Atelier Cologne Nolita and Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel

ÇaFleureBon and Atelier Cologne have always enjoyed a special relationship. From our first reviews of the inaugural five Atelier fragrances composed by three master perfumers; Jerome Epinette  who created Bois Blonds, Trefle Pur, and Oolang Infini; Cecile Krakower who  formulated Grand Neroli; and Ralf Schwieger who composed OrangeSanguine, we have watched co founders and Creative directors Sylvie Ganter and Christophe  Cervasel take the concept of "cologne with sillage" from a small counter at Bergdorf Goodman in 2010 to  hundreds of worldwide stockists that include  specialty and luxury department stores, niche boutiques, online destinations, Atelier Cologne's four free standing stores in Nolita, Brooklyn, Saint Florentin in Paris and their newest location in the Marais District of Paris which opened its door around this time last year..

"Let's have an early Holiday Party", said Robert Collanino, the Boutique manager of theAtelier Cologne Brooklyn Store located at 357 Atlantic Avenue.

  • From Mark Behnke’s 27 April 2010 post: “Trefle Pur surrounds its core of pungent violet with orange, cardamom, and basil in front and musk and patchouli behind. The violet is the linchpin which holds this all together.”

What a great draw! I’d choose Mistral Patchouli and Orange Sanguine with the Aubergine case. Thanks!!

  • Sharyl S. Morris says:

“The drink received its name because it was said to be as potent as a 75mm cannon.”

This is from the review for Cedrat Envirant, one of my faves! If I were lucky enough to win this, I’d pick Cedrat Envirant, Grand Neroli, and the Lime Green case. Thanks again for another excellent drawing!

  • “The opening of Ambre Nue is like the dying of the light as a very distinct green mandarin mixes with a slightly astringent floral marigold. It is an opening of sharp angles like the last rays of the sun as it slips beneath the horizon.”

I would choose Ambre Nue and Rose Anonyme in a burgundy case.
    Amazing draw! Happy Holidays!

  • Oolang Infini is a snapshot of India during The Raj as the opening has a cool gin and citrus opening followed by an afternoon tea heart of smoky oolong before retiring to the wood panelled drawing room for a whiff of tobacco.

Were I lucky enough to win I would choose Oolang Infini and Orange Sanguine, in the aubergine box.

    Merry Christmas!

  • October 5, 2013
    SILVER IRIS

“A woman of such intimidating beauty and sparkling vitality gained the adoration of everyone around her.
However, no one knew what she had been through. With her wild spirit, she was tough, stronger than metal,
and never looked back. When she met him, for the first time in her life, she could stand still.
She may have found the absolu man.”

Sure made me take notice! I would love Vanille Insensee and Rose Anonyme with the Burgundy case 🙂

  • Orange Sanguine – This makes for what I think of as a whole orange experience as it feels as if I am peeling and eating an orange and the juice is dripping off my chin. The opening moments of Orange Sanguine capture this beautifully.

I would choose Bois Blonds and Trefle Pur with the Aubergine case 🙂

    Thanks for the lovely draw!

  • Elizabeth T. says:

“Rendez-Vous is a synesthetic experience. You can smell, touch and see textures; the velvet of petals, the feel of brushed suede, and the sensation of creamy butter with color and flavor.” Which reminds me I still need to try this particular one!

If I’m the lucky gal, I’d choose Trefle Pur and Orange Sanguine in a (gorgeous) Burgurdy case. What a generous Christmas giveaway. Merry Christmas to Atelier Cologne folks and to Cafleurebon!

  • “The heart is the rose-like quality of geranium with the greener aspects of that note accentuated so it is only lightly floral and the green goes very well with the more acidic qualities of the Orange.”

I would love Vanille Insensee and Rose Rose Anonyme in the Venetian blue case.

    Thanks for this amazing draw!

  • Rendez-vous
“They were strangers when their eyes met on a crowded Metro car in Paris.”

I would love Vanille Insensee and Trefle Pur with the lemon case. Thank you!

  • “Bois Blonds is a lovely study of neroli, incense, light wood, musk and vetiver. It is a mix of strong notes kept on the light side and becomes seductive and opulent the longer it develops.”

I’d choose Vanille Insensee and Silver Iris in a burgundy case.
Thank you for the wonderful draw!

  • Quoting from the review of Mistral Patchouli “When I tried Mistral Patchouli for the first time I realized there was no Calone but there was a great salty marine accord blowing across my senses.”

If I win, I’d love Rose Anonyme and Mistral Patchouli, with the Burgundy leather case. Thanks for this great draw!

  • rivercitylizzy says:

This lovely statement by Mark Benke says it for me: “All I know is I want to float on a cloud of Vetiver Fatal all day.” Oh, my, yes I do! My choices would be Vetiver Fatal, with Sous le Toit de Paris to complement it and a case in Aubergine leather to match them.

Mahalo for the draw! I am in the US.

  • fazal cheema says:

From Michelyn’s July 27, 2014 review for the Rendez-Vous, the most romantic lines, “They were strangers when their eyes met on a crowded Metro car in Paris. He offered her his seat but she demurred, albeit with a small smile. When they emerged from beneath the street to find it was raining, he offered her his umbrella. On impulse, she took his arm instead, and the rest is history. ”

Since I already have Orange Sanguine, Grand Neroli, Bois Blonds, Trefle Pur, Oolang Infini , and Vanille Insensee
For this generous draw, my choice will be:

    1. Rose Anonyme
    2. Ambre Nue
    Case Color: Burgundy

    I am in the US

  • ” What M. Epinette has done is create the Benjamin Button of rose fragrances. In the early stages the rose feels like a pressed corsage, aged and desiccated, barely present.”

The two i would choose are Cedrat Enivrant & Rose Anonyme with a Lime Green case.

    cheers!

  • This is for the review of Mistral Patchouli one of my favorites from Atelier
“I used the patchouli fraction to get rid of the smoky, earthy effect of patchouli. I wanted a pure leafy, airy patchouli. So I used the fraction which smelled to me fresh and leafy.” This is a great description of the patchouli fraction as it is airy and green. I would also say it retains a bit of the herbal nature of patchouli without ever becoming overwhelming.
My picks for the Bespoke are:
    Cedrat Envirant
    Vetiver Fatal
    Blue Gray case.
I live in the US. Thanks!

  • “Oolang Infini is a snapshot of India during the Raj as the opening has a cool gin and citrus opening followed by an afternoon tea heart of smoky oolong before retiring to the wood paneled drawing room for a whiff of tobacco.”Anything that references a Raj gets points, IMO. My choices would be:
Trefle pur & Orange Sanguine with the Lime green case.
Thank you for the draw and happy holidays. I live in the US

  • A line about my so-far favorite from the house:
“There are no rough edges to these woods; they have been sanded and polished to be as smooth as silk.”
    And it’s so true!
I would choose Trefle Pur et Vanille Insensee. In Venetian Blue- so beautiful.
    I’m in the US.

  • Santal Carmin review by Tama Blough: “Santal Carmin is well-suited for a modern gentleman, but ladies will like it, too. It is very nicely done, with good close-in longevity and moderate sillage.”

    1. Oolang Infini, 2. Trefle Pur 🙂 US.

  • From the review of Cedrat Envirant from Jan 8, 2014:
“Cedrat Envirant starts with a refreshing fanfare of cedrat and lime a figurative sprig of mint floats on top of the citrus with a fantastic bergamot providing the sparkle. Hr. Schwieger then adds the gin in the presence of juniper berries but they are also supplemented by a bit of basil which really accents the herbal facets common to gin.”

I would love to have either Ambre Nue or Mistral Patchouli. The leather case color I choose is burgundy. Thanks for the great draw! I live in the US.

  • Jennifer Witt says:

Mistral Patchouli makes me want to explore the seven seas on a quest for adventure. Now all I need is a skull and cross bones flag and a buckle to swash and I’m the pirate of perfumery. — Steven Lindquist, Sr. Contributor review of Atelier Cologne Absolue Mistral Patchouli (2013) Dog Days of Summer post. I would choose Oolang Infini and Trèfle Pur, with a lemon colored case. Fun draw! Thanks.

  • “When I tried Mistral Patchouli for the first time I realized there was no Calone but there was a great salty marine accord blowing across my senses.” – Mark Behnke. I’d like to win the Mistral Patchouli and the Oolang Infini in a black case. TY usa

  • Then over the last few hours just like the glow you get from having imbibed a well-made drink Cedrat Envirant mellows down to a woody glow of vetiver, elemi, and tonka shedding all of the cocktail components for a warm finish. From the Jan 8 review.
I would love Ambre Nue and Vetiver Fatal in the Aubergine case. I am in the US and a huge fan of Atelier Cologne’s thanks to the reviews from the writers of CaFleureBon.

  • Donna Spiegel says:

From the Santal Carmin Review 5/12/2014: I suspect that the saffron and gaiac play a part in this, but before that, the sassy limette in the opening helps the perfume to open on skin with a bright fanfare.

My 2 selections are Rose Anonyme and Grand Neroli

    Case Color is Aubergine

I am in the US – thank you so much.

    Happy Holidays to all 🙂

  • Thank you for this generous draw! I am in the US and the quote I choose: “Silver Iris is an inviting friend asking you to come over and chat. When I first sprayed this on my skin it fairly shimmered off of it like a heat mirage in luminous waves.”

My cologne absolue choices are: Orange Sanguine and Vetiver Fatal. My choice of color is “Burgundy”

    Thank you!

  • From the August 25, 2012 review of Rose Anonyme: What M. Epinette has done is create the Benjamin Button of rose fragrances. In the early stages the rose feels like a pressed corsage, aged and desiccated, barely present. Then like a magic trick it reanimates itself into a full blown rose before giving itself back to the woodiness of the bush as a bud.
I would love Rose Anonyme and Orange Sanguine with the Venetian Blue case. I am in the US. Thank you so much!

  • “Orange flower and astringent violet leaves bring the olfactory sunglasses out and they usher in the vetiver note.” – Vetiver Fatal.

There’s something about the phrase “olfactory sunglasses” that left an impression in my head – and there’s not too many bright, cheery vetivers out there, to boot!

I would like Vetiver Fatal and Rose Anonyme if chosen, along with the Burgundy case! I’m in the US – thanks for the opportunity!

  • “The soft sweetness so thick it feels as viscous as honey.” – Rose Anonyme

I would choose Grand Neroli and Rose Anonyme with that cheerful Lemon case. Thanks for the drawing! I’m in the US.

  • From the review of Gold Leather and Silver Iris from July 13, 2013: “This gives them a reflective quality like a mirror and I think both of these new fragrances take their cues from the metals in their name as Gold Leather is warmer and Silver Iris is brighter.” I would choose Blanche Immortelle and Santal Carmin, with the Aubergine case. Thank you! I’m in the U.S.

  • “Rendez-Vous opens with a spicy citrus scent composed of Calabrian bergamot, pink pepper and Sicilian lemon, approximating the anticipation of a couple’s first kiss.”
I would love to have Trèfle Pur and Vanille Insensée. The leather case color I would choose is Venetian Blue. Thanks for the great draw! I live in Canada.

  • “Santal Carmin is a real treat for sandalwood lovers. M. Epinette has skillfully blended this scent to be reminiscent of the creaminess of the rare Mysore sandalwood whilst still achieving a good modern sandalwood fragrance”

I love Atelier Cologne …so many choices but I would choose Rose Anonyme and Vanille Insensee in the burgundy case . I am a USA reader

  • From the Review of Orange Sanguine “The heart is the rose-like quality of geranium with the greener aspects of that note accentuated so it is only lightly floral…with the more acidic qualities of the orange.” If I win I would like Trèfle Pur and Amber Nue. Leather case color burgundy. Thanks for the draw!

  • From Mark’s review comparing Cedrat Envirant with Orange Sanguine: “I think Cedrat Envirant is similarly easy to wear but it has a bit more of a rakish charm with its gin-soaked heart.”

I would love the rakish Cedrat Envirant and the easy to wear Orange Sanguine with an Aubergine case.

Thank you for the draw and for the many reviews of Atelier Cologne fragrances. It is fun to wander through the reviews looking for something wonderful.

  • I managed to grab some Rendez-Vous after it came out and Nancy Knows’ review summed up my feelings from her review in July very straightforwardly:

“When you’re head over heels in love, you don’t want variety, you only want your beloved, and I could happily wear Rendez-Vous day after day without ever growing tired of it.”

I could not agree more wholeheartedly!

If I won, I would love to have Cedrat Envirant and Oolang Infini, with the Venetian Blue case. Thank you for such a lovely draw and Happy Holidays!

  • Thanks for the contest!

Quote from the Rose Anonyme review ” The time
machine continues to whirl and now we return to the
earth the rose bush sprang from.”

If I win I would pick Mistral Patchouli and Rose Anonyme with a blue gray case.

  • “As it intensifies it recalls the coriander and jasmine and it never turns as sweet as vanilla usually does. It also doesn’t turn green like other fragrances which tilt toward the vanilla lily.” –Mark Behnke from the January 26, 2011 review of Vanille Insensee, my first love in the Atelier Cologne family!

If I win, I would choose Bois Blonds and Oolang Infini with the Venetian Blue case.

Thanks for the draw, Atelier Cologne and Cafleurebon! Happy Holidays!

  • Cynthia Richardson says:

In Valerie Vitale’s April 6, 2014 review of Atelier Cologne Cédrat Enivrant, she says “It represents a new fragrance family called Cologne Absolue, and possesses a juicy brightness, as all colognes do, but has more lasting power and tenacity than most. Somehow the first days of spring make everything seem easier to accomplish; suddenly there is a fresh take on life.”
I would chose Trefle Pur and Vetever Fatal in an Aubergine case.

  • “A man of such great power and charisma could have anything he asked. Despite it all,
he could not have the only thing he really wanted. For the first time in his life, he had found
the absolue woman and he was a better man for it. He would not let her go. Anything but that.
He would trade all the gold in the world to be with her.”
Atelier Gold is a favorite of mine. July 8th, 2013 article.

I would choose Atelier Vetiver Fatal & Cedrat Enivrant. I love the Yellow atomizer.
Thank you for such an amazing draw. What a treat.

  • I like this evocative description of the charms of the tea note, one of my favorites, “Oolang Infini is a snapshot of India during the Raj as the opening has a cool gin and citrus opening followed by an afternoon tea heart of smoky oolong before retiring to the wood paneled drawing room for a whiff of tobacco.”

Of course I would appreciate Oolong Infini as well as Orange Sanguine in the Aubergine case.

    Thank you!

  • “Trefle Pur (pure clover) could be fairly described as “a roll in the hay” a bright, green, citrusy, summer fresh meadow grass scent. Absolutely lovely, I could apply this daily and never get tired of it. I would say this is a perfect men’s and women’s cologne, and a perfect gift. I love the purity and happy charm of this scent.”

I’d choose Bois Blonds and, of course, Trèfle Pur with the burgundy case.

I am in the USA. Thank you for the draw.

  • Blanche Immortal:
” A touch of citrus gives way to a gauzy floral choir that sings a soothing, harmonious hymn, with the immortelle providing the melody.”
I would choose the new scent Encrine and Rendevous with a case in lemon or venetian blue.
Love this. I am in USA /Los Angeles

  • i love the gold leather. i could not have win since i’m not live in USA or Canada. if i were there and i won, i’d prefer bois blonde and ambre nue. i love them all. can’t really decide. lol
