Last year Contributor Liza Wade wrote the article  Whisky Chic: The Scents of the Rat Pack. Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Malt, created in 2009,  then re-released as a Limited Edition in 2013 was the scent of Dean Martin. Thierry Mugler is known for their many flankers, so what separates A*Men Pure Malt from the rest of the perfume pack? Today our modern day smooth dude Sebastian Jara of the YouTube Channel  Looking Feeling Smelling Great,  and founder of a popular Facebook Group reviews and revisits one of his favorite scents.

    Bastian always creates a sense of intrigue when he speaks about a fragrance he likes..

    And since I’ve never been blessed by this scent,i’ll take his word.

    Something very special about this fragrance that isn’t like any of the other designers and that it is quite pleasant and boozy.

    I love Sebastian’s reviews! This one was great because it revisited a classic designer. One that hasn’t been reviewed in a while, but I’m sure everyone in the fragcom would consider it hall of fame. One of my favorites!

    I can name a dozen reasons why I liked sebastian’s review but the main reason for loving his reviews is the way he is passionate about fragrances and the details of the notes he describes about each fragrance!

    What I enjoy the most in his videos is the format really. It’s in the right spot in between too long, too much of literal note breakdown, look at the presentation etc… And too short so important info can be missing

    To be honest I’m not a fan of many AMen flankers as I find most very redundant and boring. But the original and Pure Malt are two big loved ones for me (And Pure Havane is also nice) but I don’t have a bottle of Pure Malt yet so this is why I’m very excited to enter this giveaway. Thank you by the way.

    Enjoyed this quite a but,and it’s great to hear about stuff that’s not new. I really want to try Pure Malt – its been on my to-try list for ages! I’ve only tried Angel, believe it oe not, so I’ve got no favorites yet, lol. In the US

    I like the fact that he re-reviewed this frag and it still stands up to the old bottles. Good for Mugler! I have samples of pure havane and would love to try pure malt! Count me in!

    The thing I love about Sebastian’s videos is how apparent his love of perfumery is. Too many fragrance reviewers come across stale and clinical but Sebastian is always entertaining and I love his more relaxed and conversational style. I’ve never had the opportunity to try Pure Malt so I would love to win! The only Mugler I’m familiar with is Mugler Cologne-such a wonderful fresh & soapy scent which I feel gets unfortunately lost in the shadow of the A*Men line

    I love how Sebastian walks us through the notes and character of Pure Malt in a way that we can experience the essence of the fragrance as accurately as humanly possible without actually trying it. I tested Pure Malt just a couple of days ago, and I fell in love, I’ve got to get a bottle! Sebastian is right, it is intoxicating! As a new fraghead, I’m glad Sabastian has introduced me to a great site like CafleureBon!

    Sebastian has been passionate about this line for quite a while. I finally tracked Pure Malt down and it was certainly worth the effort. Since we have similar tastes in scents, A*Men did not disappoint. Sebastian offers detailed reviews in an accessible manner that has kept a subscriber for years. Thank you for the giveaway

    I’m very familiar with Pure Malt. I loved how Sebastian focused on how unique it is in comparison with other designers I’ve found in department stores. It’s truly a masterpiece and Sebastian did it justice with this review.

    I really do appreciate Sebastian’s reviews. I’ve talked to him many times and his knowledge regarding fragrances is phenominal. I always appreciate his blunt honest and his ability to really go into depth about his fragrances. He never really skims the surface, but instead dives in deep.

    I haven’t ever got my nose on Pure Malt, but I did with Pure Havane. PH was a wonderful fragrance that was very sweet–not cloying, but very well rounded.

    Sebastian is a very special reviewer to me on whose recommendation and analysis, I have purchased several fragrances. His reviews are very crisp, accurate in his understanding of the creation and very informative to consumers of all types and this video was no exception. He is more of a guide to me than a reviewer and I always trust his judgment. I cannot wait to try this after watching his video.

    Sebastian is so right. Pure malt smells so unique. First sniff of this stuff and i was in heaven. I never smell anything like this before. Needless to say, I went on to buy 2 more bottles for family and friends plus Pure Havane to try out also.

    Yeaaaa….a men’s fragrance. You had me at boozy. Interesting how they age this fragrance. I’m positive I would like this but oddly have never tried it. Somehow I keep passing it over. I am only familiar with the original Angel which I had many, many years ago. It was unique and amazing. Always garnered compliments. If I could create a fragrance it would be quite similar to Pure Malt. All the right ingredients for my skin. I’m ready for my wearing…In the USA. Awesome review Sebastian. Keep em coming.

    Couple of the things of the many, I liked about this review from Sebastian. His brevity in description: A*Men DNA in an oak barrel:) And more importantly, his enthusiasm in this review is wonderful. You can tell how much he really likes this fragrance and doesn’t just rehash some stats about it:) Nice work Sebastian and thanks Cafleurebon as always for the opportunity!

    what I like about Sebastian’s review of Thierry Mugler’s pure malt is the way he describes the dry down he is spot on. Yes I have experience with pure malt after I blind bought a bottle of Thierry Mugler’s pure malt after watching Sebastian’s first review of pure malt best blind buy ever.

    What a great review Sebastian. Thierry Mugler Pure Malt is a staple for any fragrance collection. It’s an amazing scent so gorgeous and so unique. Thierry Mugler always do a great job with A*men flankers. My favorite is Pure Havane but is very hard to decide because Pure Malt is amazing too.

    Sebastian is a great reviewer. He hit the nail on the head saying that women love the scent. I sampled once and received complement after complement after commenting. This would be a great way to add this great fragrance to my collection!

    First and foremost, Thank you for this awesome giveaway!

    As always, Sebastian gives more to imagine than simply reading out notes on a specific fragrance. I enjoyed learning about the process of the making of Pure Malt. Aging the fragrance in oak barrels and fine whiskey is definitely interesting and you can certainly smell the richness in this fragrance.

    I’ve had the pleasure of sampling this beauty and would be beyond ecstatic if I win this giveaway!

    Have become a big fan of Sebastian’s reviews. He gives succinct information about the fragrance, and you can tell when he loves it as he does with Pure Malt. I haven’t gotten to sample it yet. Really digging on Pure Havane.

    I have watched Sebastian’s reviews and I may not agree with all of his choices but there are also choices I could not agree with more and this is one of those. Mugler has a pretty good record in flankers and Sebastian finds a good balance between technical information and impression which can be understood by most people. I agree with Sebastian Pure Malt is, indeed, intoxicating. My fav. Mugler remains Angel. thanks so much for the draw. I am in the US.

    Pure Malt defines how beautiful and unique a designer fragrance can be. I believe that the hype behind this fragrance make Thierry Mugler re-release this fragrance ‘limited edition’ fragrance and in my opinion they did the right decision.
    My favorite Mugler fragrance is Ultra Zest.

    I have gone thru multiple decants o this juice. I love it for the same reasons as Sebastion does….boozy, gourmand, patchouli……it truly is an awesome fragrance!

    Great review. This perfume has a unique caramelized touch with the high quality malt, one of the best scent boozy I’ve ever tasted. My first bottle of this perfume finished very fast used a lot but my favorite is the Angel.

    I am very familiar with Sebastian’s reviews.. He already knows that I am a big fan. I enjoyed his take on this classic in the fragrance community because everything he said was right on the money. Pure malt is just one of those fragrances that differentiates itself from everything else from the very first sniff.. There was a reviewer awhile back that really shined the light on this fragrance in the youtube community. Curious if anyone here knows who this person is that I am referring to… Here is a hint….     Ah boozy, woody gourmand?!? Right up my alley, and what a nice prezzie it would be for my Valentine’s Birthday! I appreciate that Sebastian points out that this is a great value (which is a consideration for many of us) and that it is not what EVERY guy out there is wearing.     I have enjoyed Sebastian’s review. I agree with him in everything he said. My bottle of Purê Malt finished one year ago and I need to make a replacement. Purê Havane is also one of the stars of the Purê line actually I prefer Purê Have but Purê Malt is amazing too.

    I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. They’re spot on and quite insightful. I’ve only ever smelt the original Amen which was a sillage and longevity monster on my skin but I’ve always wanted to try the flankers.

    Very nice video Sebastian. When we talk about Thierry Mugler for me is very hard to choose the best fragrance of the brand. When you have fragrance like A*Men, Pure Malt, Pure Havane, Pure Coffee, Pure Leather, Pure Wood, Taste of Fragrance now Ultra Zest. It’s a big arcenal that turn Mugler one of the best designer brand out there. Now is coming Pure Tonka and I’m sure that this one won’t disappoint too.

    Sebastian’s review got me wondering why I haven’t spent more time checking out the Thierry Mugler line in general: if nothing else, that house produces fragrance with big personalities! I have a tiny sample spray of Angel Rose, and it’s nuclear powered. A*Men Pure Malt sounds like it’s more relaxed. I’d love to win A*Men Pure Malt because it sounds like the kind of thing I’d enjoy smelling wafting off my fiance. I’ve been gradually converting him to the dark side, and he appreciates a gourmand twist. It doesn’t hurt that the bottle design is really cool! Thanks for the draw, I’m in the US.

    What I liked the most of this video is how Sebastian compared Pure Malt to a niche fragrance, because of how unique it is. Besides Pure Malt, I also enjoy Pure Havane a lot! Lastly, I also liked that he introduced me to the cafleurebon site, which seems quite interesting.

    I really enjoy all the review about Pure Malt. I know that Sebastian has a very big collection but even so he already consumed two bottles, I think he is drinking Pure Malt to wear 3 bottles of it. My favorite is Pure Havane, but Pure Malt is close behind. 🙂

    What I liked most about the review was that he gave a good description of the fragrance. Describing the fruitiness, mixed with the oak and boozy accords, along with the signature Amen/Mugler patchouli note, gave me a good indication of what the fragrance would smell like, and really piqued my interest. Especially since the vanilla note common in bourbons and typical boozy accords would pair perfectly with the kind of spicy, creamy, and decadent rendition of patchouli which Angel and Amen are known for
