Kaya Sorhaindo
"OLFACTOPHILIA” is a series of audio-olfactive works by the Berlin based artists . (dots) in collaboration with artistic perfumery Folie À Plusieurs. Beginning November 30th until the 23rd of December 2016, 18 fragrances developed by Symrise perfumers with corresponding music by(dots) will be released consecutively at the New Museum Store. Each audio-olfactive piece aims recreate the sensory and emotional experience associated with 18 forms of paraphilia. In addition, the release will coincide with an evolving window display until January 2017.

On each day that The New Museum is open between November 30th through December 23rd, a new paraphilia will be explored. A fixed amount of 30 Art Boxes will be offered for sale per day of the corresponding paraphilia, containing a 12ml fragrance and audio cassette tape at $43.00. Following the presentation of the last paraphilia on December 23rd a box set will be offered for sale with the complete collection of 18 fragrances packaged with a vinyl record.
