Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime Review + Unexpected Citrus Draw

Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel of Atelier Cologne collage  with lemon and lime by Michelyn from photos from Atelier Cologne

Before Editor Sebastian reviews the new Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime, composed by Jerome Epinette, I will tell you a true story. The year was 2010 and Sylvie Ganter introduced the first five Atelier Colognes at Bergdorf Goodman (there are 38 now as well as soaps, candles and bath and body care). I was there and as is my way, when I believe in something exciting and new, I become an unpaid ambassador. So I went over to Sylvie and Jerome (who was very shy) and just started selling. I will never forget that I told a customer who purchased Trefle Pur to have Jerome Epinette sign the bottle; I said “he will be famous one day”. And of course he is and Atelier Cologne, the house that turned classic  cologne upside its head has taken the world by storm with its "cologne absolue", cologne with sillage. There is an Atelier Cologne for everyone, no matter who you are and Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime, the latest in the Sunny Citrus collection is a great example. Lime and coconut, as notes may sound too much like suntan lotion or fruity, yet Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime, is a fragrance full of surprises. Its high concentration of 15% puts it squarely in EDP territory. What I enjoy most about Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime is that it doesn’t smell like a pina colada, instead it evokes a far way beach, somewhere secluded with ocean breezes gently stirring the coconut tree fronds. Lime, bright and slightly tart (to my knowledge it is the first time it has been the star in their citrus collection). Made from 91% renewable natural origin ingredients of the highest quality, the listed notes are of this unisex fragrance are lime from Mexico, lemon from Italy, coconut from the Philippines, spearmint from America and eucalyptus from China with a base of amber and woods.

I love the description of it being crunchy and dry and aromatic. So I’m surprised here that it says there is amber in the drydown. I can’t picture it, but if it’s aromatic and fresh, it would be perfect for So. Cal weather. My fave Atelier is Clementine California.

  • To me lime is fresher smelling and not as harsh as lemon accords. The coconut would make it tropical. I’m guessing the eucalyptus would tone that tropical wave to a more mellow tone. Would love to smell what Sebastian said was almost a crispy apple.

  • I am unable to register for some reason, but I really wanted to enter to win. I loved the notes and hearing that it’s not a typical lime coconut scent.

  • The notes sound really interesting because I like lime and coconut. Aromatic and freshie are kinda contradicted so i really want to try it out. I only know about this house through Sebastian’s video so i do not have a favourite one yet.

  • tuiu silver says:

Oh My… This new Cologne sounds so incredebly delicious…
The best part of Sebastian’s review is definitely the way he described the coconut note on this perfume.
We usually associate coconut with milky facets, but to find out that this time it has a dry, fresh approach, keeping the lime juicy in a different direction, is really nice.
My favorite from the house is Vetiver Fatal.
I would like to join the draw please.
    Thank you for this opportunity.

  • Chuck Goodpaster says:

This sounds wonderful! I’m ready for spring and this would do the trick! I always trust Sebastian’s opinion. The coconut & lime mix sounds great. Thank you for the opportunity.

  • I laughed that he kept mentioning “that popular lime and coconut fragrance.” I’m in USA. My fave Ateliers are Oud Saphir, Jamin Angelique and Café Tuberosa. I have bottles of all of these.

  • As usual Sebastian’s review is fantastic!!
I do not remember, whether I have tested perfume with combination citrus-coconut, but sounds very interesting.
    US

  • What a wonderful review. This house does juicy notes deliciously and I appreciate that Sebastian gave time to the other aspects as well. I especially enjoyed the concept of crunchiness in a scent. Can’t wait to try this offering from Atelier Colognes.

  • I am intrigued by the mint and eucalyptus combined with the juicy aspects of the lime. “Crisp and crunchy apple” note sounds great! No favorite, yet, from this house. Cheers!

  • staciarose20 says:

I liked the description of green juicy apples with the lime and coconut. Atelier’s citrus perfumes are very refreshing and uplifting. This one sounds interesting because the notes create a scent that sounds so far from what you’d imagine.

  • Best chance to me to make a good and juicy gift. My mom likes a lot the fruity fragrances. I don’t know what means crispy in this subject but I trust a lot Sebastian. Thank’s for the chance Atelier Cologne.
    I live in EU.

  • Marius Johnson says:

Never owned anything from this house…but I love the mix notes of Lime,Coconut & mint in this fragrance! this sounds& smells right up my alley great for the hot summer days…2 thumbs up.

  • I’ve never had a scent that was lime-forward. I love his description of the Lomé and the green apple. I would very much love to try this, as I don’t currently have any Atelier Colognes. Thank you for the opportunity! I am in USA

  • I’m excited about this one after listening to the review .. initially I was concerned that this would be a bit too sweet for me.

My most worn Atelier fragrances are Cedrat Enivrant, Cedre Atlas, Philtre Ceylan and Cafe Tuberosa. I also really enjoy Sous le Toit de Paris for special occasions.

  • I absolutely love Atelier Cologne’s many fragrances. And now, another interesting one to try. The coconut and lime notes sound like a wonderful summer choice. USA

  • yungcherrypops says:

WOW this one sounds fantastic. Lime, coconut, eucalyptus? Count me in! Loved Sebastian’s review as he’s always short, sweet, descriptive, and to the point. My favorite Atelier fragrances are Tobacco Nuit, Bergamote Soleil, Cedre Atlas, and Clementine California. Alabama, USA. Youtube username is polaroid caesar

  • Just Add Light says:

Current favourite from the brand is Trefle Pur, but I’m on sorta on a green binge ATM… So yeah, limes + green = goodness. Love how Sebastian kept menioning the uniqueness of the composition. Hard to do lime and coconut in a way that hasn’t been done so many times before. But green apples? Definitely sounds refreshingly awesome! Me want to sniff. USA

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s description that it goes in the complete other direction of that other popular fragrance. I have not had the chance to try any Atelier fragrances. Thanks for the opportunity to try this! USA

  • RaePerfumeSoul says:

I love mint but don’t like coconut… This will be a interesting combo.
I need need a warm weather perfume.

    In USA.

  • I haven’t smelled any Atelier fragrances. I live in a part of the country that doesn’t have access to more upscale brands. This sounds refreshing and fun. Something to make you feel like summer. I would love to try it. Thanks for the review and the opportunity to win! In the USA.

  • Sebastian has made my mouth and nose water with his fab description of this juice – yummy – well done.
My favourite Ateliers are Pomelo Paradis and Rose Anonyme.
I’m in the UK and would so love to win this bottle whilst i’m still able (with the Brexit thingy!!! )
    Thank you so much.

  • I love Sebastian’s perfume reviews and I was waiting for this one review in particular, once I get email announcement from Atelier Cologne about new fragrance. Atelier Cologne is my favorite perfume house, so I’m very excited to be able to try this new cologne. I have 7 their colognes. My favorite one is Camelia Intrepide, I feel very special when I wear it. I think it’s gorgeous. I also my favorite are Clementina California and Pomelo Paradis. After Sebastian review I have a strong desire to have this new creation of Atelier Cologne. Thanks for a chance!

  • Sebastian’s review is perfect as always, he is making one of the best reviews on YT, I like AC very much and my favourites are Pomelo Paradis, Rose Anonyme and Café Tuberosa. I live in Poland

  • Sebastian has such a cute way of describing fragrances that it makes me smile watching his reviews when he really enjoys a fragrance and it is obvious that this unique presentation of the classic lime and coconut has captured his heart. I would love to try it for myself. Rose Anonyme is my favorite from the house, followed by Clementine California, both which I own. Ky, USA

  • Sounds like such a delicious combo and with spring approaching, this sounds like a must try! I’m relatively new to the world of fragrances and Pacific Lime sounds like the perfect place to start exploring this line!

  • I’m glad Sebastian points out that it doesn’t smell like Virgin Island Water, which I own so it would make this one redundant to own. My favorite Atelier Cologne is Bergamote Soleil. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • I was waiting for Sebastian’s take on this new release from Atelier Cologne, and it was a great review as always. So curious about Pacific Lime since i love those kind of scents, especially if lime note is the star in it. Thanks for the chance, i am in the EU.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always informative which I love. Lime is one of my favorite notes in perfumes and this sounds wonderful with the more dry aromatic approach rather than suntan oil. Atelier seems to come up with novel ideas like Cafe’ Tuberosa which I own and blind bought based on the notes! Thanks for the generous drawing! In the US

  • As usual, Sebastian brought his “A” game during his review. His description, and opinion alone, were enough to sell me on this fragrance. The note breakdown sounds amazing , and it’s definitely something I need to get my nose on.

  • I love lime, and the crispness of it, but am usually so disappointed when it’s pared down by too much creamy coconut. I like that Sebastian made it clear that this lime isn’t overwhelmed with buttery coconut. The combination of lime with eucalyptus is intriguing me! Thanks for this opportunity to smell it and own it. I also love Pamelo Paradise and Oud Saphir from Atelier. Peace!!!

  • leilawaleila says:

What an intriguing combination of a coconut and a citrus fruit. Sebastian’s reviews are so much fun always! I’ve smelled this brand in Sephora but don’t remember which scents…definitely coming. Ack to explore it more!!!

  • fazalcheema says:

Sebastian says lime is the star and while coconut is detectable, it is employed in a different manner than it is usually, it is kind of dry. My favorite from Atelier is Orange Sanguine. I am in US.

  • Ivan.napoleon says:

Sebastián s review amazing as usual Miami.
    My fav Is Clementine.
    Id love to win this!
    Miami Florida Thanks

  • patrick_348 says:

I have never tried an Atelier cologne, but this makes me want to. I like the way Sebasstian’s description makes the fragrance sound simple (only five or so notes) but at the same time complex in the way they interact. I am in North Carolina in the US.

  • wallygator88 says:

I’ve not tried an Atelier cologne, since it is outside my price point. I really enjoyed listening to your description about the coconut being like coconut water. Regards from Madison, WI

  • Big fan of Atelier. They have so many to choose from. Sebastian’s Review on you tube and reading your article made me want to have the new Fragrance Pacific Lime. The notes of lime and coconut made me think of the beach, not a pina colada like he said. Some where open fresh enjoying a Spring/ Summer day. I also like the 2 favorites he mentioned. After 38 Fragrance this house has created I’m sure this is going to be another great. Thank you for the opportunity.
    NYC

  • Wanted to try something from this house for a while. This one has all of my favorite notes, sounds super delectable. Perfect for high heat. Sebastian brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to his reviews. Never disappointed.

  • Ooh, I like the sound of this, not too coconut – Y, tho I love coconut too. I like the fresh, and even crunchy green apple note, so would love to win this. I don’t have a fav atelier scent, but want to try their neroli or bergamot ones. Thank you for the draw and the fab review! In the us

  • I like that this scent is not like Sebastian describes your typical pina colada smell, despite has a coconut note. I like more original creations. My favorite from Atelier Cologne is Bergamot Solei. (Illinois)

  • What a nice combination of notes. Who doesn’t love the smell of lime?
As always, Sebastian does a nice job describing this fragrance. I have never tried Atelier fragrances and would love to start with this one. I am from the U.S. and would love to win.

  • The notes sound right up my alley and I like this house as I know quite a few from them with Gold Leather being my favourite. I am in EU. Thanks!

  • The review of Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime Fragrance sounds beautiful. A fresh/citrus fragrance sounds very delicious with the lime and coconut notes together. I like how they break down what country/region where each fragrance note was extracted from.

  • My favorite part of Sebastian’s review was the way he described the coconut as resembling that of coconut water. Sounds like a delicious fragrance when you imagine that coconut paired with lime and apple. My favorite Atelier fragrance by a mile is the ever so gorgeous, Musc Impérial. Thanks for doing this giveaway!!

  • sammyfire2001 says:

I love his very vivid description that he gave. He makes the cologne sound simply delicious. I haven’t tried an atelier fragrance but would love for this to be my first!

  • LovelyOsita says:

I always enjoy how well he describes the notes in a fragrance. I was actually waiting to smell it in store, because I was truly on the fence for Pacific Lime. His review has me convinced and craving to try it. I generally prefer fresh, crisp, and citrusy fragrances. Atelier Cologne has never let me down with there citrus scents. I’m looking forward to trying it!

  • Andreea Florica says:

Sebastian said about Pacific Lime delicious and fruity. I’m thinking about me wearing this fragrances in public. I want to be delicious, haha. Very interesting parfume. Thank you for the chance Atelier Cologne.
    I live in EU.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always spot on, honest and trustworthy, what appealed to me was the mention of the coconut note being closer to coconut water than the coconut fruit. I have only tried Musc Imperial and Iris Rebelle from Atelier Cologne and they both found their way quickly in my wardrobe. Thank you for the oportunity Ca Fleure Bon and Atelier Cologne. I live in The Netherlands, Europe

  • What I liked about Sebastian’s Atelier Pacific Lime video was that he didn’t name drop to get views. Plus Sebastian’s a Lime Head. He got me in LB&M, of which I love.So I know I am going to enjoy this offering from Atelier. My favorite by this company is one that I don’t know the name of. I got some Atelier samples from Sephora’s , but the label’s glue dissolved from the one I really liked. I was thinking about heading to Sephora’s today to find out which one it was, and now for certain I am so I hopefully can sample Pacific Lime. My Sephora’s is a bit small, so they might have it, they might not. Regardless though, I am heading to the fragrance fountains at the malls today.Thank you Atelier , CaFleureBon and Sebastian for making it all possible.

  • Lara Anderson says:

I really enjoyed Sebastian’s description of the lime and coconut together being so different from the other fragrance. Love Orange Sanguine and want to still try Clementine California. Excited about this opportunity Ca Fleure Bon and Atelier Cologne. Would love the chance to try this. Am in the US.

  • Sounds unique, interesting to have the eucalyptus in there. Wondering also how the coconut and mint fit in. I enjoy many from the Atelier house. USA

  • RobertNicolasB says:

I love the uniqueness of the blend. I own and love Clementine California and thank you for this opportunity to try more from the house of Atelier. USA

  • I very love Sebastian’s description of this fragrance. It sounds very unique, and really nice. I love the notes. I would really love to try this. Thank you for the chance. I live in the EU.

  • Combination of lime , coconut water and eucalyptus , with some sprinkles of mind sure does not sound like Virgin Island Water .To be honest VIW to me is a great fragrance, but Pacific Lime should be just as good . Plus it’s made by Jerome Epinette.
I do like Atelier Cologne as a brand.Atm i do own 3 of their fragrances – 200+30ml of Orange Sanguine (on my 3th bottle) , 30ml of Cafe Tuberosa (a gift) and 100ml of Gold Leather – by very far the best one they got … to me at least.I do plan to get 200+30 ml pack because i do love the way it smells , and makes me feel…and i’m running low Lol.
Of course i do follow @cafleurebon @lookfeelsmellgreat and @ateliercologneparis on Instagram.
Thank you for this nice draw.
Virginia USA or London UK/EU … at least 97/100 times.

  • I love a GREAT lime fragrance and this one sounds like just that! Sebastian is always so great at his reviews – so knowledgeable! I’d really like to win this one! A favorite AC fragrance for me would be Mandarine Glaciale. Arkansas, USA

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always clear and specific in the description of the notes. This is especially true with his description of the coconut note. I love the sound of this fragrance. It sounds gorgeous for the summer. I’ve never tried any of the Atelier colognes, but this sounds like a great start. Enjoyed the review and thank you for the draw. I’m in the USA

  • doveskylark says:

I love that the notes combine into a crisp and dripping green apple sensation. I also like that the ingredients are from various countries. I love to drink coconut water with a squeeze of lime, so I know i will love this fragrance.
I like Old Saphir from Atelier.
    I live in the USA.

  • i have never tested any of the AC scent, but Lime and coconut would be perfect in the summer heat. Maybe i get lucky this time! but thanks for reviewing so many interesting scents. Im in the EU.

  • Grandiflora says:

What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s YouTube review on Pacific Lime was the description of the notes used being “limes from Mexico, lemons from Italy, coconut from the Philippines, spearmint from America, and eucalyptus from China”. What a great fragrance to bring the world together! I don’t have a favorite Atelier Cologne as of yet. I’m in the US.

  • Timothy Burns says:

I don’t have a huge history with Atelier, but I did really enjoy Orange Sanguine and this sounds nice.

  • Seems to be interesting. Very exotic. Coconut, lime and eucalyptus sounds to me like a very special combination.

Thank you for the draw. I am in Europe. Thanks!

  • I’d love to be able to smell something so different from VIW yet with many of the same notes. Sebastian makes it clear it doesn’t smell anything like that though.

  • Dorian Fischer says:

The notes of lime and coconut really got me interested! I really liked his review since he brought everything relevant on point. My favourite Atelier cologne is orange sanguine. From EU Austria

  • I really enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. And I loved his review of Pacific Lime. It sounds so refreshing with a really nice coconut, woody dry down. I don’t have any experience with Atelier scents.
    I live in the USA.

  • socalscents says:

I loved how Sebastian was surprised how the Eucalyptus worked within the Lime Coconut to create a unique good smell! My favorite Atelier scent is probably Clementine Califorina. From USA

  • Enjoyed the review and thanks for this giveaway. Got a chance to smell this from a sample my sister has. Has a juicy lime and I get the coconut in the background but light. Thanks
    U.S

  • I’m very much intrigued by the presence of coconut and eucalyptus in the perfume !! It should smell amazing!! The crunchiness as Sebastian describes it, it’s amazing!! Thank you
    USA CA

  • I love that Sebastian was surprised that their was Eucalyptus in the fragrance and that the coconut in the fragrance wasn’t creamy, which was surprising to me also, as well as the amber dry down. My fave fragrance from this house is California Clementine! I live in the USA!

  • Great review as always Sebastian. The description is on point.
Coconut isn’t always my favorite note in some perfume, but Sebastian description intrigued me. A coconut that’s not creamy sounds just perfect.
The interesting tart, crunchy, apple note sensed by him seems like a pleasant surprise.
Pacific Lime sounds like a very solid release I’m looking forward to smell.
Thanks for the wonderful review and the chance.
    I’m in the EU.

  • I am already pretty sure this is going to be one of my summer go-to fragrances! I am crazy for lime notes, and I’ve already started looking around for summer possibilities. Now, Atelier’s Pacific Lime is on my radar, thanks to Sebastian’s review.

I’m surprised he’s getting a green apple note, and I hope I can detect it too!

My favorite Atelier is Cedrat Enivrant, and my bottle is almost empty because I used it so much last summer. I also went through my travel-size Pomelo Paradis!

    I am in the US.

  • Sebastian imo is one of the best,if not the best fragrance reviewer.Bought so much fragrances because of him-mostly niche.
This time my opinion is a bit different .I was able to sample Pacific Lime – bought a sample set , and unlike Sebastian i do not get any coconut on my skin – not even one bit.To me it’s super fresh , zingy smell – absolutely perfect for the hot summer smell.Lime , mint and eucalyptus is what i get.Magical scent…to me.Some associate the smell of eucalyptus with cough syrups , or mentholated cough drops. My husband and 2 of my colleagues complimented me , but both my mom and dad said i do smell line a Halls cough drops.Maybe it’s my body chemistry , but eucalyptus is really strong on my skin.Just my 2 scents.
Yes i do have favorite Atelier Cologne is called Cafe Tuberosa. Bought it last year right after i watched Sebastians review for Cafleurebon ~ mid september as far as i can remember.
Thank you for the review , and for the opportunity .
Back and forth between USA and Scotland (EU/UK) . 1 week in US-> 1 week in Scotland…and so on

  • I like that their is an Atelier Cologne for everyone. Thanks to Sebastian’s review I was able to picture how wonderful this must smell. I loved his passion and description of the notes.
    I live in USA.

  • I try to watch all of Sebastian’s reviews – he does such a great job describing the fragrances so that you really can smell them in your mind. I have several Atelier favorites, have several travel sprays including Iris Rebelle – love iris -and own a bottle of Pomelo Paradis that I got on a local Facebook sales group for almost nothing – they did not know what they were selling. Lots of great scents for spring and summer.
    I am in the US.

  • I always appreciate Sebastian reviews as he is masterful at describing scents and how beautiful interview of an imaginative artist his compositions. I have never got my nose on an Atelier Cologne but I know there is a lot of love put into these fragrances. I live in CA, USA.

  • Spring is coming soon I hope, and I need a new fresh and uplifting fragrance for warmer weather, and Pacific Lime sounds pretty good. Mr. Jara do have a natural gift to sell . That’s why he’s such a great reviewer. Never smelled a fragrance with eucalyptus note.. I think. Yes I do have Atelier Cologne fragrance in my collection called Santal Carmin. A gift from my brother. Never had a chance to smell the others – the only one I know. Thx to all involved in this great giveaway. USA most of the year, and Germany from time to time.

  • Always a pleasure to watch Sebastian’s videos, love his grounded realistic attitude towards scents. I love Atelier Cologne as a company and most from the line. My favorite is Phyltre Ceylan, but I would like to try out more from the citrus series. Interesting to find out how the eucaliptus will play here.
    Thank you for the chance,
    EU.

  • Anything by Jerome Epinette is worth a try. The description of coconut and lime that doesn’t evoke a pina colada and includes eucalyptus has me intrigued.

  • James Weaver says:

I enjoyed Sebastian’s description o the coconut and lime and mint sounds like a wonderful summer fragrance. My favorite Atelier cologne is Orange Sanguine. I am subscribed to looking feeling smelling great as well as Cafleurebon. Virginia USA resident.
