Famous Moms a collage by Tama Blough

One of the most memorable posts to appear on CaFleureBon was May 7, 2010, when 28 friends in fragrance, including Pierre Guillaume, Josie Natori, Gerald Ghislain, Victoria Christian, Rodrigo Flores Roux, Michel Roudnitska, bloggers and perfumers  wrote about the scents their Mothers wore.  I am not sure we could ever top that, so this month we will honor Mother’s Day a different way. Your task to claim last month’s spilled perfume is to match the Editors and Contributors with the famous mothers they admire.

The first reader to match the seven contributors and editors with the  famous mother they chose  will win two perfumes of their choice. BE SURE TO INDICATE AT LEAST TWO PERFUMES YOU WOULD LIKE TO WIN  (COUNTRY RESTRICTIONS)  IN YOUR COMMENT, JUST IN CASE YOU DO WIN.  If no one guesses correctly, the draw is random and don't complain if you don't get exactly what  you want or you will have to spend three weeks in a tanning salon with the Tanning Mom. Format of your guess must include the name of the editor and the name of the famous mother to be eligble.  (For example, David Falsberg, NAME OF FAMOUS MOM). Draw closes May 13, 2014.

Even if you don't guess all correctly, want your comment to count twice? Leave the favorite scent memory from our 2010 tribute Scented Memories of Our Mothers

We announce the winners only on site and on our Facebook page, so Like Cafleurebon and use our RSS option…or your dream prize will be just spilled perfume.

My favorite scent memory from the 2010 tribute to mothers is : “My mother of Greek decent MariaTatika had a contagious joie de vivre. Was ever the fashion plate, often in Halston and always in heels; she loved Opium and Opium loved her. I often take off the heavy silver stopper of her cut crystal perfume bottle still holding a few precious drops of vintage Opium and breath in the memories. So evocative the images of glamour and joy conjuring the memories of her ever present laughter.”- Maria McElroy, Perfumer and Owner of Aroma M
