CaFleureBon Favorite Summer Scents: Part 1 + Billie Holiday “Lady Day” Summertime Draw

The weather has been playing with us, here on the East Coast; one week unbearably warm, but the past few days chilly and dreary. Summer is only eight days away, what the climate has in store we do not know— but we know what we will be wafting as we swing into summertime. What we love about summer scents? It’s a great chance to grab a glass of something cold, a trashy book, a tree, a favorite patch of lawn, or a porch swing. Think cooling thoughts.

You may have heard my grousing over our recent run of summer heat, high humidity and air in the orange zone aka air you can chew. What’s a girl to do to stay cool in an old house with only two window air conditioners? Children, it’s all about the green – not political and not necessarily natural – just sweet, crisp cooling green. An illusion will do nicely.

Chanel Cristalle EdT is a hot weather mainstay. It goes to Florida with me when I do my snowbird imitation and I find it perfect for just about any time, any heat index, any place. It sparkles with its bit of lemon and bright green notes (upper case, please) and, really, oakmoss. There’s no way to feel you can feel wilted in this one.

L’Artisan Verte Violette…we’ll blame mummy for my recent infatuation with violets. A soft gauzy green opening, a sharpness akin to the sudden glare of sunlight, dark violets hidden in the roots of the cedar trees. It dries down to a delightfully simple violet and woods that somehow manage to both soothe and revive during the afternoon rush hour. I think I should bring back the tradition of the scented hanky.

The Pink Room No. 1 was designed as an ode to Proust and childhood memory. Sarah, I’m forever grateful. It takes me back to a summer house in Rehobeth and a back yard with rose bushes, hedges, and lemonade after a day on the beach. “But, MB, No. 1 has jasmine. A big white and you don’t do big whites.” Yes, my darlings, I’m aware of that, but I close my eyes, inhale, and it takes me back to a distant, shady, safer place.

L’Artisan Poivre Piquant sounds counter-intuitive, but the reasoning goes that hot spices in food and drink cool the system. The story goes that the inspiration was from the Kama Sutra. I’m too old to much care and the joints wouldn’t co-operate anyway, but this – this I can handle. White pepper, fresh cracked over sweet creaminess. A secret revival tactic and crazy wonderful…. just be careful around little people with. Nose: Bertrand Duchaufour

Guerlain Jicky, my beloved, my olfactory version of an AMEX card. I just don’t leave home without it. Some of you have heard me gush for years, so I’ll spare you. It is quite simply my desert island scent – lavender, bergamot, herbs, iris, a touch of skank to remind you you’re not a child anymore, but neither are you yet destined for the old folks home. It refreshes the spirit in a whiff of bracing cool.

I tread softly during the summer. My neighbors, many of them fair-skinned – favoring summer heat, revel in our heavy New England warmth.I would, could I modify my lively, purposeful pacing and chill as if I were in the Caribbean-BUT I CAN’T !

So I perfume myself, instead 😉

Penhaligon's Amaranthine: Bring it ON.This heavy-hitting indolic floral is just my speed; it follows me like an ardent lover, slightly sweaty and full of promises of delight, which it delivers in spades. Wear it, and tickle someone’s fancy.

Soivohle’s Violets and Rainwater: Instant refreshment. This dewy, ethereal violet garners compliments from many corners; it really lingers without being crass or fussy.Folks breathe this in with delight…and so will you.

Parfums de Nicolai’s Le Temps d’Une Fête: Mossy, earthy green, fresh, lilting, and spectacularly chypre the way chypre ought to be.“To the shady woods now wend we, and there the midday spend we..Fa la la la la la la la la. la la…fa la la la la la , la la “.And how.

DSH Bancha Extreme: More IS better. Zesty, zingy citrus marries tea, with Dawndear’s deft touch. Cool down and grab your Zen.

L’Artisan Parfumeur’s Nuit de Tubéreuse:Duchaufour does it again. Polarizing perfume, but if it sings for you, it’s a stunner: woody, spicy, floral that can soften and linger- with a character all its own.Blooms in the heat- if it blooms for you

Annick Goutal Eau de Sud: Very little makes me long for Provence as this does.Herbal, caressing, haunting as the mistral.Espadrilles, le pont du Gard, pastis in your glass- no ice, please.

Michelyn Camen, EIC

Its all about sensual woody drydowns and bright citrus top notes- from sun up to sundown.

Quercus: Nice and crisp for a day that's starting out cool, but promises to be hot and humid. Created in 1996 by Penhaligon’s, Quercus is my favorite of the entire Penhaligon's range.(BD forgive me). I was introduced to the legacy of Penhaligon’s rather late in life, by Brian Kurtz, (who has returned to the Company after a hiatus) in 2007. Together, we toured the Penhaligon’s store (alas no more on Madison Avenue). A dream of a scent for citrus lovers who don't want too much green. Wonderful woody notes (and spice at the top) at the base are as quirky as its name EUDE to summer and everything delightful. .A favorite with Jude Law and Sienna Miller; so unisexy. Gahh gaahhh galbumum!!!

Top Notes – Cardamom, Galbanum, Lime, Bergamot, Lemon, Mandarin Middle Notes – Jasmine, Muguet Base Notes – Sandalwood, Treemoss, Musk Crisp

Giggle Water was Kedra Hart's, the founder of Opus Oil’s, personal scent that I begged her to release to the public. She obliged. It is my vampy "day and play" scent all summer long. As layers of clothing are peeled off, my skin is exposed to the warmth of the sun. When a fruity floral is well crafted, it performs a burleseque on my skin. .

Absolutes:Tunisian Orange,Flower Absolute, Egyptian Orange Flower Absolute, Orange Flower H20 Absolute,& Bitter Orange Flower Absolute), Honey, Wild Orange, Mandarin, Peach, Honey, Gardenia, Beach Found Ambergris, White Musk & Sandalwood

Pour Toi: The book by Colette and movie "Gigi" (who can forget the gamine Leslie Caron’s role of a young tomboy who grows into a cigarette smoking woman of the world) was the inspiration behind this bright and sophisticated fruity floral perfume. This is a perfect scent for those hazy nights out at the summerhouse (or have some fun with your Cheri in your own house). Tres charmant et absolument pour moi-lemon, cassis, grapefruit open like an ingenue wide eyed , but by dusk her lids are askance, sultry -sandalwood, musk and vanilla drydown.

Mandarine As much as we complain about the heat, the summer passes too quickly. I was thrilled when L'Artisan Parfumeur brought back this burst of orange splash created by Olivia Giacobetti in 2006. Its a limited edition , formerly known as Mandarine Tout Simplement and like summertime, all too soon it will be gone.

For our Summertime draw:

One commentor will receive 15ml of the not yet released Giggle Water from the yet to be released Les Bohemes collection.

One commentor will receive 50ml of Penhaligon's Quercus or Amarnathine (please specify)

One commentor has a choice between L'Artisan Parfumeur Mandarine OR 75 ml L'Artisan Verte Violette (please specify)

One commentor can choose a purse size spray of Pink Room Pour Toi

We are fanning ourselves from our sponsors' largesse , so all you need to do is to tell us what you love to do in the summer, and /or if you are a green or orange (if you have a particular fragrance in mind put it in)….Draw closes  10pm EST June 14,2011

  • I love to read. travel, and go kayaking in the summer. My favorite summer scents are the YSL Opium summer flankers, L’air du Desert Marocain, and Crown Eau de Quinine. Please enter me in the drawing-I have no preference and would be delighted with any of the prizes. Thank you.

  • Carlos Powell says:

Great article! Seem to be favoring Ida’s choices. In the summer, I love the beach beach beach! Love to wear citrus in the warmer weather…TF Neroli Portofino, Heeley Oranges & Lemons, etc. Would love that L’aP Mandarine. 🙂

  • I’m def. a green! I love PdN Vie de Chateau for the summer! and Chanel 22. During the summer I enjoy spending time with my kids and my horse! If I can fit in a few poetry readings and writers’ workshop, I’m in heaven!

  • Monica H. says:

I alternate between green and orange… so can I be both? I find myself layering orange blossom based scents with other green scents during the hot humid summer of Taiwan. Giggle juice sounds MARVELOUS!

  • Armando Martinez says:

Hmm… when the weather heats up, I feel like I’m pulling more for deeper, woodsy scents and when it’s cold, vice versa!

  • During the summer I take my girls to the pool everyday! We are very fair skinned I have a toe head and a red head and by sheer determination I will take them out in the sun but I will not let them get burned!! I wear fragrence to the pool and in our yard but because they find it hilarious to splash me I mostly smell like chlorine. I love taking the kids to the pool because I see the glow in their eyes. I am orange. Sadly, so far this summer we have had multiple tornado watches and warnings so our pool time has been very limited this year.
Tornado threats have brought us back in touch with our basement where we play dress up games so thagt is becoming a favorite summer fun time activity.
As for chewable air, boy do I sympathize. I lived in New England while I went to college. Great beaches but punishing relentless humidity in the midst of summer.
I think the fragrence that piques my interest the most is the L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarine. I love citrus in summer and occasionally in the middle of the winter just for a little bit of fun. I find the limited edition label as compelling as gravity. The more that I cant have it the more I want it. And if others cant get it all the better:) Fragrantly speaking In a nice way of course.

  • The name Giggle Water is brilliant! Try not smiling while saying that.I wear orange blossom and green and anything with osmanthus in the summer. And neroli and, and. I think summer fragrances might just be my favorites. Jasmine fragrances seem to sing during the summer. Ida’s choices seem closest to mine as I adore Nuit de Tuberose and Amaranthine in the heat.

  • scentual healing says:

I have never tried quercus. but the reviews are really good on makeup alley so I think i would like that. i love air conditioning and white sangria with orange slices in the summer

  • I love beachy, citrusy, breezy scents for summer. I am a fan of Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino and also Byredo’s Gypsy Water. Please enter me in the drawing.

I’d absolutely love the Pink Room Pour Toi purse spray!

  • An awesome article! I like travel in summer – it’s very short here in Siberia)) so it’s alvays a pleasure to make it longer somewhere in Spain or in Greece in September, when it’s already rainy autumn here. Some of my citrus fragranses are travelling with me in these trips – Eau d’Orange Vert, Cerdat Intense and Balle de Match by PdN, but I do enjoy green frags in summer as well- esp. with angelica (French Lover simply shines in summer heat!)
    Thank you for the draw!
It would be great to win L’Artisan Mandarine

  • When my dogs were younger (and so was I), my favorite summer activity was competing with them in outdoor agility shows. It was so much fun and I got some exercise at the same time! Plus the rosettes and ribbon awards were pretty and made me proud of my furkids.

I have no preference for the scents; they all sound lovely. The Giggle Water is definitely intriguing!

  • I am definitely green. Summertime is fun for outdoor activities. Do not laugh, but i love to go fishing and camping. Bonfires are so much fun too in the evening, roasting marshmallows, making smores. Going downtown Stillwater and walking along the river, listening to outdoor bands. Yes summertime is fun time. You now mentioned several fragrances that i definitely gravitate torwards. In my current line up L’Artisan Nuit de Tubereuse for sure. I am also trying the DSH Bancha Extreme, shockingly as tea based fragrances and i do not get along this one is amazing on my skin. And then i see after just testing this last week, you mention Soivohle Violets and Rainwater…yes that is a beauty. I also love Amaranthine. I think the fragrance i would love to be entered for would be the L’Artisan Verte Violette, i have never tried it and always have wanted too. Thank you for such a fabulous draw.

  • Summer in Georgia: I belong in the mountains, floating down the river, wading along the edge, jumping from rock to rock or napping in the shade. I’m definitely green.

  • Being a working girl in SF, summer is pretty much like every other season. But I do enjoy looking at the sun dresses and longing for a day to actually wear them. This year I finally have a companion who likes to take small trips, so we will head out of town a few times, maybe spend the night someplace with a pool.

I have many lightweight scents for summer – more than I even realized. La Tulipe, Amamranthine, Vettiveru, SMN Iris, Mugler Cologne, Sunshine, Prairie Nymph… also headed toward some Tilleul.

I would love to try the Mandarine or the Giggle Water!

  • I like to travel if my work allows for it or to visit my family living in other country. I am a green girl – Chanel 19 for example. Thanks for entering me in the drawing!

  • angie Cox says:

Simple pleasures like sitting in the garden in Summer are my happiest times. I love Verte Violette , Berdoues Violette splash and green scents like no 19 with a dash of added violet .

  • I’m an orange – hair at least. I love watching Wimbledon in the summer and wearing anything with citrus or orange blossom and I would love to win the Giggle Water.

  • I love to go to the beach all year round- oddly, summer is not my favorite season for that, though I do make use of it daily! For my summer landscape, I veer towards the green. I love lush, green trees set against the blue sky, somehow in the midst of all that heat & humidity, the green makes me feel like I can breathe! In perfume, I can be green or orange, but my current favorite orange scent is Memoire Liquide Soleil Liquide. It’s so pretty and sooo orange! For this draw, though, the one that has my heart by far is Penhaligon’s Amaranthine. Though I’d be thrilled to win any of them, Amaranthine is the one I’ve so wanted a chance to try.

  • I love to take care of my plants -hundreds indoors year round . But in the summer , they spill outdoors , the herbs flourish and the tomato vines give their boundless fruit
( what smell is more summery than tomato leaf ? ) And the peppers !
I can’t believe I have never sniffed Quercus – I want that bottle soooo BAD !
I have been rocking the big whites – Clive Christian No 1 , Amouage Gold , Fragonard Murmure , Piguet Baghari….but I love a good green too .
    Thanks for the draw

  • mariotgomez says:

I enjoy spending time with friends either hanging outside in the garden over coffee, tea or cocktails.

Either of the scents from L’Artisan would be fine with me.

  • cassandra franklin says:

My best summertime memories are from when I was a young girl about 14 helping out my parents friends in their milkbar..I made a great shake but my burgers were always a bit well done…It was a coastal seaside town and everyone knew everyone except for the tourists…My nickname was Charcoal..I was paid peanuts but was allowed all the pine lime splices I could eat…Summertime scents to me are cool, refreshing and easy going…Just like summer itself…

  • What a nice draw!!! Favorite thing to do in summer – walk to one of the three local ice cream shops that close in the winter. 🙂 Orange or green? If orange is HOT, and green is COOL, then I prefer green…unless I’m in the Caribbean, where the two combine in a tropical paradise – hot sun and cool rain.

  • Thanks for your comments so far , now if the weather would cooperate that would be grand
Orange just means a citrus lover and warm fragrances
Green is someone who likes those notes in their perfume violet is a good example leafy or metallic
    Most are a combination
Obviously by my choices I don’t love green fragrances (except cristalle and bancha extreme do work for me somehow )
I used to bake on the beach but now I prefer a cooler spot out of the sun near a forest or a shaded grove but ways near water
I don’t tolerate extreme heat well and hate humidity.
My favorite part of summer is it seems less stressful than the rest of the year
    Except for weekend traffic

  • Personally, I love the citrus family during the hottest part of the summer! Jo Malone Grapefruit and Acqua di Parma Mediterraneo Arancia are two favorites. I love the sound of both the L’Artisan fragranaces…please keep me from melting!

  • My favorite thing to do in the summer is to make day trips to the beach. Love to hang out on the sand (with proper sun protection, of course!), swim in the ocean, go for long walks, have a nice dinner. As for green or orange, I’d have to say green, as orange (or citrus) notes have a tendency to go sour on my skin.

  • I’m most definitely green 🙂 Being a Taurus, an earth sign, I’m very earthbound & love everything green – the greener the better.
Chanel N°19 & Cristalle EdT are among my favorite summer scents. I can appreciate a little orange here & there, but if I had to choose I’d always go for green, because it feels more “me”, more comfy & tender (even though many people describe green scents as rather rough, IMO they’re cozier).

In summer (together with spring my favorite time of the xear) I love spending as much time as possible in our garden. In Germany you never know how many warm days we’ll get, so it’s all about making the most out of every sunny day. I’ll do some gardening in the shade, then relax with a cool drink or an icecream in the sun. That’s basically all I do & it feels like heaven on earth.

  • I love to go to the beach in the summer. I love the salt water on my skin. I love to get in the water and walk on the sand. I’ve been wearing lots of Apres L’Ondee this summer (it has arrived in the South with a vengeance already!) So, is that green or orange? I love both!

  • I am definitely green. Love wearing Vent Vert during the hot, humid weather. In the summer I love to sit out on my back porch in the evening and look at the sky and take in the cooler breeze of evening. Day trips to Cape Cod to eat fried clams and kulfi ice cream! I am a huge fan of Amaranthine and would love to try Quercus.

  • d3m0lici0n says:

I am totally green, and today i am wearing iris ukiyoe. I don’t really like hot hot weather but I think the only cool thing about it is that I can wear all my favorite greens. Like Iris Ukiyoe, Sous Le Vent and all the vetiver based scents I have like Sel de Vetiver, Annick Goutal Vetiver, CdG Vettiveru and Guerlain Vetiver. Oh I was forgetting in mentioning Dior Granville!!!

  • marcopietro says:

My summer is green, my favoutites fragrances are Green Water by Fath, Eau Guerriere by Parfumerie Generale and Geranium pour Monsieur By Edition de Parfumes. Please enter me in the draw for Penhaligon’s Quercus.

  • Summer in Texas has announced itself w/ brutal authority. There is no beach close enough, no lake clear enough, no pool empty enough. There is however The Kimball, The Modern, Dallas Museum of Art and all manner of air-conditioned pursuits. I am both curious orange ( Atelier_Cologne orange sanguine) and curious green ( Kilian A Taste of Heaven)!! Opus Oils ‘Giggle Water” sounds just the thing, but I would be ecstatic w/ any one of them !!

P.S. Today I rail against the heat w. F. Malle’s “Carnal flower” that’ll show ’em..

  • Summer, summer, summer… here in the midwest is far to short and fleeting. In fact we’ve had a somewhat odd start this spring, from the weather being quite cold to some very warm and balmy days. I love the summer, and all of my summer activities; gardening (the smell of the earth and all the heady flowers in bloom), harvesting the wonderful veggies and herbs from my garden, hanging outside with my kids, and hitting up our many farmer’s markets (glorious, glorious days!!!)

I consider myself and “orange”, but I’d be happy to try any of the offerings! Thanks for the chance 🙂

  • Wow, Michelyn…cool I love what you wrote…..I still feel that this is such a cheeky, naughty and yet dark fragrance all at once. I can smell the cigars and feel the bubbles bursting uner my nose can’t you?

Thank you for your belief and love cherie
    S Pink xxxxx bisous xxxxxxx

  • Summer in So. California is divine. I like to go the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach during the summer. I love being around the art and the artists. 🙂

Enter me in the draw for Sarah’s Pour Toi.

    xo –
    ~Dawn

  • ah, ess — summer!
hiking in the forest up in the mountains is my idea of a perfect summer outing.
much as a *also* like the beach.
the mountians is where it’s *at* for me.

    so — green.

    definitely.

  • Gardening brings me to Zen in ways I never thought possible. As recently as three years ago I would not have believed I could just sit in one spot and merely observe the backyard wildlife for more than an hour. The garden is one of those rare places where this restless gal uncovers heretofore hidden pools of patience.

Green is good, but orange scents are statistically running more hit than miss for me. And on that note, toss me some of that limited edition Giacobetti greatness, please.

  • summer.
    hiking, long walks, outside lunches
bbq-s with friends, kayaking, picking blackberries
reading a book on the balcony in the evening
chilled white wine, early sunny mornings, greens…

summer is the time of the year to simply be, live, experience.

i love both green and orange fragrances,
i’m now longing for a bottle of Lancome O de l’Orangerie,
but Verte Violette has been on my list earlier!

all the other fragrances are also delightful and i’m curious to try them all.

  • oh, meant to say, that Verte Violette was there first.
i’d be so happy to own it 🙂

  • sonia garcia says:

I am green, my favorites are Aqua Allegoria Mentafolia, Sous La Vent, and Geranium pour Monsieur, i love summer and fresh green fragrances!

  • I’m both green and orange, not sure I could choose.

In summer I like hiking and eating summer fruits (not at the same time though). Everything else stays approximately the same for me all year around.

  • For me, this summer will be all about white flowers. Well, jasmne is in flower in the summer, isn’t it?

So, I kinda follow the rules of mother nature and get hot in the summer. A la nuit, Lutens, N°5, Chanel, and Fracas, Piguet…

  • Heather M. says:

Ok, I must try Giggle Water, it sounds amazing.

My favorite activities during the summer include listening to Nina Simone in general, she tends to be the playlist for summers. Also, mimosas! Avoiding the beach at all costs until fall. I do love riding on a ferry.

It is going to be a green summer for me! Muah!

  • I think I’m both, I love both citrus and green fragrances, but I do tend to use citrus more, especially in those hot and humid days.

Enter me in the drawing, I’d really like to win the Pour Toi Purse Spray. Thanks!

  • Well on the summer I’m both green and orange. I love to dive and read books, listening to the sea and breathing the sea air mixed with smell of pines and cedar…

  • Visiting with friends in the garden or around the bonfire enjoying both the summer weather and their company is something I love to do in the summer. Both orange and green inspire me…I wear what I have left of the sadly discontinued Gobin Daude Seve exquise and Sous le buis. And also enjoy Dior Escale a portofino and Bigarade concentree.

I love the beach but do not favor beachy scents or monoi oil. And would like to find a beach scent that wasn’t cloying and actually reflected the smell of the air and water in a more realistic interpretation.

  • Michellle Hunt says:

Is it shameful to admit that my favorite part of summer is walking into an air-conditioned room? Splashing on a sparking perfume is glorious too! I cannot limit myself to green or orange….it depends on my mood.

I would just love to win L’Artisan Parfumeur Verte Violette or the Pour Toi.

Thank you so much for the opportunity 🙂

  • I’m another who can’t choose whether I am green or orange. The ever growing number of perfumes in my collection shows my indecisiveness! But I would say I tilt orange more often in summer. I’ve been spraying alot of L’artisan special Orange Flower harvest. Hermes Rose Pampalune is as easy as putting on a summer shift (ha, the word “shift” shows my age i guess!). It is comfortable and cooling to me.
All the selections sound wonderful and I would be happy with any of them, if I won. However, Amarnathine seems to be calling to me. Thanks to you and your sponsors for such wonderful draws!

  • I like walks on the beach, that is my favorite thing to do, i like both green and orange, love Sel de Vetiver, Geranium pour Monsieur, Orange Sanguine and Bigarrade Concentree.
    Thnks

  • I think I am more orange in the Summer when it comes to perfume (citruses abound, Eau du Sud being one of the Summer big faves), but green when it comes to colors to wear or things to do.

My favorite things for the Summer include tanning on my lawn for a couple of minutes then going into the shade with a book; shopping at the Farmers Market and cooking fresh meals from heirloom tomatoes, fava beans, etc.; grilling out; going to the beach…

If I were to win, from the Penhaligon’s I’d choose Quercus and from the L’Artisans Mandarin.

Thanks for the draw and stay cool!

  • Audrey H. says:

I love to go to the beach and just float in the ocean. It gets so warm and humid this is sheer relief and so relaxing. As for green or orange, it depends on my mood, I guess 🙂
This is my first visit here, I saw this site mentioned in a tweet and had to come for a visit, am bookmarking. Thanks for the fabulous chance to win one of these lovely scents, all I can say is wow! 🙂

  • I live near the beach, and love the short dips in the ocean, the being outside; in parks, cafés, gardens.
I love Olivia Giacobetti’s scents so L’artisan Mandarine would be my choise, and I guess that does rather make me an orange summer person.
Wearing citrus fragrances in the summer is wonderful, and another reason I love this season. And also a spray of last summers favourite fragrance is a wonderful way of remembering the season once it’s gone.
    Thanks for the wonderful draw:-)

  • taffynfontana says:

I love both citrus for the mid week it gives life a little zest and green on the weekend it relaxes me and helps me decompress from all the drama at work. I have been dying to try Penhaglion’s Amaranthine sounds so lush and sensuous that it is at the top of my must try list for the summer.

  • I am not a beach person and cat handle too much heat but I love to walk on the beach just before sunset. The colors , the smell … a poetry.
What I love the most is gardening. Nothing brings me more peace and happiness than the look of my flowers. Everyday there is something new. Irises, peonies, roses. This year I got some tuberoses. I am so excited. I can hardly wait.

LOVED the reviews. So many fragrances I love. I am green and orange. How could I pick between Fleur d’oranger and Chanel 19 for example?
I have to think seriously between Amaranthine and Vert Violette. Do I have to decide now? 🙂

  • Aw, maybe this is closed already… but my favorite thing to do since my early teen years has been laying, bodysurfing, and biking on Long Beach Island in New Jersey.

All of these fragrances sound great. A summer fave of mine is Annick Goutal Mandragore.

  • I think I am too late for this. I was out of town. Thanks for the twitter reminder!

While I am past the deadline, I like to swim and walk along the beach when I get the chance in the summer.

I guess I am more of an orange kinda guy!
