notes: Davana, Lavander, Cardamom; Heart notes: Ylang-Ylang, Tonka Bean, Benzoin; Base notes: Patchouli, Labdanum, Opoponax

2x Art and Olfaction Award winner Luca Maffei, (who composed 1.2) created this is not a blue bottle 1.5 exclusively composed of neo synthetic molecules. She was inspired by the universal principle of Yang. Described as an aldehydic citrus, "solar strength encounters the subtle transparency of the aldehydes to attain a fresh Minerality. Solar, Ozonic Citrus, Floral Aldehyde and Mineral, a perfume that is almost imaginary." Top notes: Aldehydes, Ozonic Citrusy Accord; Heart notes: Karismal Super, Floral Fantasy; Base notes: Ambroxan, Musk T, Mineral Accord
