CB I Hate Perfume and Christopher Brosius led the way for niche perfumery in Brooklyn. After almost ten years at their company headquarters and retail flagship on Wythe Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, CB I HATE PERFUME has moved even further into the borough to a new gallery space in Bushwick. The new address is: 318 Maujer Street, 3rd floor between Waterbury & Morgan), Brooklyn, NY 11206.  In a primarily industrial neighborhood, the new gallery space is intentionally more isolated than the previous Williamsburg location, as the company rethinks how it does business within the boutique luxury market.  Along with the new address comes a new strategy for how the luxury perfume brand intends to engage and interact with their customer. With a desire to give his clients the most exclusive and personal shopping experience possible, Christopher Brosius, the founder and perfumer has decided that from Tuesday-Thursday the shop will receive customers by appointment only. While an appointment will be necessary to visit the gallery Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12pm-6pm, it will be open to street foot-traffic on Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm-6pm. Customers will receive personal attention as they shop the store for CB’s cult scents, and concierge services will be available for those who book appointments, including perks such as refreshments and a car service to and from Manhattan. Another change that comes with the new address is the fact that Brosius will resume his custom perfume service. With a price tag starting around $10K, the custom perfume service offers clients an opportunity to work with Brosius directly to create an original, personalized scent. While the service is officially being offered again, there is already a waitlist so interested parties are encouraged to enquire for more information on availability starting in Fall 2014. While the soft opening for the new location was Saturday, March 1st, a grand opening will follow on Saturday, April 26th, 2014.
