 CHANEL LES 4 OMBRES: Tweed through the Ages: 1920-2014

By now, our readers know that NEW, CHANEL and EYESHADOWS are three words that excite me. Just when I thought that there would be no quad compacts for Fall, dang if CHANEL didn’t have a surprise up their nearly100 year old tweed sleeves.

Tweed is as synonymous with CHANEL as interlocking Cs and the number 5.  For Fall, LES 4 OMBRES comes in eight original harmonies (202 Tisse Camelia, 204 Tisse Vendome, 208  Tisse  Gabrielle, 214 Tisse Mademoiselle, 224 Tisse Riviera, 226 Tisse  Rivoli , 228 Tisse Cambon, 232 Tisse Venetien and a Limited Edition #234 Poesie (making it nine), inspired by one of the iconic fabrics of Coco Chanel. Since, I don’t own a tweed CHANEL jacket, so these shadow palettes will do nicely.

    OMG… my Interlocking C’s! The Queen of the Smokey eye yes herself EIC aka Editor in Tweed, I do not own a Chanel jacket either. In Southern Utah a Tweed Jacket would never do, unless I wanted to attract a rather bizarre response which I DO NOT! So a Tweed pallet suits that need to a “T”weed. Love the Vendome as well as the Riviera.

    The applicators that come in the quad are velour. They give a completely different look than a sponge applicator or a brush. The quads are not frosted, but have a luminous sheen which will soften aging and camouflage lines and wrinkles on the lids. Good news for everyone over 50!
