Vilhelm Parfumerie Opus Kore Review (Jerome Epinette) + Technicolor Spring Draw

Vilhelm Parfumerie Opus Kore is a story of the anticipation and arrival of spring, composed by Master Perfumer Jerome Epinette.  And “compose” is an apt word here. It is as if Mr. Epinette is a master conductor of a grand orchestra with his baton poised still in the air.  This orchestral burst of life is in the first spray of Opus Kore, an Ode to Spring. There is the joyous rush of vivid color – pinks, yellow, greens, all backed by a clear, cloudless (and finally warm!) blue sky.

Commodity Velvet bold review

Commodity Rose Bold has deep notes of vanilla, rose and amber which are even darker than the original,(composed in 2018 by Jerome Epinette) with an overdose of patchouli and labdanum. Dark and dense it certainly is. When I wear Commodity Velvet Bold I notice the spicy labdanum and dark and dirty patchouli almost immediately.  It is as if I just rode my motorcycle out in the woods to a clearing where my friends have a roaring bonfire going strong

Floral Street Arizona Bloom review

In the award winning Floral Street Arizona Bloom, the combination of salted musks, oak moss, cashmere woods and black pepper create what I would call a ‘Sand accord’ – both the pre-sunrise kind of sand, cool from the moon, stars and night and the hot, sparkling, crusty, sun-baked kind of sand. There is also the mineralic scent of heated rocks, shining with a beautiful black patina. You get a sense of the vast expanse of time – the eons, the epochs, the ages – this rock has taken to achieve this shiny black tattoo patina from the sun, so gloriously shiny in that sun.
