Best Perfumes of 2015 + Neela Vermeire Creations Pichola Draw

Michelyn Camen Berkan Basoglu Cafleurebon 2015

Michelyn Camen Editor in Chief and Berkan Basoglu We're Back

After our  CaFleureBon Best and Worst Fragrances of 2015, we wanted to spotlight our favorite fragrances, the ones we found ourselves returning to, again and again this year.  Berkan and I are quite different in what we wear; Berkan is much more experimental and I adore artisanal and natural perfumes. I also love my gourmands. Yet our love for fragrance is universal; combined we have tested hundreds (395 for MC) of fragrances this year that most of our non perfumista friends have never heard of. Our Top 25 picks in alphabetical order.

AKOWABOTTLE100ML

Akowa- M.Micallef  (Jean Claude Astier and Geofrrey Nedjman) So different from the rich and opulent scents I expect from Geoffrey Nedjman. Cocoa dusted vetiver dark with velvet patchoui, with a hint of the golden glow of vanilla. Sophisticated with a nod to classic French masculines. MC

Bass- Ephemera by Unsound– Ephermera is Geza Schoen’s new playground with his fabulous synthetics. Bass is the backbone of the line. BB

olivier durbano chyrsalithe perfume

Chrysolithe Olivier Durbano  Olivier’s 11th perfume forgos incense, yet there is smoke.  A vision quest;  an out of body experience. A holy scent of sage, hyssop and herbs. His best work in Michelyn’s opinion. MC and BB

Fève Délicieuse Dior (Francois Demarchy) one of the best gourmand fragrances of the year.  If it was distilled, I’d drink it for sure! BB

top 25 perfumes cafleurebon

Figuier Ardent- Atelier Cologne (Ralf Schwieger) A lavish lusty lactonic fig spiced with cinnamon and cardamon.  Pure pleasure, almost edible. Addıctıve and slightly carnal. Yes it is a cologne!!! MC

Fundamental- Rubini (Cristiano Canali) Fundamental begins with citrusy and flowery notes in a deep base. From the beginning it is evident that it’s not a typical crowd pleaser. And trying to dissect Fundamental into notes is not doing it justice. All we can say is that soave grape dominates the blend in a few minutes and remains the main player from the beginning to the end.A game changer-BB and MC

Iris Cendre- Naomi Goodsir (Julien Rasquinet of IFF) The most beautiful Iris fragrance I have experienced. Cool, almost chilled at the opening before the warmth of tobacco and amber envelops my senses. Breathtaking

i-miss-violet-the-different-comapny-bertrand-duchaufour

I Miss Violet-The Different Company (Bertrand Duchaufour)  A very different fragrance reunion for M. Duchaufour and Luc Gabriel. Bertrand tones down his signature leather accord, painting hues of  pale blush  and  apricot .  A sprinkling of Orris and Violet over a hint of bay leaf completes this soft sueded scent.   Utterly charming and original MC

slumberhouse kiste cafleurebon

Kiste -Slumberhouse  (Josh Lobb) Josh lives in alternate reality that I can only enter through his perfumes. At once sensual and puzzling, Kiste is all golden peach dripping in honey yet there is an astringent underpinning that is difficult to  describe. Transcedental, glowing and if there is a perfume god, this fragrance takes me to church. MC

LAVS- UNUM  (Filippo Sorcinelli) Unum was one of the most exciting new brands of Esxence 2015. Filippo Sorcinelli’s talent in a variety of arts is evident in the quality and uniqueness of his collection. LAVS is all about The Church and Gothic Art…BB

Le Jardin de Monsieur Li –Hermes (Jean Claude Ellena) Ghostly wandering jasmine and spectral woods. Perhaps the last in the Le Jardin series, but if M. Ellena is retiring I hope it isn’t anytime soon. My favorite since Un Jardin sur la Nile. Part of its appeal is that its beauty is fleeting MC

Les Indes Galantes Parfums MDCI (Cecile Zarokian) A perfume pastry dotted with almonds drizzled in berries smothered in smoky vanilla. I want to bite my arm. Cecile Zarokian continues to impress.  MC

metal hurlant

Metal Hurlant –Collection Croisiere Metal Hurlant (Pierre Guillaume) is a hot chick riding a vintage Harley wearing denim shorts. Need more description? BB

Pierre Guillaume captures Marlon Brando, Route 66 and Americana in one fragrance. Spray with caution as Metal Hurlant attracts men like crazy.  MC

les exclusifs chanel misia perfume 2015

MisiaLes Exclusifs by CHANEL (Olivier Polge) A brilliant debut for Olivier Polge now working with father Jaques at CHANEL. This is a tribute to Misia Sert, Mademoiselle Chanel’s closest friend who comforted her when she lost her true love Boy Capel.  Iris and violet intertwine in an exquisitely intimate embrace to the strains of a song long lost. Haunting and beautiful. MC

munegu istanbul perfumes

Múnegu Nishane  From the first Perfumery from Istanbul  this is an opulent and decadent dusty style that reminds us of a Moroccan rug lying on the ground of Taksim Square. Like the square itself, the fragrance consists of many tastes and styles with a hint of memories that took place right on the rug, with a hint of French flair.  To us, what is precious in artistic perfumery is both the uniqueness and wearablilty of compositions. Nishane has accomplished both with Múnegu.  Addictive, solid, deep and wearable at the same time. MC and BB

Nanban –Arquiste (Rodrigo Flores Roux) The deeply personal back-story for both perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Creative Director Carlos Huber , who were both born in Mexico City contributes to the richness of one of the best fragrance the House has created to date. Perhaps it is this connection that contributes to an outstanding perfume that is rich, complex, daring and absolutely unforgettable. A perfectly balanced masterwork with a ripe osmanthus note arising like a soft wind that blows through the saffron, coffee, black tea and leather, carrying the galleon  home. MC

O/E Bogue Profumo (Antonio Gardoni)  Although the release date is afterwards, O/E is the predecessor of mighty MAAI for me. BB

olfactive studio panorama perfume

Panorama –Olfactive Studio (Clement Gavarry)   Creative Director Céline Verlure once again uses her leitmotif of a photograph, this time Miguel Sandinha’s image of the Sheats-Goldstein residence in Beverley Crest, Los Angeles. Green, verdant with wasbai and galbanum as sharp as glass. A perfect olfactive interpretation of the visual inspiration. MC

neela vermeire pichola perfume

Pichola  Neela Vermeire Creations  (Bertrand Duchaufour) Neela’s skill as a creative director is at play once again in my favorite since Bombay Bling.   White florals seem to float weightlessly on water. Very quiet, luminous and translucent.  An extraordinary acomplishment. MC and BB

Reveries de Paris, DSH Perfumes (Dawn Spencer Hurwitz) is based on my first grown up perfume, Rochas Femme and a very grown up love affair in Paris. Seven years in the making and worth the wait.  MC

Sunshine Man-Amouage  (Pierre Negrin and Fabrice Pellegrin)  Christopher Chong, Creative Director of Amouage  took a new direction with Amouage Sunshine Woman in 2014, the first in the Midnight Flowers Collection (a best of scent ) and in Sunshine Man he explored this new brightness yet juxtaposed it with darkness. The contrast of tonalities is just beautiful here between vivid orange, the richness of brandy and the  depth of cedarwood. MC

temptedmusapril aromatics

Tempted Muse April Aromatics (Tanja Bochnig) A fruit centric natural fragrance is a rarity as it requires exceptional skill in tincturing. Tempted Muse is an ambrosial perfume, translucent tuberose and tropical frangipani resting on Tanja’s fruit accord. Dreamy and diaphonous. MC

UNFORSAKEN HOUSE OF KEROSENE

Unforsaken House of Kerosene (John Pegg) An elaborately rich, decadently delicious tropical custard of a scent  sprinkled with coconut and orange. My favorite in his impressive line of artisan fragrances. MC

Ursa Tiziana Terenzi (Paolo Terenzi)  I’ve been searching for a better alternative to Kilian’s masterpiece Straight to Heaven since its lack of projection. Terenzi’s Ursa is a great blended fragrance with boozy notes, leather and oud. BB

Variazione di Ragù Gabriella Chieffo (Luca Maffei) Michelyn calls Gabriella the Cindy Sherman of perfumery. 2014 Award winning Ragù was an outstanding creation. Variazione di Ragù is even better. The fragrance also reminds us of young perfumer Luca Maffei’s talent. -BB and MC

  • I approve of this list, lol! There’s a number of frags on it that I’ve seen on other lists and haven’t tried yet but want to(Bogue O/E, Akowa being the top two).

I love what you wrote about Kiste, Michelyn! I bought a bottle of it after using up a sample in record time. And it’ll remain on my top ten list of all time until something knocks it out, though I doubt anything will. It’s a “holy grail” fragrance for me! Hurrah for Joshu Lobb and slumberhouse in 2015. And thank you, too, for I won a little box of slumberhouse samples when I first discovered this website, had never heard of them, and it’s my very favorite house!

Thanks for the list, for all the years of great perfume reading, for the giveaways, and Happy New Year to all of you at CaFleureBon and to all the readers, too! Cheers.

    Oh, in the US (still).

  • What a grest list! I didn’t try a lot of these but my two favorites were Feve Delicieuse and Slumberhouse Kiste.

Thanks for the draw! Happy Holidays everyone! U.S.

  • I tried a small number of new-to-me perfumes in 2015, but only a small fraction were released in the same year. On this list, I only tried Le Jardin de Monsieur Li, and I found it frustratingly ephemeral. I wanted more to grab on to. But, the same day I tried Le Jardin Sur le Nil, and found it a pleasant surprise with the intriguing shimmer of green mango.

I would like to win Pichola, because the other Neela Vermeires I’ve sampled were to die for, and I’ve been craving more white florals. I knew I’d love Mohur, but I thoroughly enjoyed Bombay Bling, and I was head over heels for Ashoka’s relaxed lactonic fig, poised sandalwood, and confident leather. I’m in the US, thanks for the draw. Happy New Year!

  • I’ve only tried Feve and Sunshine Man. Sunshine Man is one of my favorite fragrances right now. Feve is an amazing gourmand reminiscent of Tonka Imperial with upgraded cocoa. I’m glad you chose these two gems. I plan on trying more on this list. Looks like amazing choices. I live in the U.S. Thanks for the list so I can look into them and for the draw as well.

  • John Paul Boukis says:

Nice list. Kiste and Fève Délicieuse are re-wears for me too. Still hoping to get my hands on the new Bogue, and Pichola sounds magical. Thanks for the draw (US).

  • BostonScentGuy says:

Thank you for this draw and for sharing your collective opinions! On the list, I’ve tried and loved Feve Delicieuse, Les Indes Galantes, Misia, Nanban, and LAVS (best incense I’ve tried!). I’m intrigued that Sunshine Man was on the list, as Sunshine Woman was definitely not a big winner for me! I wanted to like Iris Cendre, and I think I do ultimately think it’s interesting, but it doesn’t dethrone ISM or Irisssss in those categories. There is something a bit too cherry chapstick fruity about it–a similar effect is, to me, in Silver Iris by Atelier. I’m in the US.

  • What a Fabulous list!! There are several that are my favorites as well, including Kiste, Misia, O/E, Tempted Muse and Pichola.
Thanks for the giveaway, I live in the U.S.

  • I’ve not had a chance to smell most of these that you list as your favorites. But I did get to sample Fève Délicieuse Dior just in the last 2 months. I contacted a Dior boutique in Nevada and they sent me that one and several others from the same collection. I fell in love with Fève Délicieuse but have yet to purchase it. Pichola sounds like a beautiful floral fragrance. Thanks for offering such a wonderful giveaway of it!
    I live in NY (USA).

  • Paramedica SP says:

Great list. I need to try many thing in this list but from the fragrances that I’ve tried I totally agree include in this list Kiste by Slumberhouse, Fève Délicieuse by Dior (really delicious), Unforsaken by Kerosene (my favorite) and Sunshine Man by Amouage (Amouage always doing a great job). Panorama by Olfactive Studio is just ok in my opinion I prefer Selfie.
I’d love to try Pichola cuz I have heard good things about this one.
    I’m in the U.S.

  • Some of the fragrances I’ve tested this year are on this great list and in my top 15 : Bass, Métall Hurlant, Lavs, Nanban, Les Iles Galantes, Iris Cendre, Crysolithe…
But I’d have added some others: Angela Ciampagna (LIQUO, AER, ROSARIUM…) and the new beautiful British brand BeaufortLondon (EAST INDIA – my number 1!!!, 1805, COEUR DE NOIR…) – maybe not available yet in the USA.

I’m in the EU/France. Thanks for the draw!

  • I’ve tried three of the perfumes on your list, and really liked both Dior Fève Délicieuse and Atelier Cologne Figuier Ardent, despite both being from houses that usually don’t appeal to me. Everything’s always worth a sniff! I’m in the US.

  • To my shame, I only know Munegu from Nishane. I have not had the chance to test the others, but in a heartbeat I would go for Feve Delicieuse as I have a weak spot for anything that has cocoa in it lately. And looking at all the other notes, this creation from Dior appears to be right up my alley. Gourmand heaven for sure!

    I am from EU. Thanks!

  • All my favorites of the year are on this list! 😀 Unforsaken is my favorite of the year, closely followed by Tempted Muse. They both have a certain lovable innocence combined with some skank and rot. I love that it a perfume! I also really enjoy the smoky sweet Fève Délicieuse rather a lot. And Slumberhouse Kiste is really lovely too, far from my favorite Slumberhouse but still lovely enough to merit a place on the list.

Haven’t tried Pichola but I do love white florals! <3

I'm from the EU, Finland to be exact.

  • Many beautiful fragrances here and i most certainly agree with your choices, especially DSH and April Aromatics, who can do no wrong in my eyes. Iris Cendre and I miss Violet are also very beautiful.
I would love to try Pichola and am in the UK (EU). Many thanks for the draw and look forward to what 2016 has to offer.

  • Another list that I have sampled so little! Misia is lovely and I am glad to see Unforsaken which I really like, I think John Pegg is brilliant. As to Pichola, it’s high on my list of things to sample because I really like Neela’s entire line, esp. Bombay Bling. Thanks so much for another marvelous list and draw! I’m in the US.

  • Your list is interesting as it has several I haven’t tried but would like to. Arrousing my curiosity the most are Fève Délicieuse Dior, Iris Cendre, Les Indes Galantes Parfums MDCI , Misia, Nanban and Unforesaken. Reveries de Paris is probably one of only about five from the DSH line I haven’t tried. Seriously, you should see how big my box of DSH samples are.! Huge fan. Coincidentally, Pichola is one of the few on your list that I have tried and I loved it. I have been wowed by all of Neela Vermeire’s creations, and Pichola is no exception. Quality shows. I am in the USA.

  • Great list of high quality fragrances. I have had the opportunity to try Feve Delicieuse by far my favorite of 2015, Figuier Ardent , Kiste and look forward to try Sunshine Man from Amouage. Looking forward for your next list. Thanks from Hawaii

  • Unfortunately I have not tried any of these perfumes, but I suppose, that these are all fabulous. My all time favorite is Puredistance White, and that is not on this list. I would very like to try Pichola, from the review, it sounds wonderful. I live in Europe.

  • bunchofpants says:

I have not tried most of these, but I definitely agree that Sunshine Man belongs here. I have heard so many good things about Pichola, so it’s on the to-try list! I’m in USA.

  • Chrysolithe, Feve Delicieuse, and Pichola are at the top of my list to try. Unforsaken was so sunny and sweet that I’m glad it made the list!
I am in the US. Thanks for the draw!

  • This year I have not tried many new releases. The only one from the list that I tried and really liked was the Atelier Figuier Ardent. All the others are still a try for me.
I’d love to win because tuberose is an amazing note. And I read that Pichola is a great tuberose.
    I live in the US.
Many thanks and Happy New Year!

  • I love the variety of styles and houses you all chose for this list! I’m def. interested in a bunch of them, Nanban, Iris Cedre, and I Miss Violet n particular. I loved Tempted Muse and Misia was my most-worn fragrance of 2015. Kiste was nice too, but too much Iso E Super for me in that one. Very excited for the chance to win Pichola, it sounds amazing!! I’m in the US. Thank you!

  • Some of my favorites are in Cafleurebon’s Best and Worst Fragrances of 2015. It is great that both of you include Fundamental. I adore this scent, but its packaging is my winner, too. I agree with Berkan on LAVS. Panorama is a lovely scent, too. I followed the story of Reveries de Paris on Cafleurebon. It is “must try” for me. I haven’t tried Tempted Muse, but I love all April Aromatics perfumes. They are beautiful and splendid. I love the newest one, Purple Reign. It has become one of my favorites. I am sure, we’ll read more about Purple Reign in 2016. Variazione di Ragù is an outstanding perfume, I agree. The prize in this draw, Neela’s wonderful Pichola is among my favorite perfumes of the year. I am waiting for the choices of others from the team. I admit that I am most curious about Pam’s favorites. I’m in the EU, Croatia. Thank you.

  • Love these lists. Some of the perfumes I haven’t tried. Others are in the undecided pile. I absolutely love I miss Violet! Sadly, there is one that I shall not name that I loathe. One of the things I think is great about the perfume world is that we are all so different in our like and dislikes. This diversity adds to the fun – for me anyway. USA.

  • I’ve had the chance to test only 3 of the mentioned above…my sample list seems to have no end. On the very top – all Slumberhouse creations closely followed by Neela Vermiere. wonder homw many years it will take until I manage to catch up with all the new releases 🙂 I’m in the UK

  • I live in the US, and adore white florals. It would be an honor to be able to wear Pichola. This list will be the basis of my must sniff sample list. Sad to say I haven’t tried any on this list…YET!!

  • baroness_octothorpe says:

I’d almost buy the Akowa just for the bottle, although it sounds like it also smells great. I’m in the US–thanks for the draw!

  • I am really thrilled with your list, because it is so diverse and, strange as it might seem, that I have only tried one of the fragrances. You have given me a whole range of interesting perfumes to try over the coming months! The one perfume I did try, and really liked, was Múnegu Nishane. I had the pleasure of trying that while vacationing in Rome, but I will definitely seek that out again. I would like to experience Neela’s Pichola, as I am a big fan of her work. I live in the US. Thanks for all the suggestions and a great draw!

  • I haven’t tried all of the fragrances on the list but of the ones I have I wholeheartedly agree with the inclusion of Feve Delicieuse, Pichola, and Unforsaken. I would love to win Pichola as it’s my 2nd favorite NV scent (after Ashoka). I am in the U.S.

  • Olivier Durbano’s Chrysolithe and Rubini Fundamental were on my must-try list already, but now they have shot straight to the top! I think I should try Kiste, too.

Panorama is the only Olfactive Studios fragrance I’ve not yet gotten my nose on, and I must remedy that soon! I really like what Céline Verleure has done with this innovative house.

I’m so pleased to see Unum Lavs and Arquiste Nanban have been chosen as Best of 2015. I adore them both.

Please include me in the draws for Pichola. I am in the US.

  • I’ve only smelled Feve out of all these, but I agree to it being on this list as it’s a beauty.
Would love to smell Pichola, only know Trayee by Neela..
    I’m from the Netherlands btw.

  • I have a sample of Tempted Muse, and have tried Munegu Nishane. I’ve had I Miss Violet, Sunshine Man (I have a sample of Sunshine Woman, so really wanted to try this), and Reveries de Paris on my list – AND Pichola. I’ve been looking for my perfect white floral, and have heard so many wonderful things, so was thrilled to see it featured here today.
    I live in the US.

  • Beautiful choices, Feve Delicieuse, Kiste, Panorama, Misia and Nanban made my favorites list this year as well. I am in the UK.

  • tomate farcie says:

Panorama and Misia two of my 2015 favorites! I love all things Neela Vermeire! I’m in the U.S.

  • LAVS and Feve really impressed me. I plan to try Misia and probably acquire it, too. Others that intrigue me include Panorama, Akowa (apparently it has a not from Africa that has never been used in a perfume before), and Kiste…Nanban has also gotten great reviews and maybe a love . thanks so much for the generous draw. I am in the US

  • Mrs. MacDonald says:

I want ALL of them! i have been longing to get my hands and nose wrapped around a Neela Vermeire creation for some time now! Awesome giveaway! i’m in Canada

  • I thoroughly agree with every one of these I’ve tried. Iris Cendre, LAVS, and Nanban are all wonderful. I haven’t tried Pichola but look forward to it, as well as several others on the list. I’m in the US.

  • Big fan of Tanja Bochnig Slumberhouse and Atelier. Nice to see both recognized.
Iris Cendre is getting a lot of buzz but I found it did not suit me a little dusty. I would love to win Pichola
    Thanks again
    Great list

  • Great top list. My favorites are Kerosene Unforsaken and Slumberhouse Kiste but Fève Délicieuse are growing on my concept.

    I’m in the US.

  • Such a tantalizing listing! I’ve not yet had a chance to try any of these, but shall soon. Right now it’s Chrysolithe, Nanban, Kiste, Ursa, and Pichola (Of Course) I am most curious about. I’m in the US. Thank you for the giveaway!

  • I love the selections. So many on that list that I haven’t tried yet. My favorite is definitely Misia. I am a sucker for Chanel’s perfumes and this one is particularly satisfying.

Thanks for the draw. I live in Canada.

  • So many I want to try out now. I don’t know which to choose. Kerosene Unforsaken and Slumberhouse Kiste. I live in the United States

  • The only two fragrances from this list that I’ve tried so far are Misia and Feve Delicieuse, and I enjoyed them both. Samples of several others are currently on the way to my mailbox because your descriptions made them sound so fantastic. Pichola is actually one of those samples. Thanks for the drawing! I’m in the US.

  • I have yet to smell a single one of this amazing list of 25, and yet, even based upon these capsule reviews, I want to at least try them all. Torture, I tell you: I’m so behind, and yet a bout of unemployment keeps me from my usual indulgence. I may be behind in my sniffing, but I DO know that I’ve been interested in Monsieur Duchaufour’s Neela Vermeire creations from the very beginning, and Pichola is no exception. I live in the U.S., and thank you very much for the drawing!

  • in fact , I haven´t tried none of the list but I´m glad for seing one of the hermes garden serie there, because , the garden line is very good , including of the great Ellena´s creation, and not always get much love out there.

I live in Europe. Thanks for the draw

  • Sunshine Man is definitely my favorite release of 2015. It is seriously everything I look for in a fragrance. Bravo to Amouage for creating another masterpiece. Ultra Zest by Thierry Mugler is also another one I really enjoyed this year. Thank you for the draw and I’m in Canada.

  • Akowa, Pichola, Tempted Muse and Metal Hurlant, Nanban and I Miss Violet are all some of my heavy hitters as well. It’s really difficult to just pick out a few, Love reading your best of always… So gractious of Neela to sponsor this draw… I am a registered US reader. Wishing you all a Fabulous New Year!

  • What a great collection of scents. I have tried Misia, I Miss Violett and the Unum Lavs.
I am a great admirer of Neela’s scents, and as a registered Canadian reader, would love to win.
    Thank you

  • Love this list! It makes me crave things I have mostly never tried

Kiste is mostly-love for me but I’ve only dabbed from the vial, never sprayed. There were a few moment it went to the peach potpourri or peach-spice herbal tea vectors but then it came back into focus as a proper and balanced perfume with more dimension. It was a little strange but felt masterful somehow. also I love love love that song.

Unum Lavs was a little disappointing after so much hype, I got a sample and it was very soapy-sour-abrasive in the warm weather. But maybe in the cold it will work better? I should revisit.

Actually Sigili Hymba was the most wearable sample from the sample lot then.

I want to try anything by Geza Shoen and now especially: Bass- Ephemera by Unsound– Ephermera is Geza Schoen’s new playground with his fabulous synthetics. Bass is the backbone of the line

All of the ones that were described as ‘delicious’ are on my radar.

Pichola sounds so elegant and exciting! Thank you for the draw

    USA

  • This list includes the true masterpieces of high perfumery and I find Les Indes Galantes my favorite one for I love gourmand perfumes.
I would love to try Pichola! I am a registered reader living in EU and I thank you for this review and draw.

  • Love Misia with its powdery and lipsticky, a little old-fashioned charm. Le Jadrin de Monsieur Li is rapidly becoming my second favorite Hermes Garden, right after my beloved Nil. Strangely, Feve Delicieuse dissappointed me, or maybe I had too high expectations after all these enthusiastic reviews.

Kiste, Bass and Iris Cendre are my must-try in 2016! So is Pichola. I am from the EU.

  • Fève Délicieuse is an absolute masterpiece in a bottle. I’ve sampled it quite a few times, and when my decent is finished, I’m buying a full bottle for sure! Pichola is a scent that I’ve been dying to try! It sounds incredible so hopefully I can get lucky haha.

    Canadian reader

  • Now I want to order samples!!! I’ve seen the Iris Cendre a lot on this website, wish the sample I won would have arrived. Will have to order. Metal Hurlant is another I will need to order a sample of since my husband and I frequent the Route 66 in New Mexico. I will have to try the Figuer Ardent piques my curiosity as I adore figs and have a fig tree in my backyard. Reading the comments I may have to try Kiste again, didn’t care for, but maybe I missed something. Thanks for the draw.

  • i finally have some time off — and here i am, perusing cafleurebon 🙂
so — the list: i hardly know any (this year was insane. no time for anything, really.) but i REALLy want to try chocolatl and misia. and i do own kiste and love it: *the* best peach-note ever, and i am in the u.s still. ha

  • I’ve tried both Panorama and Tempted Muse. Both are incredible scents, and a must have, in my opinion. I think 2015 was a great year for fragrance, there were many many scents that will be talked about for years to come. Thank you for the draw and I’m international (Toronto).

  • As usual, interesting choices! The ones that interest me most are Chrysolithe–Olivier Durbano, Iris Cendre-Naomi Goodsir, I Miss Violet-The Different Company, Les Indes Galantes Parfums MDCI, Múnegu Nishane, Nanban –Arquiste, and Múnegu Nishane. A long list, I know!

I live in Canada. Thank you!

  • I haven’t been able to try any on this list, but it includes several I’ve had on my test list: Iris Cendre, I Miss violet, Misia. All those lovely purple flowers. And Pichola itself, which seems exquisite, from all the descriptionsI’ve read. I am in the US.
